2013 will apparently begin with a rather quiet month for Adam, as he has only one performance currently scheduled. This will be a Hennessy Artistry event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 4. After that, Adam’s next scheduled event is the kickoff of his international “non-tour” in Seoul, South Korea on February 17. There is no official word as yet on whether some North American dates will eventually be added to the non-tour in the spring, but recent comments from Adam have not been very optimistic.

Above we see Adam performing at his final concert of 2012, at the Mulia Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Happy New Year and enjoy the chat!

Ecstatic beauty fascinated by Adam Lambert

The latest pictures of the press conference H-Artistry 2013 in Vietnam.

This afternoon (3/1), BTC program internationally renowned art night H-Artistry 2013 in Vietnam held a press conference at the Park Hyatt in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce the artists Adam Lambert , Aurea and NS Yoon-G will be performing the show on 4/1. Yeah 14h45, artists appeared before the warm welcome of a large Vietnamese media. All three artists Adam Lambert , Aurea and NS Yoon-G are friendly and open exchanges, answering the questions of the media. In particular, many people ecstatic beauty and attractive eyes of Adam Lambert since he appeared.

This year, the H-Artistry 2013 will be held on 04/01/2013 at NTD Nguyen Du, Ho Chi Minh City with artists representing different music styles and blend and shine on stage: Glam Rock singer Adam Lambert from American Soul singer Aurea came from Portugal, and pop singer NS Yoong from Korea.

  9. AL says:

Morning Peeps and Happy 2013! May this year be a great one for all of us with lots of new beginnings and fun times ahead. Where to begin????

    1. Mils, congrats on your new job AND for spending your time over the past months renewing yourself. You must feel so proud. I for one was in awe of your continual upbeat approach to getting fit, looking for work, and sending your “birds” out of the nest. I wish you great success.

    2. cwm not sure there is much for me to add to the well wishes and hopes for lots of healing ahead for your loved ones. YOU GO GIRL!!!! Hope the job provides you with lots of positive momentum to balance out the extra work.

    3. Ron thank you so much for the links above. The voices AND the acting were so much more moving than the movie version even while standing in a kitchen or on stage with no set. I think Adam is being treated rather gently in regard to his tweets and that at the end of the day it is a positive sign that so many news outlets feel it is something worth sharing. I enjoyed the movie and was blown away by Anne Hathaway. As long as you don’t compare it to the musical it is a good piece of work. I can see why someone who has grown up on the musical and has a sensitive ear would have a difficult time getting beyond the less than stellar quality of the singing. I avoid going to a movie adaptation of a book and/or musical that I love unless I am told that it is worth it by a trusted source.

Don’t you just love the adoration Adam is getting in Vietnam? I love all the young fans. I also love that Adam gets to share his first (IMO) true crazy ass mob greeting with Sauli. I am so happy for him. What could be better than having your love by your side as you yet again realize there are passionate glamberts everywhere.

Luval, please count me in on any lottery buying plan. Maybe we can start a paypal account? I think there is an annual lottery buying plan you can purchase. Should I look into it???????????? Are we serious????????????

Hugs to all. Missed my fix while away for 10 days with a non-Adam friend. It was a bit hard to find time to spend time on my iphone looking for news, etc.

  20. HK fan says:

lol at his answer to the crossing the street question….the streets of HCMC are a real eye opener, I have never seen so many motorbikes in my life, literally hundreds on the road at any one time, trick is to just put your head down and go, don’t hesitate, let the bikes avoid you, rather than you avoid them!!!

  21. HK fan says:

lots of good photos in this article, need it translated, apparently there’s something about him being naked all the time at home….

  22. TLKC says:

Congrats HK Fan! Looking forward to your recap already. NVM loveroftalent, some of the best people have been blocked by “over there.”

Thanks Ron for the link to the 4 Jeans. That is the best answer to people who insist the Les Mis movie is okay. Okay is not good enough. Hope Adam leaves Twitter be now. The press has pretty much acknowledged that his opinion on vocals matters on some level, which is compliment. Please let “next gate” be “no gate”.

  23. TLKC says:

So sorry about your doggie nkd. I knew he wasn’t well and that you were up in the night with him a lot. It’s the worst thing in life, saying a long goodbye to a family member. Hoping that 2013 is a much better year for you.

  24. LadyNorth says:

Congrats for tix HK fan Smile

I am trying to keep up with Vietnam info… I want to put this LesMiz gate behind, too many hard emotions to realize how many want to hate Adam Frown

I tried a translator for the article HK fan was talking about. This was the naked part… I didn’t know that Grin

    – At home, you have to dress up fancy like this?
    – No! I much simpler. Paparazzi able to take pictures, I do not feel there is nothing to be embarrassed. Most of the time at home, I do not wear anything, I like the feeling of being naked. If someone broke into the moment, “delicate”, the first thing I do is pick up the phone and call the police. Surely they will see my bare ass and it makes me a bit awkward a little bit.

  26. TLKC says:

AL, you may have gotten me re-hooked on SYTYCD. Stopped watching the season that Alex Wong got hurt. He was amazing, too.

I don’t think Johnny is a real dancer, either. His lack of ability is reflecting unfairly on Terrence as well. Perhaps Adam is being a loyal friend here and helping Johnny out, with Terrence’s blessing and support. Good guys.

@TLKCIt just sucks that right now it is free for all of all the haters. They are downright mean…

  29. rs says:

HK Fan YAY! Congrats on getting the tickets so painlessly. Are they good seats or GA?

ron I loved that video you sent of “Bring him Home”. It is my favorite song from Les Miz. I actually tweeted it to Adam, telling him that I love his critiques, good or bad, and that this is the way Les Miz should be sung. And I never tweet! or almost never. I think I have tweeted 10 times since I opened my account, and always to friends from here. lol. I am sure he won’t see it. He is too busy, but I just wanted to send it to him and show my support.

And lastly, I loved Chehon on SYTYCD. He was absolutely my all time favorite (excepting Sasha, for obvious reasons). What is interesting is that at the end of the show he said that he doesn’t want to join another ballet troup, but rather to do more commercial, modern dance. The show opened his eyes to so many new possibilities. His basis in ballet will serve him well whatever he does.

  30. Calgary says:

AL I have to thank you for the links to Kurt Browning with two great singers. I am just as crazy about skating, and KB in particular as I am about Adam! Also love Colm Wilkinson.

  31. LadyNorth says:

I just soothed my nerves by listening to some Les Miz vids you’ve posted. Beautiful! I think I have seen a movie (no singing) but not a musical. I should definitely change that when possible! Songs were so beautiful. If I go to a musical or opera, a really good song literally gives me goose pumps. That’s what I want Smile

After reading comments on some news sites re gate, I think there was 3 categories: Those who agreed singing wasn’t good enough, those who loved the movie and hated to see it criticized and those, whose main point was that Adam is non-successful, non-talented bitter person who just wants to attract attention. If we forget that last group, the others made me think maybe we are dealing with the same phenomena I have thought about in music industry: for great masses singing is no longer the main issue. There will always be people who value great singing, but if the majority is pleased with other emotional/entertaining factors and “nearly ok” singing, is that where musical entertainment is going Frown I hope not. But I still am surprised what a world wide sensation this has become. Adam was even asked about it in the Hennessy press conference in Vietnam! He refused to comment…

Putting it behind now. Some positive news – Adam was very good in the press conference, clever answers, even though the translated questions were long as a novel! Aurea seemed to have some difficulties to follow. And I loved the way Adam talked about Sauli in that “naked” interview, he spoke beautifully how supportive Sauli is and that he (Adam) is very happy now.

Here’s a few new funny Adam photoshops:

    LadyNorth

even though the translated questions were long as a novel!

I had to laugh – the translated answers were longer than his, kind of wondered if Vietnamese is that convoluted or if she was embellishing things! Especially after a lifetime of watching foreign movie subtitles where the character speaks for ages and you get a five-word subtitle!

  33. LadyNorth says:

Calgary, that’s true the translation went on and on. I always skipped then and it was still going… The press thing seemed pretty formal, especially at the beginning! All those “important” men talking. But what I have seen in twitter, Vietnam press has been nothing but Adam, they loved him tweeted a fan.

The interesting press question: “You are known for your stage presence that is extravaganza, are you going to tone it down for Asian (standards or something)”. Adam’s straight answer: No Smile

  34. turquoisewaters says:

nkd: I am very sorry about your dog. Dogs can be such great friends. You must miss him a lot.
    HKFan: Congrats to your ticket!!
loveroftalent: I don’t think this Les Mis thing is such a big deal at all. Of course all the regular Adam haters are out in force right now on that blog. But outside the idol bubble, much of the perception is that Adam was actually correct on substance albeit not very PC.

  35. ultimathule says:

Adam not PC – what a surprise, huh, turquoisewaters?

  36. turquoisewaters says:

ultimathule: As he would say “It’s more fun that way.” or “I value spontaneity” Although he is causing some of his 29-year-old fans premature grey hair. He is probably stunned himself that so much fuzz was made out of those tweets.

  37. luval says:

Aely…yes, the sway back. Saw your late post. I couldn’t for the life of me think of the name for it. It’s not sexy, it looks very awkward and plain & simple just doesn’t work. Awful.

If it was a real tour there would be a choreographer (Terrence?) who would fix that. That’s why I think Adam doesn’t really care what it looks like but lets them do what they want. The one song Johnny is fine in is Trespassing which has sort of a military beat to it. He’s forced to stand up straight and almost march.

Adamized…I ain’t kidding! If you want to check out the details about the lottery let me know. Have you ever wheeled numbers?

  38. AL says:

AL, you may have gotten me re-hooked on SYTYCD.

TLKC, you have to credit Aely for starting that discussion and including videos for Chehon. I just corrected the links so those not on mobile devices could see them (and added my comments too, of course. Wink

  39. adamized says:

hi luval, not sure what you mean by wheeled numbers. If you would rather get this conversation out of the blog you can email me further details/instructions. Grin

  40. luval says:

  42. riskylady says:

Ron, thank you so much for the video of the four valjeans!!! Such glorious voices, and so emotional. Yes, they CAN act and convey emotion with their voices as well. I tweeted it saying that perhaps this was what Adam was longing for.
Have to say, Hubby has been veeeerrrry pissed off at Adam’s treatment by the commenters, he’s been reading them LOL.
But, just now, THIS from the NY Times theater critic, Christopher Isherwood! (link http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/03/theater-talkback-les-miserables-stage-to-screen/)

Yet when it comes to the lead male roles, the stalwart hero,
Valjean, and the dogged villain, Javert, I found myself often yearning for
earplugs. Although he fronts a rock band in his spare time, Mr. Crowe huskily
declaims his way through his songs, never making anything resembling an
    appealing sound…

That wasn’t particularly surprising; the unhappy revelation
of the movie was the inadequacy of Mr. Jackman’s singing. He, after all, has
established himself as a most unusual combo platter: an action-movie hero who
is also an established musical theater star. But hearing him sing Valjean made
me wonder if his radiant stage charisma had not helped Broadway audiences (and we critics too) overlook the modest nature of his vocal resources. His singing in “Les Misérables” was sorely lacking in suppleness, sonority and range. For all the talk of live singing, Mr. Jackman’s sounded to me as if he’d actually been AutoTuned by someone who fell asleep at the machine, resulting in a thin, nasal and unpleasantly metallic sound that quickly grew grating.

  43. nkd says:

LA Times picked up on Adam’s latest Les Mis tweets.
    http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/posts/la-et-ms-adam-lambert-les-miz-comments-20130103,0,722827.story

Interesting that several big online outlets have picked up the Vietnam story, maybe because the twitter rant story went viral. Adam is newsworthy!

  44. Calgary says:

    nkd

    Adam is newsworthy!

Yes, and did you notice that most of the questions at the VietNam were directed at Adam?

riskylady Thanks for posting that Isherwood review. I feel the same way about Anne Hathaway’s voice – it’s pretty light and thin; however she does imbue the song with wonderful emotion.

  45. LadyNorth says:

Riskylady, I would say that is tough critic! And poor Adam gets all the shit Frown I made a mistake to read comments on Daily Mail site earlier and at that moment it wasn’t nice to read it.

In the evening I have amused myself with google translates Grin Greetings from Vietnam! (this article is about Adam&Sauli, translation was partly hilarious):

    http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=vi&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=fi&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yan.vn%2Fcan-mat-ban-trai-cua-adam-lambert-tai-san-bay-2929.html

Despite the modest height (1.72 m) but Sauli is football.

Adam used Sauli Koskinen in a bar in Finland in 11/2010.

But the couple also arguing, even “upper leg, lower arm” with each other in front of a gay bar in Finland before Christmas last year. But then they heal quickly and openly fondling each other in public.

Adam has balls of steel,he says what everyone else only thinks ILHSFM !!

Ha ha He has a point. Go figure. I never thought I’d find myself agreeing with Adam Lambert.

After seeing the film, I must concur with Mr. Lambert. Even though Les Miz has been turned into a film, it is still, indeed, a musical film. And some of the vocals, most notably – Crowe’s, were not up to snuff.

  50. Calgary says:

    LadyNorth that translation is hilarious!
