‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    Quite a few of Adam’s friends will benefit, I am guessing. He is quick to help whenever he can.

    Okay, so I sort of understand Glee now but it is very hard for me to picture exactly what the show is. Someone wondered above (who has also not seen Glee before) whether they would have to watch all the prior seasons for it to make sense. Is that the case? Do I need to check Netflix and start watching past seasons? Or at least the immediate past season? (Sheesh, what we do for Adam!)

    Would be delightful if Adam were to start spending time on this coast!

    Whether one episode or not, I am going to throw out the possibility that Glee may be the reason for the moustache.

    Oh, no! Please no! the possibility that he would have to keep the caterpillar for the show…I was just happily speculating that he would have to shave for filming!

    Yes, more information is definitely needed. A guest spot on just one or a few shows would be big for Adam. Anything more would be HUGE! The advantage of the former scenario is that it would leave more time for Adam to pursue other career opportunities, including his own music/album. His appearance on Glee would be perfect timing if it coincided with the release of a new single. It can only help. Yes

    Wow, hope Ryan Murphy is taking note of the worldwide press coverage! Adam is such a media darling, and coupled with Glee, just wow!
    Btw, can someone tell me how a show just renewed for two more seasons is “dying”? And one with a global audience, perfect for Adam?

    I watch Glee every episode and DVR them, have DVDs and went to see the movie Glee.

    Glee is also very big overseas.

    This immediate and vast coverage must be so gratifying for Adam…if there was ever any question that he was a character of overwhelming media interest, this pretty much resolves that uncertainty!

    Okay, so, I’m home early from work today, YAY! And I have an Adam fantasy Glee plot line idea. I usually despise fanfic, but, here goes:

    In New York: There is a great underground Glam rock band, whose lead singer has gone AWOL. Curt goes to see the band, but they can’t go on because said singer is AWOL. And in true Glee fashion, somehow Curt ends up onstage and becomes the new lead singer. Many Velvet Goldmine type scenes and costumes evolve from this. When all of a sudden, after a few episodes of Glam Rock escapades for Curt, who shows up? Why the real lead singer of the band. ADAM. A “war” ensues between them. Many chances to out-sing each other. To out-glam each other. And then make up, make out or just become friends in glam.

    By the way, the band is TJR et al. On TV.

    For anyone who wonders about Glee, if it is needed to catch up, etc. As a fan since episode one, I think you could catch up by reading a plot synopsis from Wikipedia, you could go to the official website from Fox and catch up, but, you really should see some key performances. I’ll try to post some when I can.

    There have been many guest stars in repeat episode story lines. Including, Kate Hudson ( who has met Adam, whose partner is Matthew Bellamy of MUSE ), Ricky Martin, Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenowith, Sara Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, and many others.

    Now that some of the characters have graduated and moved to New York, there is so much more potential for interesting and more mature story lines. Last year’s New York scenes were so much better than the high school fluff. IMHO.

    Has anyone ever appeared on the show as themselves?

    I haven’t watched “Glee” but, in my imagined scenario, continuing with the “Funny Girl” set up, Lea gets the part (of course) and Adam comes in as himself to audition for “Nicky Arnstein”. He (of course) gets the part and it goes on from there.

    Adam get to play two roles: Nicky Arnstein and Adam Lambert!
