Happy New Year to everyone at ALL. Wasn’t last night’s concert AMAZING? We had a little trouble connecting to BBC One here in Toronto but, thanks to P and Sleepwalker1877 we missed only DSMN and STL.
I’ve been on twitter this morning checking out the massive social media reaction to our boy and it is heartening. Can’t believe he was googled over 200,000 times and he trended right to the top in the UK.
It’s amazing how many people didn’t know who he was and how quickly he won people over (it took only one song!!!)
The clueless people are the funniest (and the most exciting.) Love the calm, cool, collected Queen fans – understated but positive. Of course the Queenonline people think it was awful but what else is new?
Hands down the funniest new fan/tweeter out there at the moment is a parody account of Rupert Graves (HK Fan knows who he is. We talked about him on this blog about a month ago – sexiest silver fox poll…)
Anyway, the tweeter is gay and has fallen head-over- heels in love with Adam. I didn’t see his account last night but today he is working his way through Adam’s photos and the Adommy videos and he’s a riot.

This was a kick for me. It was the cherry on top of a New Year’s Eve cake.
On Facebook, I’m a member of The Judy Garland Experience (T.J.G.E.) fan club. There are nearly 5,000 members! Last November, we were notified that a first-time, special New Year’s Eve video was going to be put together to be called “T.J.G.E. Follies of 2015”. The membership was asked to submit videos or audio clips of ourselves singing one of Judy’s songs. So, I sent them an old video that I did of the song “Smile”. Within a couple of weeks, TPTB said they were swamped with submissions … and what a good time they were having going through them. I’ll bet. I’m sure they got way more than they bargained for.
I came home from TLKC’s wonderful New Year’s Eve party and forgot all about this video on Facebook. Instead, I came directly here because I couldn’t wait to read the comments about the concert. But, later on, I did remember and went over to Facebook.
I knew, knew they wouldn’t use mine but … guess what? They only used 11 clips and whose name do I see listed during the opening credits? Couldn’t believe it! A very pleasant surprise.
It runs for 28 minutes but I edited it down to 2:40 to show the opening (very professionally done), my little introduction and just a snippet of the song.
It’s kinda cute and, because it made an already wonderful evening just perfect for me … I thought I’d share it:

My thought on “the look”. It’s the anti-gorgeous look. 180 degrees opposite. Maybe he’s sick of people talking about how beautiful he is…sometimes overlooking the music…so he’s covering it all up. But we know what’s underneath.

So my bro is home from China for a few weeks. He is a major Queen and Freddie die-hard. He seems to have kinda softened his stance on Adam. We’ll see.
He’s a huge music buff, and movie and “good TV” fanatic. I respect his opinions, but sometimes he’s into new and indie stuff that makes my ears bleed a bit. But, as a Queen fan, he’s pretty ardent.
I plan to show him the NYE and maybe Toronto 2 from Mark Bowles. I’ll let you guys know his verdict.
His major argument against Adam is that he’s too much of a singer and not hard edged enough. I’m hoping that when he hears some of Toronto 2, and how deep they went into the early cuts, that he just might have a different perspective.
The KQ couch might be a tad much for him though. TeeHee. It nearly did me in.
