Hi everyone!   I realize some of you don’t like the eyes pictures but I think this one is beautiful.  I think of looking ahead to the Festival, new single, next album and tour when I look at this picture.  This month all of us will have a huge treat to look forward to with Adam performing at the St. Agathe en Feux Festival and my good friend Suz526’s videos on 7/29!   Please keep us all updated on the plans of the rather sizeable group of you who will be attending this concert as those of us who can’t make it to Canada will live vicariously through you for this one!

Thursday evening July 7th update: thanks to angelowal, we now have a translated link to FAQs for the Festival!

    Woohoo! I’m first! What luck.

Thank you, adamland, for the EYES! I LOVE the EYES! Both last month’s and this month’s photo selections are really really beautiful. Just gorgeous. Smile

  2. Ron says:

    Ah, first comment for July?

Yes, I kind of like this photo of Adam … it’s my current PC wallpaper. Smile

  3. Ron says:

Oh, wait. CWM! Well, it’s a tie! Smile

  4. dcglam says:

Love, love, love the “looking ahead” theme! We have so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead. Adam must be spinning right about now with plans and excitement for what lies ahead.

  5. Kradamour says:

Oooh, a sneak preview of July! An hour early!
Thanks again for the work and love that goes into maintaining this site. The second monthly chat thread is a milestone! and this month will have a CONCERT!!!
Lovely eyes. The photo makes me think of the heroines of a silent movie, sort of soulful and expressive. Clara Bow, etc.
Or maybe Rudolph Valentino, he was often made up like that.

ETA: when I started typing there were no posts. Clearly I am too verbose. Smile

  6. eywflyer says:

Welcome to the July chat thread! Thanks to Adamland for finding the lovely picture up top and preparing this thread for us. Big month coming up with the St. Agathe concert to look forward to on July 29th!

As for the Glam Nation Tour anniversary recaps, the tour had an off day on July 1st so no post on Friday, followed by Charlotte on Saturday and Myrtle Beach Sunday. Then the tour had a couple of days off for the 4th of July holiday (remember the pics of Adam at the rooftop party in Atlanta).

  7. asifclueless says:

If cwm and Ron are tied @10:53 pm, then I’m Adam. YAY!!!!\\Yes, I’m pathetic. Grin

  8. asifclueless says:

Oh no!! Not even close. Anoop then.

  9. Ron says:

Anoop? I’d all but forgotten about him. He’s still performing and has gigs here and there, I think. The one from that Season that I won’t forget is … Tatiana(sp). I actually liked her voice very much! She was just so off-the-wall, though. I haven’t heard anything about her.

  10. asifclueless says:

Love looking ahead for the Festival Eyes.

    More beautiful eyes.

So are you guys in need of a really good laugh?

Let me see if I can come up with an Adam-related connection for this post, so that I’m on topic. Hmmm. Adam loves his iPhone and he sometimes tends to misspell some of his words. Which means that iPhone’s autocorrect function likely comes into play for him at least some of the time. Bingo! I’m on topic!

Check out these absolutely hilarious autocorrect “mistakes” at the “damn you autocorrect” website. I’m linking you to the “best of April,” which is an especially hysterical batch, but you can check out other months’ most popular posts too by clicking on the “most popular lists” by month in the upper right corner.

    http://damnyouautocorrect.com/8394/15-most-popular-autocorrects-from-april-2011/

I was laughing out loud so hard reading these text message horrors that I could barely breathe, my eyes were watering, and my sides were hurting. I’ll warn you, though, they are not necessarily safe for work. Smile A little dirty, but somehow I’m thinking this crowd can handle it. Wink (Hope you don’t find it too innappropriate for the blog, adamland and eywflyer! Just so funny I couldn’t resist.)

  12. asifclueless says:

I guess Anoop was 5th place. I can’t remember anybody else beyond Gokey.

Adam’s eyes look like marbles I played with when I was little.

  13. Ron says:

Those are hysterical, cwm! LOL I read all of them.

  14. nkd says:

OMG, cwm! That was hilarious! I was laughing so hard I was having trouble breathing! Today my phone corrected a misspelled “people” to “prognastic”!??? At least it wasn’t p****! Grin

  15. Ron says:

From the early 1980’s, I’ve kept this two-spread newspaper ad for a clothing store in Ottawa. Huge. Two full pages. And there in large type, bold print what should have read: Men’s Dress Shirts – only $9.99 appeared as: Men’s Dress Shits – only $9.99. Where’s the Adam tie-in … umm, I assume he wears dress shirts every now and then. Smile

  16. asifclueless says:

OMG … cwm. JOSEPH MOTHER DUCKER!!!

Hilarious!!! Thank you for the link. I can’t stop laughing.

  17. milwlovesadam says:

I really needed a laugh tonight, thanks. I’ll be sharing that with many!!

  18. cwm says:

So glad you are all enjoying the autocorrect blunders! Grin OMG, no matter how many times I read those things, I just bust out laughing. Some of them are SO outrageously funny.

  19. asifclueless says:

    More autocorrect from March.
I’ll never wear the colour FUCHIA again.

  20. nkd says:

We had kept a recipe from the newspaper for chicken enchiladas that called for two boiled children! Typos can be interesting! Not sure where the Adam tie in is, but it won’t be the first time I’m off topic!!!

  21. Kradamour says:

So, do phones actually do that, or are they freudian typos?
    Oops!

  22. cwm says:

I suspect that the iPhone programmers were having a little fun when they programmed the autocorrect function. I mean, come on, how else can you explain some of those “corrections”?

  23. nkd says:

kradamour, phones really do that! Remember the rolled pork chops?!!

And I have tears running down my cheeks and my legs! Grin

  24. cwm says:

    LMAO nekkid!

Just be careful not to badonkadonk yourself when you’re in that state!
    (from December:

  25. Ron says:

I have tears running down my cheeks and my legs

Your tear ducts must be very close to your kidneys! Smile

  26. HK fan says:

well, its not often I LOL whilst on the computer, but I am now, have tears in my eyes. My son keeps asking me what I’m laughing at! And my husband wonders why I don’t use auto correct!!!

  27. ultimathule says:

Ahh – the glory days of Season 8 – loved it so damn much – saw the guys and gals at the ghastly Verizon Center in D.C. – thank god for the jumbotrons – otherwise it would’ve been a waste of $200+ (last minute decision). Never again.
I’ve downloaded Anoop (really lovely voice), Sarver, Alison, Gokey, Kris (loved his “Alright With Me” – should’ve been his first single IMO – and the haunting “Bring It Back”).
As I may have mentioned, continue to be fascinated by the vibe of Adam’s last two pics – I’m sure he decides which ones to release – is he trying to tell us something? Knowing that clever man, going on three years now, I would say, unequivocally, yes. Devil.
And turn off the auto correct – lol.

  28. nkd says:

Tears running down my legs was in a comment after the March edition of dyac! It made me laugh even more. I gave myself an asthma attack, and I don’t have asthma! I’m trying not to badonkadonk myself! LOL

  29. Ron says:

I’m trying not to badonkadonk myself!

    Shock !

    Never mind. LOL

  30. nkd says:

    Haha Ron! Grin

Those dyac are so funny! I don’t think I can take anymore tonight!
Thank you cwm, that was a great laugh! Grin

    Ron,

At this point, I’m not 100% comfortable finalizing this because I haven’t met Stephan. We’re getting together in 2 weeks

Will wait on your “yea or nay” after you have met Stephan. Will remove
    “vacancy” sign until your decision.

  32. Ceddies says:

Hi everyone, I’m just getting here from very early this morning. It’s been a great day. You all moved on while I was out, so I’m reposting my comment from the previous thread because I don’t want anyone to miss my expression of appreciation.

I know that some of us have moved on to the July thread; but some of us are still here for a minute, so I wanted to post a comment or two.

This has been one of the best birthdays that I can remember. You guys on here have really been a blessing to me–along with my Facebook friends and my RL friends and family. The birthday wishes, video offerings, emails, phone calls…..it’s unreal to think that so many people took time out of their day or night to send Happy Birthday wishes to me. I appreciate and love each of you. I’m sure I will miss someone if I tried to name names, so I just say thank you to my friends.

I had a birthday dinner date with two of my guy buddies from high school tonight. They surprised me and showed up 30 minutes early with gifts, cake with candles, a tiara for me to wear to dinner, flowers, balloons, the works. Oh, and one of the gifts was a two-disk CD of Johnny Cash greatest hits. Stipulation was that in order for me to get to keep it, I had to agree to listen to it all the way to Quebec and back and be able to sing along when I return home. That was their way to get to keep the Johnny CD because (1) not a fan of country music (2) mostly not gonna listen to anyone but Adam on that trip, and they knew it. It was kind of a joke gift, but it was fun.

Again, thank you to each one of you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Don’t you just love Adam Lambert for bringing us together??? I don’t know where I would be if not for Adam and his influences. Down-in-the-dumps most of the time probably!

  33. Ceddies says:

Ahh – the glory days of Season 8 – loved it so damn much

ultimathule, I’m with you on this. I loved Season 8 and went to St. Louis to see them (from Mississippi). Just this week, I pulled out my AI Season 8 CD and have been listening to it in the car. My favorites from that were Lil singing “I Surrender”, Anoop singing “You were always on my mind”, and Michael Sarver singing “You are not alone” (Michael Jackson song). The CD has both Kris and Adam singing “No Boundaries”. Listening back to the song now, it wasn’t so bad I guess. I loved Adam’s version and can see how it was played on air (like sound systems in stores, etc.). Oh yeah, I also liked Allison’s “I can’t make you love me”. Yeah, a pretty good CD after all.

  34. cwm says:

Aww, Ceddies, that’s wonderful! Happy Birthday to you, and it sounds like you had a fantastic celebration and felt appreciated all day long! What a great party you had. That’s the way it should be. Smile

I was just now thinking too, how great it is the way that Adam has brought us all together, whether we’re talking about all of the ways we appreciate him and his music, or just sharing laughs, stories, experiences, and sentiments together. Smile

  35. nkd says:

Ceddies, how sweet! What a great day you had! It seems that you have some great friends. That’s one thing you can never have too many of! As for the Johnny Cash cd, just tell those guys you’ll listen to Ring of Fire, Adam’s version of course! Smile

  36. Ceddies says:

I was just now thinking too, how great it is the way that Adam has brought us all together, whether we’re talking about all of the ways we appreciate him and his music, or just sharing laughs, stories, experiences, and sentiments together. Smile

And, I’m so thankful for this blog and the fact that it is designed for us to chat about Adam but is also designed for us to discuss our trips…really all things Adam, I think.

Think I’ll go in for the night. Check you guys out tomorrow!

  37. Ceddies says:

Smile nkd, one of them likes country, country, and more country. The other likes 60’s & 70’s and country. They have both listened to Adam singing ROF and were amazed as to how far removed that was from Johnny’s version–and amazed at Adam’s voice. They both thought, though, that Johnny would have approved of Adam’s handling of the song. They really couldn’t bring themselves into this century. They do appreciate my love for Adam and have teased me a little about the Canada trip–but they know I’m dead serious when it comes to Adam and his music and fans.

Love the eyes and the pic Adamland! Woweeeee!!!

Hey jlurksacto, you and I could share a room in shifts!! When I’m going to bed, you’re getting up!!! Smile Smile Frown The nightowl and the earlybird….lolol

Everytime I start to look thru my Montreal/Quebec travel book I get sidetracked by the restaurants and don’t accomplish anything except noting more and more restaurants and foods to try. I think I’m going to join Overeaters Anonymous. I’ve got food on the brain. Adam is dessert. Smile

    Thank you, my friend.

  42. Ron says:

Whoops! I guess I spoke too soon! Smile

  43. nkd says:

I have been reading on the dyac site! I have been laughing so hard I have a headache! 454 pages of those. Plenty more for days low in laughs!

    You still awake Ron?

  44. Ron says:

Oh, geez … how many times do I find myself awake after 4am? Not often! Should of gone to bed a long time ago.

    ‘Nite!

  49. Kradamour says:

    Good morning peeps! Grin
Ditto for everything above. I love it here!
Ceddies, what a wonderful birthday! I will be smiling all day thinking about it.
Canada Day – a perfect first day for this chat thread that will include the Quebec trip!
Speaking of which, here is the final list of attendees for the concert – no need for asterisks, actually, because everyone has said they plan to be at the dinner. Ron, are you going to let Lisa know?

    The list for Ste Agathe.
Each asterisk indicates a dinner reservation.
I think that we have heard from everyone now, except Calgary.

    Calgary: perhaps

Re Season 8 – that is the only season I know anything about, but I went to the tour concert and was very impressed and had a really great time! Saw the tour in Baltimore, met a lot of the idols, got the CD autographed like a bingo card with everyone except Adam and Kris lol. I still love to hear Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” in a store or wherever, it makes me think of the cheesetastic finale.
I really enjoy Megan Joy’s music, “Boy Next Door” is exceptional and her life seems to be unfolding in such a good way. Her album is supposed to come out this summer and I’ll be watching for it.
