There were so many reviews of the New Year’s Eve concert that she read, both in print and online in the UK, and not one of those reviews used the word “gay” in reference to Adam.
Far cry from the U.S. press and blogs that, not always but most of the time, feel it’s necessary, I guess necessary, to preference the name Adam Lambert with “openly gay”.

Hi ALL!! I’m back after spending time with my family. The New Year has started off so wonderfully for all of us with the NYE concert and I’m so excited and overjoyed at the response that Adam is getting although I really can’t say I’m surprised – he truly is one in a billion – as a singer and as a person!
I spent NYE going to several performances as part of a “First Night” celebration. A soloist with an orchestra performed “They Call the Wind Maria” – I had never heard that song live and it has special meaning to me. He had a beautiful, powerful voice and I really enjoyed it. Was surprised when Ryan Seacrest was showing celebrations around the world that he didn’t mention QAL when he talked about London!
Sweet “Holy, Holy, Holy” Dreams, ALL!! Hope he does find somebody to love again this year! Of course, he does have ALL of us!!

Just yesterday, when I was 29, I could do this song with all the hard edge conviction and drive that’s needed to be able to pull it off.
Now that I’m 29+ though someone, somewhere along the way, pulled the plug on me. Beyond my reach.

RE: Turin pic – photos of Adam have a way of turning up a day late – maybe he flew back to London in the late evening or early morning. Or maybe the rehearsals today are all about the band. Remember, prior to the GN tour Monty had some strictly band rehearsals.

Honestly, I think I’d faint if I ever saw one of those…
I remember when Idol was on tour in my town, I left work and drove to the arena they were playing here, lulz, about 4 whole downtown blocks, and just stared at the trucks. Knowing they were in my town, that Adam was in my town, just gave a me a huge thrill. I even saw them move from the hotel across the street to the arena parking area, near the loading docks. They stayed at the Hilton.
Gawd, I’m such a juvenile.

I want to say to some of these people who complain about why bother to go if the seats are bad…that Adam’s voice and the band soars to the farthest reaches of the arena and you will hear so many songs you’d never thought would ever be sung again.

Haven’t seen this posted so here’s a translation of that Polish magazine QAL interview. Remember I didn’t care for the Classic Rock guy’s theory that being gay like Freddie was the reason Adam clicked so well with Queen? Well, in the section called MAN OR WOMAN, Adam refutes that and says it was MUSIC that made them click. Wish it had been said in an English-language mag. Although, have to be diplomatic because Classic Rock has featured them so much, I guess.
