‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    By the way, Ryan already announced earlier that this will be televised for the first time this year, so we will see it regardless. (Not live I think, but televised.)

    Interesting. They announced about 6 acts, including Timberlake and Adam + Queen. Then the said there would be a daystage for the first time. Looks like they are featured front-and-centre.

    I see the difference between last night’s “tentative” list and today’s official list is the exclusion of Paul McCartney and Zedd and the inclusion of J. Cole.

    Congratulations Adam! I’m already happy for those who will be heading out to Vegas in a couple of months!

    Oh how I love that this rumor about queenbert in Vegas is true Grin It’s a great exposure, and happy for US glamberts/queenberts. Have to say the whole line-up in that concert is pretty “big” Big Smile I wish I could be there. But I am waiting for the announcement what that London tv thing is, if queenbert I would definitely go there.

    It was also nice to see Adam in the same picture with Sauli, very relaxed both… What’s in the bag? I bet coffee and bagels Wink

    She also writes this might be the tv appearance in London (iTunes festival). It’s also in September. Have to go and study more…

    ETA: Maybe the “special guest” is a reference to Freddie Mercury and the video footage they use of him during the show?

    Wonder if the talk of TJR being around with Brian and Queen, could mean he is playing with them, and then the possibility them playing one of Adams songs.
    Wonder if they will bring out some Queens songs that they spoke about that hadnt been played yet? That would be awesome. Adam singing some new songs, and Queen songs that no one ever heard. Of course they will play some of some of there famous songs.
    So cute that Miley said Lambert is going to be there, they make such a big deal about him, hahaha. When the hell is his 15 minutes of fame gonna be up, lololol, wait what is that noise again- oh ya more heads exploding~~~~~!!!!!!

    I just have to say, all these announcements during past week have been planned perfectly. First the Glee-thing, then leaving RCA and then this.     I feel guilty about posting this.

    Like everyone else here, I have wanted so badly for Adam to find the success he so richly deserves, and it looks like it really is within touching distance! And I am so very happy and proud of our boy!
    Laugh Laugh Laugh
    But…(stubs toe)…there is just the littlest silly twinge that he won’t be ours any longer, that he will have outgrown the care and nurturing of his glamberts and be fully launched. We won’t need to buy dozens of copies of his albums, we won’t need to endlessly vote for him on silly poll after silly poll…he won’t belong just to his first fans any longer (not that he ever did), and it is the end of the sort of interactions that we have enjoyed for the last several years in small venues, little meet and greets, signings after concerts…
    It is probable that we will never again sit on the lawn of a venue of 1000 people to see Adam in spiked shorts performing on the banks of the Potomac.
    Or in an abattoir.
    Or a dive in Paris.
    Thinking
    So, there is just the littlest, tiniest bit of selfish and stupid longing for what has been, as his superstar career begins the inevitable trajectory.

    Ron, I think the surprise guests refers to other iHeart artists, who will be announced throughout the summer. It is a separate announcement at the end of the list, not part of the Queen+Adam performance.

    The rumours about Miley and Keith being judges had been circulating on twitter since GMA tweeted yesterday that they would be joining Ryan Seacrest to make a special announcement on this morning’s show. That’s partly why I was watching. (skeered!) I didn’t want to make anyone feel down about something so speculative so I didn’t mention it here. Media didn’t pick up on it so I’m thinking it was idle speculation.

    I know that we have said it before, but it really DOES seem that all is aligned this time, simply because there is strong positive movement on many fronts: television, Queenbert, new label for new music…I think that even the downest Debbie would have to look at this and feel confident about our boy’s future.
