2013 will apparently begin with a rather quiet month for Adam, as he has only one performance currently scheduled. This will be a Hennessy Artistry event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 4. After that, Adam’s next scheduled event is the kickoff of his international “non-tour” in Seoul, South Korea on February 17. There is no official word as yet on whether some North American dates will eventually be added to the non-tour in the spring, but recent comments from Adam have not been very optimistic.

Above we see Adam performing at his final concert of 2012, at the Mulia Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Happy New Year and enjoy the chat!

Thanks, mils, about Monte. Seemed to me he was trying to come off as “nice” about Adam, and I liked the part about emailing the music back and forth.
But, to be clear, I agree with those who mention that he skipped over 2 years of performing/touring with Adam, and clearly the interviewer didn’t know or didn’t bring up the painful circumstances of the breakup. I do understand as I said how some can still be OK with Monte. I’m with Adam though on this one.

  3. HK fan says:

Adam is in the middle of a twitter party for anyone thats still up.

  4. TLKC says:

Thanks risky lady for your intelligent thoughts on the matter of Monte.

I agree with you about being unable to personally forgive a friend who you feel has betrayed you. What impresses me is that, whatever personal pain he felt, Adam was grown-up about not laying down the law with his friends re: whether they had to take sides on the matter. To me it was sad that some of his fans weren’t able to do the same.

‘Nuff said. I hope this didn’t sound like a rant, my dear.

  5. HK fan says:

    so far

There won’t be a Trespassing video
    He’s on a cleanse
Sauli is both cute and hot…duh!
no style changes planned but he is impulsive….
doesn’t know of travel plans after dates already announced
was playing dress up in Rajas closet
    likes red liquorice
likes Rock Of Ages, auditioned for it once
    its cold for LA
    still feeling jetlagged
loves a book called The Velvet Rage
yes radio stations always ask the same questions but they mean well
auditioned for the role of Finn in glee, but was told he was too old
would like to visit Rio and Barcelona
he wouldn’t name his facial hair or any body part
would be fun to be on glee
is into Downton Abbey amongst others

  6. riskylady says:

Agree, TLKC. The fanwarring about it was embarrassing. Why can’t people just have their opinion, and let others do the same? Adam did.

OMG, some of the questions on Twitter are just mortifying and repetitive. How does he deal with it? He really does have the patience of Job….

  7. TLKC says:

Thanks, HK fan, I checked it out but it was over. Here’s a link to the whole Q&A. I can’t believe that Downton Abbey is one of his favourite shows!!

    http://adamholic.com/blog/2013/01/10/twitter-party-jan-9-2013/

    Very curious about Velvet Rage.

  8. TLKC says:

Thanks for your kind response risky lady. You said what I meant and with much fewer words.

The twitter party was a hoot. One of the tweeters asked him if he gets tired of DJ’s asking him the same questions and, there we are, doing the same. He IS a very patient person.

His answers about Sauli were cute. They were playing in Sutan’s closet.

  9. cwm says:

    My favorite of Adam’s responses:

    I Trust Da Bitch ‏@kkkkkickinin
@adamlambert is sauli cute or hot?

    Adam Lambert Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert
    @kkkkkickinin both. Duh

And I love that they were playing dress up in Sutan’s closet! Can you imagine how much fun that must have been with the three of them trying everything on? OMG. In Love

Also, can’t help but wonder whether there is any hidden meaning behind his cryptic and winky response to the question about whether he would like to be on Glee. Hmmm. But maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

I do wish he would sign off when he’s done so that we know he’s done. He has a tendency to just leave us hanging!

ETA: LOL I take that back! He’s back at it! He got a phone call. Haha

    Interesting. Love the cover.

  11. TLKC says:

LOL! Fans were speculating that he went to the bathroom. Is it true that he fell asleep during one twitter party? I saw one tweet to that effect.

  12. TLKC says:

Re: Adam’s venue change in the Phillipines. It looks as though the seating for the Smart Areneta Coliseum is 9,679; a smaller venue than the Mall of Asia but still a very good size. Jessica Sanchez is appearing there on Valentines Day.

Off to bed. ‘Gnight to anyone who’s still lurking around.

  13. riskylady says:

cwm, can’t wait to hear the rest of the story from your colleague!

  14. cwm says:

haha well maybe Adam is truly done with the twitter party now since his last tweet was 30 mins ago. That was a fun one. I love his twitter parties. Like I said, though, I do wish he would say sign off when he’s done!

Here are a few treats that just popped up:

The video that was used as an intro to Adam’s set at the Vietnam show is now on youtube:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvB3_ntEgOw&feature=youtu.be

The complete version of the Chinese promo vid… includes set up footage before the “take”. Cute!

I tried to open the link posted above to Neil’s blog posts, but got taken to the godaddy.com site (which sells domain names), as though adam-lambert.org has been taken down or something. Did anyone else have this same problem, or can someone help me with a new link?

  16. ultimathule says:

I opened Neil’s blog posts, cwm – but it was when the link was first put up – haven’t tried it since – yesterday?

Well, yesterday is now Wednesday – so guess I mean Tuesday.

  17. cwm says:

Hi ulti – what happens when you click on this link?

    http://adam-lambert.org/neil-lambert-adam-lamberts-brother/

Now I’m getting a “404 Not Found on this server” error message. Frown

  18. ultimathule says:

Watched the Q&A with Seacrest and the Fab Four – bailed out halfway through – boring.

Mariah came sailing in like Queen Mary – she’s so affected – the boobs spilling over per usual. What fascinated was the jewelry – the looonngg diamond earrings must have weighed a pound each – they dragged down her earlobes so they were stretched and floppy. Have noted that happens in older women (and, I guess, men, too). Not attractive and very aging.

Minaj looked cute – less clownish – see how that one works out. Urban looked nice and bland. Randy just Randy.

Hope the contestants make up for the panel.

  19. ultimathule says:

Get same message, cwm – not found

  20. ultimathule says:

Didn’t read the blog either, cwm – didn’t interest me that much. Not a fan.

  21. ultimathule says:

Why do wealthy women like Mariah, Clarkson, Xtina, et al., wear such unflattering clothes. Is ugly in?

  22. nkd says:

    ← in love ‏@galyachernikova
@adamlambert i want on the next your album songs in ROCK style. *whole lotta love*

    Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert

    Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert
Adam Lambert -A Change Is Gonna Come. Live HQ amazing, surreal moment. Proud memory for you all tonightSmile http://youtu.be/zVOTfo7hJUc

    He’s still twittering!

  23. nkd says:

I don’t even know where to begin speculating on those last tweets.

    Is a change coming?
Just feeling nostalgic watching old performances?
    What does that wink mean?

He sure knows how to stir the pot to keep things stewing! Grin

  24. rs says:

Morning, I know that most of you are asleep by now.

Yes mils They were predicting snow since Tuesday night and it finally came. I woke up to a beautiful white city. The sun has come out now and it is already falling off of the trees, though. I took photos this morning. Let me know if you want me to send you some. It snows in Jerusalem every couple of years, but doesn’t always stick. This has been a very rainy winter so far and it is very good for this drought prone country.

cwm, I trust you to find a way to balance your job and Berting. And I totally agree (as usual) with your comments about Adam’s fans and not pleasing everyone. He just has to continue pleasing himself and all will be well. Can’t wait to hear what your Australian 29 yr old has to say about Trespassing.

About the Monte interview….I’m with riskylady on that one.

  25. luval says:

Hmmm. Don’t know why his twitter party made me a little sad. Too much time on his hands? No dates after the ones already announced? I think that’s the one.

Wonder if anyone asked him about Bowie? Same old questions. Although we don’t know how many he saw and wouldn’t answer

I believe I got an email yesterday from them saying they were changing the name of their site and would be down for a day or two while the change was being made. The new site will be adamlambertsite.org or something like that. Can’t remember what it will be. I assume I’ll get the regular emails when the site is back up.
CWM Congrats on your new position. You deserve it. Also your Aussie friend needs a Kiev dvd from jlurksacto. Trying to convince my son to do one from the Moscow youtube. No He made me a dvd with the Intro only, the first 9 minutes of the July 14th Queen/Adam concert. I thought it was the whole thing, but it ended after the intro and I called him to complain and he said it takes too long to do the whole thing. Hmmm. Let me see if he’ll cooperate. Neutral

I hope it means he will do new music with Queen Grin?

luval, I read those tweets, sensed some sadness too. Adam is so productive and creative, he probably would like to have more things to do, new projects. I’ve never had a jet lag but it can affect mood too. But he’s been tweeting a lot lately…

Have to catch up other stuff later, I need to be productive first Smile

  28. HK fan says:

luval..or anyone, what questions would you like to ask him, different from what he normally gets asked??
A lot of the questions did seem to be the same as usual.

Not a very nice article, I hope it gets some more sensible comments like the first one.

  30. turquoisewaters says:

I hope it gets no further comments. The one comment said it all. No need to make the author feel important.

  31. Calgary says:

I can’t believe no one asked him about his new home!

  32. ultimathule says:

Don’t want him to be sad – this makes me feel awful.

  33. ultimathule says:

His birthday is coming up – don’t think that makes him happy either.

  34. TLKC says:

Thinking about you in the new job cwm. In my early working days I was moved around in my organization a lot. The first 4 months are the hardest and it takes a whole year if you have to deal with financials. Your job has been made even harder by the fact that no one has been doing it for a while. You can do it. Big Smile

Love the fact that you have turned your colleague’s Adam introduction into a story. Keeps us tuning in and there is a bit of suspense.

Also enjoying the crosswords, AL. Needed to click on the “check” feature a bit too much and also had to keep looking into the Hennessy post. It’s amazing that Adam’s fandom has it’s own crossword puzzle.

This is when fandoms fizzle – downtime. Glamberts are such a self-sufficient, engaging bunch that it’s not likely to happen.

I wish I had thought to tweet Adam the following question last night: Did you know that your have your own weekly crossword? With the link. I think he would be thrilled to know that.

  35. TLKC says:

IMHO, the best response to that article is to make fun of the movie and barely mention Adam. Post links to the worst reviews and ask people why they praising such a bad film.

I posted a response under my real first name. Don’t want to inundate them. Anyone up for posting the New Yorker reviews? How about the review that Eber tweeted? Just let the reviews speak for themselves. This story could gradually turn into an “Adam was right” wave if we change the subject from Adam to the film itself.

  36. TLKC says:

Adam might be a little bit sad, of course, but he could also be watching old performances in preparation for the new tour. Checking out what worked and what didn’t. He must be excited for the tour.

The Hennessy photo montages were really impactful. Does anyone know whether Adam and his managment prepared them or Hennessy? Loved the eyes backing up NCOE. It would be great if he could use that photo montages in his tour.

Plus he’s moving into a new place. A new start, a new year. Adam loves change.

  37. Calgary says:

Kind of funny that the story revolves around Adam’s comments and not the double blast from the New Yorker critics, or some of the others. Mackintosh made a fool of himself though, saying “What does he know about musical theatre?” Shoshanna should send him Adam’s resume!

  38. ultimathule says:

Yes – that’s interesting, Calgary – perhaps because Adam’s comments got so much press.

  39. rs says:

Why are people assuming that Adam in sad? He needs some quiet down-time with his love in his new home after the whirlwind of the last few months. Don’t forget that he is juicing. He has a big birthday party and a new year to start planning for, and the opportunities are endless. I imagine that he is glad for a few weeks of TV catching up, movies and being a bit of a couch potato (or footstool). And it isn’t like he doesn’t know what he will be doing. In February it all starts up again.

  40. ultimathule says:

    Thanks, rs

    “footstool” – lol

  41. luval says:

On Juneau/xena site it says Bowie to appear at Cochella in California in April. Some of the comments say it’s a hoax. Kinda looks real to me.

Academy awards announced. Les Mis got best picture, actor (HughJackman) and best supporting actress for Hathaway. But no nom for director. That’s a real slap in the face IMO.

Question about his new home would have been nice but maybe he saw it and refused to answer. And maybe he’s decided to only answer the same old ones so as to not cause a frenzy.

  42. luval says:

    A new time, a new place, a new life…..feelin’ good! (I hope)

  43. Miss Chaos says:

The wink after WLL comment about rock, could mean Queen, OR hes going more to the rock element, ie a change is gonna come reference. JMO of course.
Am sad about watching AI I think they are totally wrecking it with the Carey Nicky thing, it will be all about the judges, you know it will, and I hope we dont have a repeat of P2, who cant sing, but I guess for some reason is popular and album is selling, (unless) AI is buying up his stuff to make him and AI look good, ROTFL

  44. TLKC says:

I would love to see Jerusalem under snow rs. It must look beautiful. White snow doesn’t last for long in Toronto. The dirt of the city gets into it pretty quickly. The snow is melting here and it’s supposed to be 12 degrees Celsius on Saturday Shock

Adam has a lot to plan and look forward to right now. He also mentioned that he would love to go to Rio or Barcelona. Sounds as though he has lots of ideas what to do with down time when he finally gets some. Not for awhile, though.

  45. nkd says:

What I found interesting about the article posted above was that the producer and the director saw Adam’s comments. The director must have also seen his follow up tweets too.

Director Tom said: “I got the impression that he was quite surprised about his comments becoming a global story.

Surely they saw all of the reviews also!

  46. ultimathule says:

“Have your heard about the sequel to Les Miz? It’s called “Less Miserables” – because Russell Crowe won’t be singing in it.”

Part of a funny comment by “Dorothy” on the article.

  47. rs says:

I’ll send you some photos of the snow TLKC. They are from my window, not of panoramic Jerusalem, but nice, nevertheless

  48. Kradamour says:

Re the tweets…I think that January is a natural time to contemplate life in general, the new year…then add some jetlag and a birthday to that mix.
I love that Adam reaches out to us when he is feeling contemplative, as he seems to do.
    In Love

ETA: I love that some kid asked for help with his homework! and that Adam chose to reply.
Damn could he be more lovable…

  49. TLKC says:

Contemplative is the perfect word kradamour. Adam is taking stock and surveying the landscape. Refreshing, reflecting and revving up for the next move.

I can’t open the pics on my iPhone rs but will check them out as soon as I get home.

Gee ulti, I wonder who Dorothy is? Grin

  50. Soccermom says:

You know … Glee and Smash are still filming episodes for this season….
