‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    KradI agree with what you said, I said back awhile that we are going to loose him so to speak, to bigger and better things, I was a little on the line of politics. But you all can say we know him when weep Smug

    While big names like Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry are expected each year, the big surprise for 2013 was the inclusion of Queen Featuring Adam Lambert.

    how cute that he says he gets to perform here with Queen now, it must mean a lot to him.

    And to all the Radio Stations that wouldnt play him Kiss our and Adams butt ROTFL .

    No you know what, It isnt all the radio stations faults, with the average songs stupid RCA released. I bet Adam fought about that, and lost, so glad he walked away.

    Whats this about a re release of Trespassing? Then they can release the proper single, and after all this you can be sure the radio stations will be jumping on being the first to play it. lalalala just me in my dream world Smirk

    Nope—-not on my “bucket list” but he seems like a nice guy and loves Adam!!! BTW watched all you lovely Glamberts in San Diego but didn”t connect as granddaughters kept me busy walking the Fair and doing their stuff but they LOVED you too–a wonderful concert!!!!!

    Cannot make any sense of that Trespassing re-release story but it was afloat all day yesterday. I think Shoshanna’s “not yet” tweet was mis-interpreted or intended to answer a different twitter query. It doesn’t appear to be there any more, either.

    I saw that Cuckoo story, too, Miss Chaos. It was on GMA this morning. Apparently the book was very well reviewed but she only sold 1500 units. Critics were so sure that it was the work of a seasoned writer that they started digging and presto – the book will be Runnin’ runnin’ runnin’…..off the shelves any minute. Silly

    My mind has been thinking those exact thoughts, Kradamour. While all this big news for Adam is exciting and what we all want for him, a part of me too feels when all the rest of the world realizes what we have felt for years, it will never be the same. I’ll probably never get that M&G or the signature that I’ve been waiting for – or the chance to bump into him getting out of an elevator!
    Oh well, I’ll take my loss anyday if it comes as a result of the success and fame that Adam deserves. I also believe that Adam will always remember and appreciate his fandom that was there in the beginning, its in his blood, part of why we love him.

    Ah, sistasif, I know…and like raising a child, letting go is the hardest and best thing that any parent can do.
    Adam was “raised” by us with the love and support he needed to get the wind under his wings…now it is his turn to soar, and our turn to look on with wonder and pride.

    Is it confirmed that Queen/Adam are closing the show? I heard they will be in Friday’s show. People booking flights/hotels should check this out.

    eta: answered my own question. Adam/Queen is Friday. It’s on their website.

    Speaking of confidence, Krad…. I feel so certain that all of this ‘goodness’ right now (Glee, I Heart Radio, etc.) is what propelled Adam to feel just fine (and confident) about his decision to walk away from RCA! Yes

    I might sit this one out. Besides spending enough $$$$ on San Diego, I did see Queenbert last year and would like to see some Queen fans get in so that they can report back to their fellow fans how amazing it is.
    Poor little critters. They have no chance against the Glambert ticket-scoring juggernaut.

    My tongue is sore from biting it every time one of you says you don’t want to share him. I’m maternal with him, too, but I can’t kick him out of the nest fast enough for this. Just dying to see him centre-stage every night in front of sold-out stadium audiences. (Every second night – don’t want him to strain his voice.)

    Here’s what I worry about: tomorrow Glee is sending him out on his first interview after Cory Monteith’s passing and I’m terrified that a very sad and understandably distraught Gleek will misunderstand something he says and we’ll have to spend all day explaining to them that he is a great guy and meant something quite different. Ever since OUT magazine, I get the shivers before big interviews.

    Dear rs, I hope you had a comfortable and enjoyable flight home. After you feel rested, I hope we’ll hear from you soon!

    I am home after a long and bumpy, but uneventful (for a change) trip back. Slept for just two hours when I got home, but I am pretty wiped out, and not just from the jet lag. It was such a wonderful trip with so many fabulous highlights (all Adam and Glambert connected, of course)that I was anticipating for so many months…..Now I have to come down from the high, watch the vids from Universal, San Diego, and L.A., download and work on my photos from the concert and the photos of all of the peeps I met, etc, etc etc.

    I might be going to Peru at the beginning of October, but I don’t think that I could come to Las Vegas a full two weeks beforehand to see Adam and Queen. And would it be a full show or just a few songs? If they perform somewhere else after that, it would be a possibility.

    And as to the comments about losing Adam when he gets hugely popular. Things will certainly change if and when his popularity explodes, but I truly believe that Adam will continue to do his thing, and he loves the connection with the audience in a smaller venue. He won’t give it up. And he doesn’t forget or abandon his friends, either. He knows how much he means to us and he has shown us countless times how much we mean to him. He won’t forget us. He might be less accessible, but it is the price to pay for what we wanted for him. We can’t have it both ways (keeping him for ourselves AND world/US recognition).

    And on that note I am going to try and get some sleep. Night Yawn Sleepy

    I am taking this a step at a time. Many steps taken in the right direction this week, but no “superstar” yet. I am thrilled for every step closer he gets. And I believe just like Adam will always be thankful to Idol, he will always be thankful to his initial group of fans. At least that is what I will be telling myself LOL.

    So this morning on my hour long ride to work in aggravating bumper to bumper moving nowhere traffic ( yes. It actually happens here ), I was listening to IHeart Radio, Elvis Duran, and the had the lineup reading live.

    I nearly drove off the road!!!!!!! Fist pumping and bouncing in my seat, nearly spilled my coffee in my nice new car.

    After a couple of minutes, Elvis and the gals were positively fangirling and squealing about Adam and Queen!! Screw the rest of ’em, because they were flailing about ADAM! On a nationally syndicated radio show.

    Then.

    I went to work.

    Talking about Corey Monteith just everywhere. Unreal.

    Then a gal I work with, young, 24, asked me if I heard the lineup for the festival. I said, unh-hunh, and grinned. Now, mind you, she has NO knowledge of my Glamberting.

    She said, I kid you not, ” I just might have to try to get tickets. My sister and I are totally in love with ADAM LAMBERT.”

    I almost fell over.

    I invited her to a secret showing.

    That’s right. I whipped ’em out. Haven’t done so in a super long time. My M&G pics.

    Then she nearly passed out.

    I will be gifting her a DVD. Thanks jlurks.

    I’ll let ya’all know how it turns out.

    Oh Calgary, I feel your pain. I can’t go because I have no PTO, but, I am seeing Vintage Trouble that same day.

    I hope we can see it live.

    I hope there are more dates.

    I hope he has more announcements.

    I hope he does become involved with Idol.

    I hope Glee works out really really well.

    I hope he gets a song or role in a new movie.

    I hope he does some vocals for the Freddie bio-pic.

    I hope Trespassing is indeed re-released.

    I hope he has a new song or EP soon.

    I hope he positively explodes.

    I hope any of us will ever have the chance to one on one with him again.

    I hope that any of us ever get the chance to be up front and close again.
