Exciting times are upon us as July begins! Adam has just completed an outstanding first full length concert with Queen at a charity event in Kiev, Ukraine (as captured in the photo above). Five more Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are lined up for Moscow, Wroclaw (Poland) and London during the next couple of weeks. Adam will then return to the United States to play a series of solo concerts during the second half of the month, including gigs in Costa Mesa, Sacramento, Des Moines, Thackerville (Oklahoma), and a much anticipated return to the site of one of his first and most memorable concerts at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. All told, Adam will perform in 10 live concerts this month, which will make this his busiest month for live performances since November 2010 when he was in the European portion of the Glam Nation Tour. Kradamour…wanted to mention I really like Joan Rivers. I think that beyond all the crap about fashion she spews, that her & Adam would really get along. The banter between then would be great. I wish he would just pop in on Fashion Police sometime.
The upside if AI chooses a country dude is that I won’t have to waste time watching that…exactly right, Oksana…boring show unless Adam is a guest. I gave up on it when WGWG won over Haley Rinehart. Saving my time/money for Queenbert in NAmerica!!
Hello all-
I have just finished going back through 17 pages on this July thread trying to catch up on what you’ve all been doing while I was away and beyond.
As some of you know-many of us came back from London sick…but worth it. The Duke and I got the really raw end of whatever it was and have been laid low now for 2 weeks+. We drove 400+ miles to Scotland to start our vacation after the 2nd Queen/Adam concert with hopes that what I had was just a cold. No such luck. Instead the Duke got sick too and we spent 3 days in our Edinburgh Scotland hotel pretty sick & barely able to leave the room. Then we drove 400+ miles back to London having changed our flight home from July 24 to July 18. When I was unable to fly then we changed it to next day and did finally make it back to Naples where we saw the doctor the next day..Diagnosis-Flu PLUS sinus infection and bronchitis. 10 days on meds and we are still struggling!(I think it’s bubonic plague)
Anyway, I haven’t gone through the individual show threads mostly because it was hard to focus and primarily because my hearing is quite distorted and nothing about Adam sounds right (and I know the 1st 2 London shows were perfect!) Maybe I will just READ and go back later for the vids.

I am, however, looking for Turquoisewaters’ “best vids from QueenBert” that I’ve seen referenced and some good mp3s for an entire show(on any one of the dates)so I can make a CD for my listening pleasure(if I ever get my hearing back). I’m assuming these are all probably in the individual show threads but if anyone can provide a link or tell me where to find it I would be forever grateful.
Let me tell you-we wouldn’t have missed Queen/Adam for the world and the pleasure of meeting so many peeps on this fansite & elsewhere at the wonderful dinner we attended BUT we certainly would take a pass on the aftermath!

What a travail, little dutchess – being sick is bad enough – but being sick away from home even worse. Happy to hear that you and the Duke are on the mend.
But I’m sure you’ll have a great deal of pleasure perusing all the threads and videos you’ve missed – that should help the recovery as being happy can be a plus in that direction. And he definitely makes us all happy (when we aren’t worrying, that is – lol).

I think mj’s is going to have to totally re-vamp her site. Everything is too watered down now. Too many reality shows, too many former idols. It’s a shame.
Has anyone ever tried to contact Fox or American Idol? It is IMPOSSIBLE!!! The last half hour I’ve been searching to find an e-mail address.
And I hate The Voice. Not one winner or runners up have had success. And x-factor? Nothing that I know of. Adam broke them all.

Since we are mostly here now I want to say that I too (along with adamized) feel that Tommy still doesn’t look comfortable on stage. Now the rest is my opinion. Besides uncomfortable he looks bored & disinterested & awkward like he doesn’t want to be there. Head banging not in tune. Even with the pink hair (ugh), he slides into the background. Yes, I know Adam is the HBIC but come on! Have a bit of a personality and pizzazz especially when doing your solos! I almost thought Adam would re-do the band but again these are just concert previews. Not the real thing. I would like to see Adam bring in another lead guitarist. Sorry Tommy lovers. I love him too but……
I noticed all this in Fantasy Springs. But again, in my opinion.
Ever since the “yawning” radio gigs, luval, been even less of a fan (and wasn’t much of a one to begin with). And, IMO, these TommyCams illustrate what a dud he is onstage. Makes me feel tired just looking at him. Gawd you’re only thirty, baby, stay awake.

That would be terrific! I have been playing MAP over and over again in the car…love that song! I think it would be very radio friendly!
There are so many more songs that could be singles. I too am currently obsessed with Map. Trespassing, Shady, Kickin In don’t get old for me, and I do think there should be one song with some attitude released as a single.

Sorry to hear you both got so sick whilst in the UK, not fun travelling when you’re not well.
re Tommy, he seems a nice guy, and loves Adam. I’m not a huge fan (although always prefered him to Monte), and tend to not really look what he’s doing on stage,but agree he does come across as very shy, which probably isn’t ideal when you have to get up on stage in front on thousands of people. .
I’d just like him to look like he’s a little bit interested in what he’s doing, HK fan – it’s his lack of energy that I find odd. But he’s Adam’s choice and we all know of his loyalty to his friends – so while I accept the choice in one respect, I don’t have to like it. Perhaps something will happen to change my mind – I’m open to that – but that’s how it stands right now. (The other band members are all just super great, and that compensates for TJ a lot.)
I’d like to thank rainbowgal4 for doing that Ustream – the audio was excellent and I enjoyed it so much. Whatta voice – thrilling.
Me, too, rainbowgal – and as someone else posted, thank you so much for sacrificing some of your “in the moment” time to provide that livestream for us at home. That was a lovely and gracious thing to do.
Re Tommy…I actually think that he is a terrific foil for Adam, almost a straight man to a comedian. It is obvious that he is very serious about what he does, and I enjoy watching him wander around the stage. It is obvious that the others think a lot of him.
I think that Ashley can seem just as reserved as Tommy – and that they make a good team.
But I am happy to be in the minority if others don’t agree!
OK, Krad – I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt because I respect your opinion. But that’s only applicable if he never again yawns when sitting next to Adam while the boy’s singing his heart out.

So unless we catch a glimpse of Adam in Whole Foods it looks like the next event is August 15th in Tokyo.
Timewise from me (central New York) it looks like I am 13 hours behind Tokyo time. So if the show starts at 8pm it’s 7am where I am. Of course right when I am at work.
It is about time to take stock of Adam’s pants. A list is in order. When mils gets back maybe she can do this. Or I could start one & stumble through it.
eta: And Riskylady last night mentioned Brian May being in Costa Mesa…so maybe he will get together with Adam & his people! Can’t imagine them not meeting up.
ITA Especially about Ashley, she doesn’t show much emotion either. I like them both and am not even bothered about Tommy yawning, I think it is just a habit or reflex with him, not boredom. I figure he is a guitar player and “its all Rock and Roll to me”!

I’m thinking that this may be a good opportunity for Adam and Sauli to get away together for a short while. Adam may feel he needs a break from traveling, though. The more I think about it, the more I feel that they are probably looking forward to just spending some down time together at their lovely home.

With everything that has been happening with Queen, concert promos, Idol rumors it shows how important it is for him to stay in the spotlight in any way. People do forget & move on. So hopefully as has been said…Adam & his people know things that we don’t!

Some interesting discussion last night at MJs about Jimmy Iovine’s wanting to sign Adam pre-Idol (went to Zodiac Show), but Adam auditioned for Idol. Speculation as to whether Iovine would still like to sign him. (Seem to remember some of this talk years ago.) There’s a long radio interview about some of this stuff that was posted.
I voted to but I have a feeling it’s over. Good question about the country dudes. Poll must have been put together before any remote thought there would be a country person.
I swear…I will not watch Idol if it turns out to be Mariah, Randy and (………..) insert country singer here. This show will be over IMO. I still can’t understand the Mariah pick! She is not relevant in today’s music scene (yes I know she has an album coming out).
I hate the Voice too. Don’t like Adam Levine, Christina or Blake Shelton. CeLo is ok. The winner of the first season played in my town the other night. 200 people. I don’t know what happened to last season’s winner.
