My tribe didn’t care for BTIKM, HK fan – when they heard him sing it for the first time, the reactions were disappointing – not, to tell the truth, that I was surprised. He rarely sang it in concert – did like the performance in Helsinki – but that was about it.

Have to disagree, aely – think picking a single is of the utmost importance – that’s what will sell the album.
That’s why he has to have a dynamite one this time.

Like I said it is my reasoning. I am not saying it isn’t important AT ALL but I just don’t think record labels would spend a ton of money to produce an album with the quality producers and just drop it because one single doesn’t connect. I really think if Adam’s album sold more they would have put more effort and money into pushing the next single to radio. It is all about money and how much they think they can get back. Did you watch Artifact? Very enlightening. If they thought they could recoup money they never would have let him go. They would have done what they are doing with Jordin Sparks and just put him on hold indefinitely.
I think it is fantastic he got away from them and needs to find a label and an A&R guy who really believes in him and will fight to get him on the radio. Like I said earlier, he is in a much better situation now, having done other things, Glee, Queen, Divas, Avicii etc. He is far enough away from Idol and is rebuilding his fan base beyond Idol and the fickle nature that those fans have shown to be and is making a true following. That is the important thing. Plus, like it has been said he has a lot of powerful names behind him now that he didn’t have established before TSP came out. I just will be utterly shocked if this era is not super successful.
