2013 will apparently begin with a rather quiet month for Adam, as he has only one performance currently scheduled. This will be a Hennessy Artistry event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 4. After that, Adam’s next scheduled event is the kickoff of his international “non-tour” in Seoul, South Korea on February 17. There is no official word as yet on whether some North American dates will eventually be added to the non-tour in the spring, but recent comments from Adam have not been very optimistic.

Above we see Adam performing at his final concert of 2012, at the Mulia Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Happy New Year and enjoy the chat!

ew’s obnoxious love for this douche is so annoying.

    adamluv1000| 7 months ago

Didn’t you used to be an Adam Lambert fan?

    Josey9720| 7 months ago

Gemma is mad, awww… How could you not know that EW never liked him? Facts are facts. If you are not a douche, respect THE FACTS! Don’t act like a little school whiny child.

    Leah| 7 months ago

Are you new here? EW does not like Adam. It must have killed MJ to write this blurb on him.

    Carly| 28 minutes ago

No kidding. Between MJ’s hatred of Adam and EW’s hatred of Adam, I’m surprised they could swallow their venom long enough to write and post anything positive about him.

Shes being foolish by blocking you guys, maybe if you e-mail her and discuss it,she will let you back on. Otherwise there always is going under a new name on another computer Devil Right now it seems she needs all the hits she can get. I try to hold my tongue, but it still seems some people get by with a lot of crap. So I mostly read and post something if it feels right and try not to get defensive, because it seems we arent allowed to defend Adam aganist the haters over there Grin

mmm I did a smiley face…how did it become an angel???? Only half posts yesterday…methinks I have a Gremlin in here.

I hope Adam wins that GLAAD award, he deserves it, and not just for the music. What has Frank Ocean done apart from admit to one same sex relationship?

  8. luval says:

Well, American Idol starts in a few minutes. I’ll be watching as usual.

I wanted to post on Adam’s thread there too. I will not e-mail her. She should immediately open up the thread to anyone…start with a clean slate…then delete if she wants.

  9. HK fan says:

Love the blurb on Adam under the season 8 picture on that Detroit article. I haven’t seen all the seasons, started watching in season 5. But I would put season 8 1st, due to Adam obviously, but everything seemed better that year, I think Adam pushed the other contestants to be better too, and they had better guests, especially in the finale. I’d probably put season 7 2nd, and season 5 3rd.

  10. luval says:

A tiny Adam sighting on the AI intro right now. Can not stand that song “Home”.

  11. Oksana2000 says:

I started watching and I’m bored stiff already. Two hours of this crap? Thanks,no.
I’m going to do something crazy, like read a book??

  12. asifclueless says:

Thanks …aely for the Detroit article.

    #3. Season 8 (2009)

Two words: Adam Lambert. Lambert was the best contestant the show has ever seen, and whether he was hitting homers (his version of “Mad World,” his stunning “Tracks of My Tears”) or bombing badly (remember his psycho sexual take on Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire?”) you couldn’t take your eyes off the guy. Still, he somehow lost to Kris Allen in the finals, the biggest injustice in the show’s history.

    Season 8 should be #1.

I’ll see what Idol this season has to offer.
Adam has broken it. Invite him back to mend it.

  13. milwlovesadam says:

I’m recording it. I’ll zip thru it quickly later. I’m really only most interested in watching it when the top 12 are ready to go. Less ear damage that way.

  14. ultimathule says:

Just a coincidence, I guess, but, during the intro segment, when it showed Adam walking into his audition, the word “legend” was sung in the background music. If someone is taping this mess, would you let me know? Thanks.

Terrible panel – Keith is sweet and tries, but he’s too low-key between the two annoying women. What the panel needs is someone with a real, outgoing sense of humor – a guy who could dominate without seeming to do so.

I still like Idol better than the other shows. Randy is my favorite(?) so far. So much better without all the production. Real & raw.. Laugh

  25. Kradamour says:

Y’know, I think that Idol fills that need that used to be satisfied with the old variety shows. Something very nice about sittind and watching peeps perform for an hour.

I still don’t receive American TV, but we subscribe now to a streaming service that provides 17 channels of French TV via my internet connection. Every night there is at least one variety show – so pleasant, and it has given me the opportunity to finally finish that scarf I started to knit for my son last year.
    I miss Ed Sullivan.

miis, I needed that,I loved him singing that.I cant watch Idol yet either yet. I have a bad feeling about it this year but I’ve always watched so after the auditions I’ll try.I agree with that past Idol article, season 5 was the best but ADAM was the best contestant ever. Heart

  30. luval says:

Here is an 11 second video of the Adam sighting.

  31. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks guys, I remember watching that and hoping so hard that he would win. I remember seeing him come out for that, seeing some sparkles, and I swear, my heart just about exploded. I was absolutely overjoyed and thrilled by the sight of “Beth”, as I’ve never been before in the world of entertainment.

On so many levels. Of course, his performance, his vocal, the finale of Idol, then to see his ability to express all that glam, all that fearlessness, his courage, his statement of “here I am” , just all summed up in one outfit, a few sparkles around his eye, and those magnificent winged cages on his shoulders, and those sky high boots.

I swear, it took me a while to just breathe. It was overwhelming.

Was it like that for anyone else here?

  32. ultimathule says:

    Thanks, luval

  33. glambotgram says:

mils I was thrilled beyond belief every week when he performed. Every performance was unbelievable I remember just talking about it to people saying Can you believe Adam nailed it again?

But my “moment” was those stairs and that white suit and Feelin Good.

  34. luval says:

mils…I think I shed a tear when I heard Beth. Like it was the dawning of a new day. He made me want to listen to music again. Didn’t care for Kiss but watched the Queen finale vid over and over just to see Brian May peeking at Adam with a smile on his face….

    You are welcome, ulti.

  35. milwlovesadam says:

Yes, every week was a thrill, people talked about Adam everywhere. Just everywhere. He was a sensation. My two biggest moments were Feeling Good and Mad World. When he strutted down those stairs and sang that fabulous Feeling Good, I literally had my mouth hanging open, such stunned and amazed.

Oh, who am I kidding?? Every single week just got my adrenaline going like it was waking up from a long sleep. Adam’s performances, and the buzz they created, gave me an absolute charge of positive energy.

    Still does. Muwahhahaha!

But, Beth made me emotional. Especially the day after he sang Change. Change amazed me also in so many ways. I simply couldn’t believe it. I remember my sister called me right after he sang, and we were just screaming in the phone to each other our sheer admiration for him. It was just OMG OMG OMG!! Two breathless grown women.

  36. ultimathule says:

My life has never been the same – and all for the good.

  37. JOJOSIE says:

My favorite on Idol was “If I Can’t Have You”. I loved all his performances just a few more than others. I knew about Adam before he even appeared on the TV screen. I was on several Idol blogs and was looking for spoilers. I heard about a young man who was a theater kid and very good who auditioned in LA. I soon snooped around and found his name and went to U-Tube. I didn’t see all of his stuff there but enough to make me watch the auditions and Hollywood rounds to see him and if he would advance. Before the top 12 I think I’d seen every thing he ever did that was on film. Like Sauli I believe in love at first sight and maybe first song. I did look at a few spoilers this year but nothing seems to interest me. Who else would I buy everything they record or appear in, travel across the country and oceans to see perform, meet people on the Internet who I feel an immediate connection too. Adams talent and personality would be impossible to beat. Being an Adam fan would be hard to top.

  38. ultimathule says:

    So true, JOJOSIE.

  39. loveroftalent says:

Loved your post. I wasn’t watching idol until my sister called me and was gushing over the phone about Adam and saying you have to watch idol, there is a guy on there that is amazing and looks like Elvis…So I tuned in and was hooked. Black and White was the first episode I watched and he blew me away..Before he even opened his mouth, his walk to the front of the stage hooked me in…My mouth just dropped…Never missed an episode of Season 8 after that…

My sister that got me hooked to Adam is a major country fan, but there is noone like Adam to her..I feel the same just as all of you here do…

  40. Kradamour says:

OMG, mils, how have I never seen that Beth vid?????

The walk down memory lane is fun.

Adam’s audition interested me, but it was Satisfaction that really made me sit up and take notice. Then Black and White was next and I thought, “wow, this guy is pretty amazing.” But then came Ring of Fire. I was so blown away by Ring of Fire that Adam had me completely captivated and I never looked back. Each week my heart was in my throat at the beginning of Adam’s performances, crazy with anticipation over what he would serve up and irrationally nervous that he might make a mistake and be sent home. But each and every week he would totally nail his performance to the wall, my jaw would drop and I’d have trouble remembering to breathe, and I was increasingly in utter amazement at his incredible talent and charisma.

At some point in the season, maybe around the top 5 or so, I went online and found videos of Adam. The first two things I saw/heard were Come To Me Bend To Me and the red-pants Crazy from Art4Life. Oh. My. God. There could not have been two more different performances to represent the range of what Adam could do. I was mesmerized. I would stay up late watching those videos (and others) on repeat and reading all of the comments coming in. That was the beginning of Adam completely throwing off my sleep patterns and it continues to this day.

Just like mils, my heart exploded during the finale when Adam opened Beth standing on that railing, sparkling all over, singing like an angel, and then strutted onto that stage with KISS. It was the performance of We Are the Champions with Queen that really did me in, though. When Queen rose up out of that stage and I realized the enormity of what was about to happen for Adam, my hand involuntarily clapped over my mouth and my eyes filled with tears I was so happy for him and proud of him.

Ahhh sweet memories. And here it is almost 4 years later, and his performances still exhilarate and thrill me. Amazing.

I wonder how many peeps all over the world are re-living Adam’s Idol adventure tonight as the new season begins?
Part of me is so sad that I missed the experience that you describe, cwm. But the rest of me is very relieved. This 29 year old heart couldn’t have survived it!

I just watched all his performances again – with the judges – topped it off with Shady from the Vineyard to bring me up to the present.

He has few equals – maybe none, actually.

Reading everyone’s remembrances of their Adam Idol experience has brought back my own. Idol performances were on Tuesdays then, and every week, Tuesday evening couldn’t get here fast enough. So much anticipation and nervous jitters waiting for his performances and he always thrilled!
I can hardly believe that it’s been 4 years of anticipation and nervous jitters, and laughter and good times! What a lovely man we stan!

Thank you everyone for all of the articles and videos today.
