2013 will apparently begin with a rather quiet month for Adam, as he has only one performance currently scheduled. This will be a Hennessy Artistry event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 4. After that, Adam’s next scheduled event is the kickoff of his international “non-tour” in Seoul, South Korea on February 17. There is no official word as yet on whether some North American dates will eventually be added to the non-tour in the spring, but recent comments from Adam have not been very optimistic.

Above we see Adam performing at his final concert of 2012, at the Mulia Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Happy New Year and enjoy the chat!

    The interesting thing is that Bieber, as well as Adam Lambert, Jason Mraz and others, would almost certainly have been a 2013 Grammy nominee if the Academy hadn’t changed its rules last year.

    As it turns out, all five nominees for the Solo Pop award in 2013 are female. Not a single guy made the cut. If the Male Pop Performance award still existed, Bieber’s “Boyfriend” would have been an overwhelming favorite to earn a nomination, along with Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up” and Ne-Yo’s “Let Me Love You.” Other contenders would have included Ed Sheeran’s “The A Team,” Lambert’s “Never Close Our Eyes,” and Phillip Phillips’ “Home.”

    I am behind, but loved your fan stories Jojosie and cwm Smile And waiting for it to be continued! I know my guy has been asked a lot (by his male colleges and friends) how did Adam “worked” with Queen. And he has told truthfully he thinks it worked fine Smile

    mils that article about Monte was interesting. I have read about BFM “gate”, but don’t remember all the details. Were they demos or real recordings? But I liked the song “Avoid” in the article, I had not heard it before. Monte seemed to appreciate Adam’s voice but I sense some bitterness because A went to Idol and is succeeding with different kind of music… I find it a bit strange that Monte is so “rock”, dislikes all the electronics and anyway tours with Madonna who does pop.

    I like “Lord Dang”. And I agree that it’s completely normal to feel a bit down after a period of intense activity. Contemplative is a great word. I believe these periods are necessary for future creativity. Lord Dang will be alright. I so wish they would scoot over and let us all sit on the sofa and watch TV with them.

    Interesting points everybody about the Monte issue, again. The most salient points for me are that his friends and family still have a relationship with him, even if just on twitter, and that Monte glossed over GN in that interview.

    I still stand with Adam. Monte and his wife showed their true colors a long time ago.

    The lawsuit was settled a while ago, but, if those songs were ever really finished and put out, now that would be an incredible record.

    The twitter party was cute. The comment about rock music gets me hopeful for a rock album, maybe even with Queen. If Queen were to record again, having Adam would be simply awesome. The word “awesome” is over-used these days, but, I do mean it here.

    Adam as Finn? Too old? Corey Monteith is 33 or 34!!

    I’m just soooo hoping for something on TV. Glee. Smash. Cindy Lauper’s new show. Kathy Griffin’s talk show. Anderson Cooper’s daytime show. The New Normal with Nene?

    He got a mention in today’s People. Under Nikki Minaj, she was described as a combination of Fantasia and Adam Lambert. OMG. Yuck. But, his name was in print.

    And, that horrible review of the Les Miz gate, hmmmm. Looks like somebody got the attention of Mr Tom Hooper.

    ( Funny aside, the name of a life long weatherman here was Tom Hooper, he recently retired. )

    From reading the last couple of pages I deduced:
    a) It snowed in Jerusalem (thanks for gorgeous pics, rs!)
    b) I want to hear Adam sing “A Little Less Conversation” and Bowie’s new song (Bowie singing it: meh – I used to love his voice, but it has lost some of the distinctiveness)
    c) Adam is sad because he had a twitter party, OR Adam had a twitter party because he is sad. WHAT??? The man has been criscrossing the globe for two months, will be doing it again in 6 weeks, had to move in the middle, and we assume he is SAD? How about just resting between travels, and maybe doing some low-key things like looking over some new music submitted to him? Retooling the show a little? Planning a birthday party? Oh, and if he’s a year older, so are all those other thirty- and forty-somethings in the pop world.
    Maybe it’s just US who are sad because we don’t get an Adam fix 6 times a day.
    Maybe he knew we missed him, and he missed us, so he had a twitter party. I love that he did it when the stupid stupid People’s Choice was on. Just sayin’…….
    Again, all veggies thrown MUST be fresh and juice-able, please.

    I was just listening to Juneau’s interview of Lambertlust. She’s like NPR, kind of a slow talker, but, it’s sweet. Love his take on Fantasy Springs 2. I feel so lucky to have one of those room keys.

    Hi riskylady…Here comes a beet! I think I started the “sad” thing about his twitter party. Maybe one or 2 others thought the same. But as Adam has said…an opinion…we all have them. Can’t help what I think or thought or assumed.

    What you just said in your post ITA. Others have posted similar things and you are all correct I must say. Since I’m Debbie Downer most of the time I need a pep talk.

    Am still stinkin’ upset, though about the possibility (probability?) of no Trespassing tour and no dates other than listed. I will patiently wait for a surprise, though. Don’t those bums at RCA know we have money to throw away? Smile

    haha, mils. Listened to the Juneau interview too. She is a wonderful gal but I was falling asleep! Lamberlust kept the conversation going. The part where she asks him about Adam coming into the audience Fantasy Springs 2…I was there and he doesn’t remember this happening!huh? Wish she would have asked him for more thoughts on the non-tour, why he started livestreaming. I could hear her gulping her drink too! LOL…but it was sweet as you say.

    I simply will not give in to Debbie Downer tendencies. We tend to do that here in “slow” periods. Jeepers, we have been so spoiled this whole year. BB needs a rest. He has been one very very very busy guy. And that’s just his hair. Ba dum bum!

    So, he juicing, cleansing, and reflective. Playing in Sutan’s closet. Can you even imagine the stuff he didn’t show us? What a life.

    I’m still thinking that Diva’s and his Asian gigs are getting him a lot of attention. I’m sure his phone and Shoshana’s phone were jingling something fierce. Not to mention PR from Les Miz gate. He has not gone unnoticed. I’m hoping for some major announcement soon. Honestly. I think it will happen.

    I don’t think he will just slip under the radar and disappear for a year while he works on a new album.

    I think he’ll do singles. And release them one at a time, then put out an EP or album with them. I think that’s how he’ll survive, at least in the states. Timberlake is doing that, Katy Perry and Gaga both did that.

    I’m not counting him out for some role as mentor or something else on Idol. Maybe he could be the “song selector” or something like that for the contestants. “performance enhancer.”

    LOLOLOL, luval, I’ll take the beet! Beets are sweet! Now, if it had been a turnip or a bag of kale, well that’s another story.

    Forgot to mention, Adam got a nice bump from the rerun of PLL. Trespassing had just fallen out of the top Pop 200 on iTunes on the 7th, and on the 9th it was back up at #138, today still at #149. It has been in that 200 continuously except for maybe 4 days since the first run of PLL, don’t know what kind of sales that represents, but enough to fall within the top 200 albums overall for 2012 saleswise, at #188.     I thought his son’s tweets at the end of the article were a little optimistic and arrogant, about knocking Taylor Swift off the top of the charts. Hasn’t done so in the US at least, she has two songs in the top ten overall in iTunes and his single isn’t there, and her album is #5 while his is #10. Tweens rule, and not likely to go for 66-yr-old Bowie’s morose song.

    Well, since it is really quiet around here, and I am having a hard time getting into my work, here’s a little observation.
    I check Adam’s twitter followers frequently, and the past few days he has gained more than usual.I wonder if it will slow down over the next month and take off during his tour.
