The vid with the well-spoken British? gal reviewing the TR album – absolutely agreed with her on NCOE – I really don’t like that song. Have heard Adam sing it a few times when it sounded great because of the vocals – but really just doesn’t do anything for me. Like BTIKM better, but, for the millionth time, who picked these two for initial releases – dumb.
But – then – some have said that, if Bruno sang it, the song, like JT’s piece of mediocrity, would go straight up the charts.
So annoying – all of it.

I just noticed that on the last page I reached a milestone in 1000 posts! I didn’t even notice it. I must have been so excited about hearing Adam on the radio that I didn’t see the post. (for some reason my smileys aren’t working, bit I was trying to LOL).

So…the Virginia legislature just confirmed a gay District Court judge in Richmond to a full term. This is a huge deal in the Old Dominion, peeps.
Judge Tracy Thorne-Bagland needed legislative confirmation, which he failed to get last May and was appointed by the Circuit Court judges, but that appointment would have expired if he was not confirmed now by the legislature. He will serve a 6 year term.
(This is the former Navy lieutenant who while still in uniform came out and criticized dontaskdonttell, so he was a very hot potato in Virginia for military reasons as well as orientation.)
This is more than a baby step.

Hi ALL – so much for my New Year’s Resolution to check in a least every other day so I stay in the loop! Hubby’s birthday this weekend so we did stuff he wanted to do. Oh well!
I was in a Timberland store of all places today, returning Christmas gifts with my son. NCOE came on and my son said “Hey, Mom” amd pointed upward. It is great hearing any AL song over the speakers but it meant more that my son recognized Adam’s voice.
When we drove home, the radio was playing “I Want to Break Free”. I honestly like Adam’s version better. His voice is more melodic than Freddie’s.
I know a while back, everyone was discussing what type of songs Adam should put on his third album. I listened to Trespassing and the Queen & Adam CD that mmm222 made for me (thanks, I love it!), then listened to our local Top 40 radio. It seemed like the radio was usually playing catchy songs that were different in some way and, most of the time, the voice was distinctive. I think Adele’s success is a least partially responsible for this shift. Pink’s new song, Try, is a good example,although the first time I heard it, I thought it was Kelly Clarkson. I think all of Adam’s fans can agree that whatever songs he chooses, the most important thing is to really hear his gorgeous voice. That is what I love and it comes through when he sings many of the Queen songs. Brian & Roger understand that when you have an extraordinary singer, you feature his voice and the music stays in the background while he’s singing.
