Happy New Year ALL!
2016 proved to be a busy year for Adam as he toured worldwide both as a solo artist and with Queen. Add to that appearing on X-factor Australia as a judge, on TV as Eddie in a RHPS homage, other performances on TV and also releasing several singles with various artists. We are hoping that 2017 will not be too quiet a year. No new music or concerts have been confirmed so far although hints have been dropped. Let’s cross our collective fingers that Adam has many surprises in store for us which will keep our musical blood flowing and the blog going.

Re: Adam’s involvement in Bowie celebrations, luval, it would be amazing if Adam was to sing one of Bowie’s songs. I would at least like to see Adam featured in a visual collage/ backdrop to a speech about Bowie’s enormous influence on music, gender role-playing, LGBT issues – how he paved the way for today’s artists, etc.
The big problem for a Bowie tribute is where to stop. His career extended so far beyond music. It includes film, theatre, visual arts and literature. People who worked with him in those fields will be part of the mix (plus, the majority of participants will be from Bowie’s generation, not Adam’s).

After working his head off for a year, Adam deserves a total break and a chance to be light-heartedly silly but, for me, the best part of the last week or so has been the glimpse we have had into the happy life and the beautiful house he has built through sheer hard work, collaboration and dedication to his craft. Not all those duck lips.
A. I want that Japanese boxed set.
B. I want it autographed.
New Year’s Resolution.
RE: La La Land – TIFF gave it the People’s Choice award back in September and the winner of that award gets a lot of hype because it often leads to Oscars. The thing is: Ryan Gosling is Canadian. The vote may have tilted little too much for the “hometown boy”. Based on comments here and by other friends, I’m going to wait until it goes to PPV or whatever they call it now.

I love the articles throwing Adam into the same category as SS, Troye Sivan, Ocean (who has never once said he’s gay since that first time just as his album came out) – guys who came around 5 or 6 years after A and the constant hounding and hate he endured. Would GM have continued his very profitable charade if he could have?
Adam’s latest snapchats to me reveal a truth, about movie roles, about a veiled reference about not being able to get what you want. I don’t know what he wanted and maybe didn’t get, but it’s still sad.
We just saw LaLa Land as did he, a type of movie that easily could have some place for someone like him.
Thankful for the great success and fortune he’s had, still it must be frustrating to be denied some things. I hope the country doesn’t take any huge backward steps.

Agree with your post at 3:21, riskylady. I’m trying to keep it together this 2017 but it must be very frustrating at times for him. I really do think he might have wanted movie parts & was unable to get them. Maybe with his accumulating money he can find projects to produce & star in his own movies!
