‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    Just feel so relieved and happy that things appear to be going well. I’m sure there’ll be more bumps in the road down the pike (thank you, Adam) – but this peaceful space of time is just so welcome.

    Wow. Those WAG shows were so dramatic. In hindsight they were one big audition for something even bigger!!

    I’m waiting to hear what Shoshana’s next announcement and hint will be.

    I still think he’ll be on Idol in some capacity.

    I’m also dy-ing to hear WHY TJR and Abrea were meeting with Brian May. Why, why, why, what jaw dropping news is next?

    Loved this comment under the article about RCA:

    Leaving RCA is the best move he can make…in my opinion, they have never given him the support that he so richly deserves. He’s been left hanging by them on many occasions…from giving him little to no support on his glorious sophomore album, Trespassing, to being days late in Tweeting out support for his many awards and accolades that he has received over the past years.

    There have been many times when we, as his fans, have been completely appalled and apoplectic at the lack of support and promo for him from RCA. We’ve tried everything in the Universe to participate with them and be a part of the support and promo for Adam, but there has been absolutely no interest on their part to celebrate this magnificent artist.

    My guidelines that AL reposted earlier regarding posting play by play from other sites are very much in effect at this time. Please keep that in mind when posting.

    I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for the amazing new music. Hope the Glee gig is a major role and that he has some other acting parts or an Idol judge slot lined up. He will need the money.

    This sucks but is not a particular surprise IMO.

    For some reason I think now we just might have an album or EP for the holidays. Something was in the works for months. Talks with another label? With the fast changing music industry I really believe Adam just must get new music out there now rather than later. IMO of course. And I am usually wrong. Smile

    I am sad that Adam has been either forced to walk away or dropped by his major label. In our heart of hearts we probably all knew that this had already happened or was going to soon. When the label didn’t support Trespassing or a tour in the US, it became apparent that they weren’t invested in Adams’ future. I really think that RCA is divesting itself of artists connected to Idol unless its Kelly or Carrie. In that respect it is better for Adam to be free to pursue other avenues than be strung along like Jordan Sparks and the album that never materializes. All I can say is that I love this guy,and will continue to follow and support him where ever this new era takes him. Hopefully another label with more vision will pick him up and have more confidence in his undeniable talent to get behind him and promote him as he deserves. All I know is that I’m following where ever Adam will lead us. I just know in my heart that this is a new beginning and not the end.

    I think Adam is very smart, has a strong network of friends and connections that we don’t even know about, and has balls of steel.

    This takes courage and well-planned out sequencing of events.

    He has had some very high profile events and acknowledgement this past year or so. He is so out there for name recognition it’s nuts.

    I fully expect him to have some other major news very soon. A new label, an announcement of an EP, maybe Idol in some way, and more acting or soundtrack potentials.

    I think in so many ways so much of what he does is in code. He has deliberate hints all the time.

    Singing Time for Miracles on WAG?? All of a sudden he just pulls that out of his hat? Not a mistake. A clue or “audition.” = Soundtrack. I’m still hoping for Chokehold for 50 Shades of Gray.

    TJR with Brian May?? C’mon. I mean, just C’MON. That is just going to be something big.

    All those positive reviews and mentions of Adam with Pharrell? C’mon.

    I’m thinking that on Glee there will be chances to do some songs from Tresspassing. Especially Kickin’ In and Shady. Heck, I even would not be surprised to see Nile pop in on the action.

    Bottom line: Adam will be fine. He’s coming out on top here.

    Balls of Steel. Who needs Ironman or Superman? We have our Adam. ‘Nuff for me.

    So, I have this summer’s song stuck in my head like an ear worm. And the other one too.

    Blurred Lines and Get Lucky.

    These songs should have been Shady and Kickin In or Pop That Lock. Easily. Hands down. Those songs should have been heard.

    Wow, what a week!

    Well, I can say that I couldn’t love, respect, or admire Adam more than I do right now.

    I love his letter, and it actually makes me happy. I’m definitely NOT happy with RCA that they were not sufficiently satisfied with Trespassing that they did a pisspoor job promoting it, and then couldn’t see fit to support Adam in era 3, but I AM happy that the artist I stan has the integrity and the courage to hold his head high and set his own course to pursue his passion and his vision, even when it’s not the easy road to travel.

    I’m also really pleased with the way this news is being rolled out and give A+ props to his management and PR teams. I have no doubt that his management is hard at work shopping another deal for him and that we will hear more news, perhaps even soon.

    Adam will most definitely land on his feet, and I daresay that he may well be better off with another label other than RCA, one that actually gets him and supports him, even if it’s smaller. RCA had a massive talent in Adam, and they had no clue about how to properly promote him.

    I look forward to seeing where his new path takes him, and I can’t wait to hear his “new sound and direction” that he is “deep into writing”! – even if I have to wait a little while. I want to hear Adam’s music that reflects what’s in his heart and his brain, and I want to support his vision.

    Remember that Shosh recently said, “this is only just the beginning” in reference to Adam. There’s more coming! I can feel it!

    mils and cwm, I am totally in your team with this. I hate what RCA has (or rather hasn’t) done supporting Trespassing and am sorry for their attitude, but if it is what it is, I think this was best thing for Adam to do. He has a great visibility and talent, and great management. I hope he will find a record company who can fully appreciate a proud gay artist. I love it when he does covers, but I want that when he does them, it comes from his heart and own will.

    I’ve been waiting for today for a long time. I’ll finally be able to meet and will be spending the afternoon/evening with rs!

    The “Fab Five” Toronto ladies and I are going to TLKC‘s for a backyard picnic where I’m also looking forward to seeing M and her very talented photographer husband JP again.

    With the hot and humid day that it looks like it’s going to be, I don’t have to put any thought into what I’m wearing.

    The most depressing news to me yesterday wasn’t that Adam parted ways with RCA, it was that aely left. I am sorry if my “Words to the wise” started a train conversation that made her feel isolated at a time when she was sorely sad about the way Adam is seen and treated by some in the world and needed to talk about it. Hope she is okay.

    It’s one thing to disagree with someone or let someone know that you aren’t comfortable with their train of thought. It’s quite another thing to invoke “the law”. We were very heavy-handed with her yesterday.
