   Wow, finally caught up on all the threads!

   Those of you in the cold and snow, try to keep warm!

   I like Sudoku, and love the logic puzzles too AL.

   There must be an important reason for Adam to be in NY to cancel out on an event honoring a friend that he had committed to. Very much out of Adam’s character to just blow it off, IMO.

   I think the event Adam had previously cancelled because of being sick was in Sweden while he was on that European Trespassing showcase tour. He made the showcase but cancelled out on a TV appearance. Will go research for more accurate info.

    Anyway, still have company, she is taking a shower and leaving around 6 am…Good luck with that…LOL…Anyway, thought I would check in and apologize in advance if I cover something already addressed.

    I don’t think Adam went back to LA. Those tweets were between 2 and 3 am last night. I am hoping that he is in NYC and may just be there for a label announcement. Glass half full! It has to be something important. JFK was closed this morning because a plane skidded off the runway. LaGuardia was open but flight were VERY delayed.

    nkd is right – the previous performance Adam had to cancel was when he was too sick to perform on a Swedish TV program during the Trespassing showcase tour. He said he was too feverish and dizzy to stand up.

    I agree that there is an important reason why he had to cancel tonight. I’m guessing that he is still in NYC, or he wouldn’t have had to cancel. Ty is a good friend, after all, and many of his close friends will be there.

    We know he was in NYC last night, from the tweets. The time to travel west from NYC to LA isn’t so bad. The elapsed time for traveling from JFK to LAX nonstop is 6.5 hours. But because you gain 3 hours going west, it’s only 3.5 hours on the clock. So you can leave NYC at noon and be in LA mid-afternoon local time. So he could have made it back in plenty of time just by leaving mid- to late-morning today. But this assumes, of course, that his flight was able to leave on time. And with the current weather situation, that’s a dicey assumption.

    I think there’s a reason why he needed to stay in NYC. Weather delay? Label meetings? Studio time? Who knows. But he doesn’t cancel appearances for frivolous “partied too hard” kinds of reasons. (Besides, even if he partied hard last night, all he would have to do is get himself on the plane (again, assuming flights are leaving) and then sleep it off!)

    Just wanted to thank you for posting all of those stats on the ALL site. Interesting! I found this one particularly interesting:

    Number of unique visitors (members and non-members (lurkers)):
    – 1547 (last 30 days, don’t have info for all 2013)

    So 1547 different people have visited this site in the last 30 days? Cool!

    ETA: Just looked back at ewyflyer’s stats from last year. Our “last 30 days unique visitors” for December 2013 (1547) is down about half from Dec 2012’s “unique visitors” of 3580. Interesting to see the effect of “between-eras time” being a little quieter. My sense, though, is that our number of posters has increased even though the number of lurkers may have decreased.

    Sadly, I don’t have any really good news about bumps. All I can say is that the Katy/Gaga Glee EP is still in the top 300 iTunes Pop (at 253, and still above the Billy Joel EP) which means at least a little movement still. And Lay Me Down the song did get a bump on the iTunes Dance chart of about 100 spots, from 290 up to 191, but that chart means even less than the Pop one. But the True album is still high up on the All Genres big overall album chart, at 23, on sale, and everyone gets LMD there so, whatever…..
    Trespassing has dropped down again out of sight.
    I think either business or weather has kept Adam in NY. We’ve never known him to cancel anything lightly, especially an event for a dear friend where a lot of his Zodiac pals will be too.
    Please! This is a guy who dragged himself hungover out of bed, onto a treadmill for an hour, and into the studio just to sing what he believed to be a demo for Nile. A guy who was kept at the understudy level in theater because he was so reliable, according to friends. Who interrupted Queen rehearsals in London to fly to San Francisco for an outdoor summerfest performance, then turned right around and flew back the next day. Who rushed up to San Francisco for another radio show last December, then rushed back to LA to continue readying for VH1 Divas. He’s dedicated.

They are talking about your boy (they all knew I went). I missed it but they said they were talking about gambling (lines, picks, etc) and then Thackerville and NYE and Adam played and he puts on a good show. I scrolled through twitter and did see a couple of tweets saying it happened. I assume it was Troy and Joe (didn’t even think to ask) but now that you said that it very well could have been local. Nothing big just funny and interesting. Troy, however, has been known to gamble there from the Dallas gossip.
