Drove to work with Elvis Duran and they just talked about Adam and played the jingle.
That pic of Laverne and Tim Curry reveals his illness. He is post stroke and in a custom wheelchair. His hand is contracted. His voice and speech are obviously intact or he wouldn’t be the narrator.

glambotgram…most likely the interest in Adam’s commercial is just in the bubble…of any Adam blog.
I’ve been showing the commercial to various people & one of them said to me “ok, so he sold out”. I explained to him that this is not the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or whatever decade you want to pick. Entertainers these days have to do anything and everything to make money because albums don’t sell unless you’re Adele. I’ll bet many of these older rockers would do anything to make a buck & would love their music or voices in commercials. I heard that the guys from the group Europe..The Final Countdown in that insurance commercial made a tidy sum.
As far as other actors or entertainers they all do it in China & Europe…George Clooney, Sean Penn I think…many A-listers. They just don’t get the publicity. Just a one liner on Access Hollywood. They probably don’t have blogs devoted to them either. Or do they?

Very excited to report that I have a Meet & Greet VIP package for Las Vegas (WOOOT!) and decent floor tickets for both LA shows! Many thanks to my hero Reese for helping me with ticket buying last week.
But OMFG – Ticket stress!! I hate it!!! Ticketbastard can be soooo infuriating! I had great seats for LA #2 this morning, then submitted my payment info and poof – nothing happened. After wasting time finally confirming that no purchase had actually been made, I went back in and of course didn’t get nearly as good seats. Apparently the same thing happened to Reese last week, too. And now in retrospect I can see that if I had used the map option (rather than “find tickets for me”), I could have been more selective in my seat choices, but I didn’t see that choice until after I had already purchased the second time. And I can see better seats now available on the map. Aaargh this ticket buying stress drives me crazy!
Anywaaaaaay, stress aside (breathe in, breathe out, let the stress go), I’m thrilled that my daughter and I are going to 3 shows 3 nights in a row, getting a meet & greet and close up GA in Vegas, and decent center floor seats with Reese and ladybug for both shows in LA.
Glitterpati – congrats on your M&G! I think I saw that several others here, including mils, mmm222, and adamized also got M&Gs for their shows! Wooohooo! Congrats to you all!

Yes George Clooney and Jack black are always on our TV in those coffee commercials…Lots of actors in ads…Queen songs in lots of adds….
And sometimes having your music on an ad helps, i can think of 2 christmas ads that had songs my daughter, she shazaamed them, and downloaded them onto spotify…maybe if people like this jingle, they will look it up, and search other Adam music out.

I am in the Mezzanine for the first show. Row A. I think the mezzanine are good seats too. I called the Orpheum and was told the Mezzanine extends half way over the orchestra. I always take my birding binoculars just in case.
