2013 will apparently begin with a rather quiet month for Adam, as he has only one performance currently scheduled. This will be a Hennessy Artistry event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 4. After that, Adam’s next scheduled event is the kickoff of his international “non-tour” in Seoul, South Korea on February 17. There is no official word as yet on whether some North American dates will eventually be added to the non-tour in the spring, but recent comments from Adam have not been very optimistic.

Above we see Adam performing at his final concert of 2012, at the Mulia Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Happy New Year and enjoy the chat!

    Awww thanks Kradamour.

And thanks nkd for posting Sauli’s blog. It’s neat to see both Adam and Sauli excited about things to come in 2013. So, possibly a new hairstyle for Sauli, eh? Would this prompt Adam to make a hairstyle change too?

  2. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

mils, I enjoyed your “Beth” post so much. kradamour, since you mentioned this was the first time you had seen this performance, wanted to point out my very favorite part of this favorite performance – the little lift of his eyebrow at the end when he sings “cause me and the boys will be playin’ all night”. Wink

  3. TLKC says:

Thanks so much for the sparkly “Beth” video. I saved the whole Kiss performance video in 2009 but it was a bit blurry. The resolution here is much better. It almost feels 3D at one point.

This video was hard to find. It was routinely pulled off YouTube. Perhaps Kiss was very proactive in protecting their performance rights? Whatever the reason, it was hard to get. I always loved the sparkling part.

Check out Adam’s mother wearing fingerless gloves and clapping.

  4. TLKC says:

January 17th – exactly one month until the first concert of Adam’s international Trespassing Tour. Not buying the “Non-Tour” monicker, given the yellow and black-themed promo posters. Adam will probably leave several days before that. The travel time and time zones makes the trip a 2 day proposition.

    It’s coming!

  5. luval says:

That Beth video was not “sparkled” to begin with. A genius figured out how to do that. And yes, it was taken off YouTube, put back on, taken off several times. Hope it stays for a long time. It’s my go-to video when I need a favorite fix.

  6. Kradamour says:

hehe, Texas, I noticed that and lol’d!
    So arch…
    Wink

    ETA: wow, luval. Genius, indeed.

  7. rs says:

I have always loved that sparkly Beth video and Beth has always been one of my favorites. I always get so frustrated that it is so short. I love this “voice” the best. So pure and clear, goes straight to the heart. Heart

Thanks for posting it. Since Trespassing and Queen, I haven’t listened to my old favorites in ages

I think all of our computers here at ALL are probably infected with the same virus. Wink Oh and read the comments under the video. They’re hilarious, too.

Also, what is one of the first things you notice when you look at this picture? LMAO!

Thanks mils for that sparkling video, loved it Smile I had not seen it before! So the sparkling has been added later??

Well AI started there. Thanks for all the AI related articles posted, especially the one aely posted was wonderful. Here it starts next week. I think I will take a short look at the judges and then maybe later, TOP-12 or something.

I enjoyed reading your memories of season 8. I can only imagine all the coffee table talk it caused week after week Grin Here it’s shown on the channel mostly watched by younger people, and of course no local media around it, no stories behind the contestants. But I was really looking forward to it every week on season 8! Adam was so surprising, great and Paula was very entertaining re Adam too Smile.

My reason to watch the show (and all the music reality shows) is not the judges or contestants, it’s been the music. I think it’s a good way to introduce yourself to the musical classics – that’s what they usually sing, older music or big hits. I’ve found that a better way than listening to the radio. That’s probably why I didn’t search for Adam right after the season, even though I loved the songs he sang and the way he sang. I was too used to the idea there’s no good music these days Shock

I’ve been listening to that energy UK on the background again, while doing stuff with lap top. Part of it I just can’t tolerate, have to put mute on, but there are some new songs that I like (also other than Adam Smile ), have to listen to them in spotify or youtube… They didn’t play Runnin but TP, PTL, NCOE, WWFM and twice OOL! Talking about radio, I was having a massage today and they had the number one Finnish hit radio station on (not very relaxing, but it was sport massage school not classical Grin ). They played Trespassing Big Smile

Wow, now Shady on energy UK Big Smile

Also, what is one of the first things you notice when you look at this picture? LMAO!

LOL cwm, the hands Laugh Thanks for your other postings, have to catch them.

  12. aely says:

I know this is late but catching up and wanted to say thank you to cwm for posting a real translation of that article. When I translated it with google it was too funny not to post.

  13. cwm says:

LadyNorth – once you notice the hands, you can’t un-notice them! Razz

WOW! Since yesterday, Trespassing jumped 69 spots on the iTunes Pop 200, from 200 where it had dropped up to 131. Maybe all the mentions of Adam in the Idol recap articles and the Glaad nom articles. Yay, anyway!
Adam has so many firsts for an Idol alumni, plus I love that his run and his talent are almost universally recognized as amazing.
First on the cover of EW before the show was even over.
First on the cover of RS before album out.
First to have a headlining world tour coming right off the show (and about 95% sold out).
First on VH1 Unplugged when they revived the show.
    Also their first Posted artist.
First and ONLY Idol invited to front an iconic rock band.
First and only Western artist to perform on finale of The Voice China.
First openly gay artist to have #1 debut album on Billboard.
First gay artist interviewed on Chinese official TV.
He may be the first gay artist to top the Sexiest Man in Music vote on Billboard 3 years in a row!!!! (or even one year lol)
His success in social media is amazing – two years voted Must Follow on Twitter, one being a write-in nomination!
I’m sure there are others – can’t think of all of them now, but surely you guys can.

I love reading all your first Adam disease symptoms…some AI some later. For me it was the spin and leap in the air after the amazing audition at AI. I hadn’t had anyone to follow since Elvis and boy! was I ready. As a young child I loved Mario Lanza, then Elvis now Adam. They all have some similarites, I think. Dark, handsome, slightly larger-than-life and flamboyant!I grew up in a very musical home so it was considered normal to focus on any type of music.
In New Zealand we got AI on free to air TV.(The new season starts tonight.) I had enjoyed it all (except Fantasia) and quite liked Taylor Hicks and David Cook. I thought, on Adam’s year, there were many really good singers who would have probably won on any other year. Especially Matt Giraud and Danny Gokey. I still love Matt’s “Georgia on my Mind”. Brilliant. I was still in the days of recording on tape then and was lucky(or psychic) enough to end up taping the whole season. When I owned a DVR with hard drive I transferred all the Adam bits to disc.As I wore out discs I could easily make a new one!!
I have been contaminated ever since.

Question: How do you add a photo to your name when posting?

  20. aely says:

kiwi Go to the gravatar link on the side of this page. It will walk you through how to add a pic.

  21. ultimathule says:

Hey, Kiwi – another Mario Lanza fan here. There’s a fan club in New York – get its publication – they meet for lunch once a year. Was mad for him – just like Adam – saw all his movies – many times – all his music. Died young – under mysterious circumstances. Placido Domingo hosted a program on him many years ago – Domingo admired Lanza so much. He had one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard.

Happy to find a kindred spirit!

  22. Kiwi says:

Thanks aely. I tried but am told that name is taken…could be me (I hope) but I’ll look at it later.

  23. Kiwi says:

Here’s a slightly sad, but also funny story. My Mum’s favourite song was Mario Lanza singing “Donkey Serenade”.A very fast tempo for those who don’t know it.When she passed the celebrant asked me for her favourite music. I told her but said “You can’t use that!” “Why not”.Totally inappropriate but we were always a slightly odd family. There was a gasp when the music started, then the celebrant told the story and everyone burst out laughing. It was a strangely magical moment for me.

  24. ultimathule says:

Kiwi – did you ever see “Heavenly Creatures” (Kate Winslet) – based on a N.Z murder – where the two young girls were mad for Mario Lanza?

  25. luval says:

Here’s the original non-sparkly Beth. Move up to about 01:09. Looks like it was taped off somebody’s television. I certainly love sparkly Beth better!!!

    Kelly O desires Adam’s company…

    Kelly Osbourne @MissKellyO
@adamlambert #rude not picking up my call! do you want to come do this fun work out class upstairs with me? they have hula-hoops…

So maybe there’s a workout room upstairs of the building?

    And twitter responded Grin

    illuxxia @illuxxia
    I’d buy the workout video Razz http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k502/illuxxia/gifs4/L9.gif … & http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k502/illuxxia/gifs2/sauli-dance.gif

Those gifs – Adam is so hot and Sauli so funny Smile

  28. Kiwi says:

Yes ultimathule, I saw ‘Heavenly Creatures’. I vaguely remember the murder at the time (I was 5 when it happened) but maybe it was the later stages of the case I remember.

  29. Kradamour says:

I was distracted by RL for a while and didn’t click on interview vids very much and then windows restarted my computer and I lost the links open in tabs (HATE when that happens!) so this was probably posted already but if it wasn’t it is worth watching gorgeous Adam move so comfortably and seem so complete and happy. I was almost able to forget the facial hair while I watched it!

  30. Kradamour says:

Yup…would totally buy the workout video…
    In Love Grin In Love

  31. Soccermom says:

Kiwi, I had to go listen to Donkey Serenade by Mario Lanza on youtube to hear what you were talking about. I could totally see Adam singing a song like that in a Broadway play, although he would probably need to do it in a slightly higher key…but he could hold the notes for a long time like Mario.

  32. nkd says:

He should make a workout video. Maybe that would motivate me, or maybe just leave me drooling! Drool

  33. nkd says:

Kiwi, try gravatar again, sign up with the same email you use for this site from the pull down menu on top. The user name here shouldn’t matter. I’m signed up on gravatar with my real first name not my username.
Disregard the sign in on the side of the gravatar site.
    It works for me.

  34. Kiwi says:

Let’s see if this works.I should have the mountain I see out my front window!

    LOL!
BTW, you sure have a beautiful view!

  39. ultimathule says:

Don’t hear this as an Adam song – but, who knows how he may have changed it up.

If it’s out there, want it.

  40. rs says:

Energy is still at it! Now they just announced a “double play” Two songs in a row by the same artist! Guess what? Trespassing and Shady! Chic

  41. rs says:

kiwi, your avi is gorgeous! One of these days I will get to NZ. It has always been the place I dreamt of going to when I wanted to get away from all the craziness here. (Long before LOTR made it famous)

  42. Kiwi says:

Yes, my view is gorgeous. I am 20 mins from Mount Taranaki (was called Egmont in my childhood) and 2 mins from the beach. Not too bad! I grew up on the opposite side of that mountain and needed to return after 40 years.Much of the movie “the Last Samurai” was filmed here,as it looks similar to Fuji. Geography lesson over. Back to Adam…..

  43. Kiwi says:

rs, you know there’s always a bed here. Although I am off the beaten track. Most LOTR fans head for the South Island and The Alps, or Matamata to visit the Shire. Oops, I said no more geography.

  44. rs says:

Thanks kiwi, maybe one of these days…..

    Now Underneath on Energy! YAY

  45. Oksana2000 says:

    Trespassing on Energy! Yay!
They play Adam every half an hour. Amazing.
Who remembers how high Cuckoo placed on iTunes after PLL performance? Pop and Overall?

  46. AL says:

Who remembers how high Cuckoo placed on iTunes after PLL performance? Pop and Overall?

Cuckoo went as high as #34 on Pop from what I can find in the previous threads here. Not sure what that was overall but when it was #38 on Pop, it was #144 overall.
    Album was #41 on Pop.

  47. Oksana2000 says:

AL, I’m trying to figure out what decent promo of Cuckoo would do to this song. #34 on Pop for one minute performance on a show that wasn’t even on a prime network.
I’m trying to compare trajectory of Cuckoo versus Gone, gone, gone on iTunes.
I still think that selections of singles by RCA was a big mistake.
GGG is #31 on Pop right now.
