2013 will apparently begin with a rather quiet month for Adam, as he has only one performance currently scheduled. This will be a Hennessy Artistry event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 4. After that, Adam’s next scheduled event is the kickoff of his international “non-tour” in Seoul, South Korea on February 17. There is no official word as yet on whether some North American dates will eventually be added to the non-tour in the spring, but recent comments from Adam have not been very optimistic.

Above we see Adam performing at his final concert of 2012, at the Mulia Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Happy New Year and enjoy the chat!

luval, Hopefully your years of hard work linking Adam and Bowie will pay off in March. Do you think he and Adam have a collab on the album??

I agree nkd, the single seems a bit sad. My interpretation is that it is a love song. Is the woman in the vid his wife? Why are they part of the paraphernalia in the room. Is it a storage room of his life???? So many questions.

I ventured out today into the freezing cold, wind and rain of the wettest winter in years (flooding in the lowlands, snow expected here tonight)and what did I find in my mailbox to warm my heart? A package from jlurks with five copies of the Kiev DVD to gift to peeps here. It arrived in eight days with no problems with customs. The secret is to write “homemade DVDs with no value. Ha, no value! Little do they know! But whatever works, right!

cwm that Trespassing video is fantastic! It was posted a little while ago, on New Years Eve, when you were busy with your family. The synchronization of the clips to the audio of the song is amazing.

Watched the Bowie video, I don’t dislike the song, think it could grow on me, but the video is just weird, and not very flattering to David Bowie, not that I ever found him that attractive anyway. And who is the woman, and why is she there when she doesn’t do anything? I kept expecting her to join in the singing.

Hello rs. I’m off work today. Just called my boss and he’s on his way into the office. He was very nice about it. He will check to see if I left them on my desk. If not, then I left them in the ladies washroom and we will have to call security and the cleaning department.

The keys have no ID on them but someone could try all the office doors on the floor, I guess. That said, our building is very high security and the police department has offices on the top two floors. You can’t get in without a pass after 5pm and you can only go to your floor. 50/50 chance an honest person will find them and hand them in. Maybe 80/20?

I am really sick about the key chain, rs. I considered it a good luck charm. The last half of last year was much better than the first. Not superstitious but crossing my fingers.

I’ve seen it done on a lot of ads. I’ve even been known to use that technique. Just with a bit of a lighter hand.

Adam is going quite heavy again in the makeup direction. I do tend to like his look when it is not so heavy and dark. But, that’s just me. His look at the Take40 with Is This Love with the light makeup and light hair slayed me. I never would have expected it, but his face just glowed.

I have a day off today for a few appts. before my real full time hours start next week.

Okay, so after reading Sauli’s blog, I see why Adam is getting philosophical, they are de-toxing and juicing. BB needs something to do that is peaceful while “cleansing.” And jet-lagging.

Poor guys. It’s exhausting to be jet-setting celebrities who glam and charm whole cities with their beauty and talent.

On the topic of juicing, guess what a Glambert left at my house after our New Years party? A Breville juicer!!! It was taking up space and she wasn’t using it. It’s sitting in the laundry room at the moment. The electrical appliances buyer at the company where I used to work called items like this “next year’s garage sale.”

TLKC, I am so glad your keys were found! The hamsa isn’t exactly a good luck charm, it is to ward off the evil eye. Almost the same thing, but one is positive and the other is anti-negative. Whatever, glad you found it.

Now I am off to brave the terrible stormy weather and coming snow for my weekly scrabble club. I need some of that luck.

Adam sold a lot of GN merchandise, though. He probably had to give the venue a percentage as well. Next time, maybe he can sell stuff out of the back of a van before and after the show.

jlurks That’s a revealing article. Not a lot of money for the star when you have a crew as big as Adam’s.I wondered, back in GNT days, when he was playing in ~2000-seat venues, and tix were as cheap as $50, how he could be making much, with 10 people to pay, especially on the overseas gigs.

So how does it go, is he paid that when he comes and performs? Or is he paid depending on tix sales? I thought about it in Bali – 500 tix x 500$ = 250000$.

Ok…I just pre-ordered Bowie’s album.

Like nkd…first I liked the song, now I love it. It’s like the BTIKM of his album.

The mask is off. His appearance is a little bit strange at first. But I don’t think he gives a crap. In fact I think he’s been watching Adam. Taking hints from him on “just being yourself”. And I did send him GN live. It was never “return to sender”. Maybe this is always the music he’s wanted to do yet the glam got in the way. He’s grown way up. Of course we haven’t heard the whole album yet.

The video is odd…all the symbolism…what does it mean? Would love to sit down & have a cup of tea with him. TLKC, love that article you posted. Gives a little clearer description of where he lives in NYC. I am going to meet David Bowie one of these days and I cannot wait.

Regarding Bowie, He is 66 years old. Although Mick Jagger can still strut his rock n roll at 70, don’t think Bowie can or wants to. He’s saying “this is who I am”. So the song may be junk, but I still like it! It gave me chills. So as usual, different strokes for different folks. Am hoping he’ll do something live.

mils, I am not forgotten This is a snow ball effect. I emailed Agata yesterday when it crossed my mind whether she is coming, I met her in London in summer and remembered she’s from Poland. She didn’t know there was a concert in Finland! For her it was an immediate decision. rs has been thinking about it. Now she’s thinking about it more Maybe some others too.

rs, there are also normal price tix available. Some fans have now extra tix for sale, good seats normal price. That 8 hours flight surprised me, I thought it would be shorter! I’ve been to Rhodos, Creek and it was 4 hours. But there’s still time to think about it.

I watched Voice of Finland today, first episode of the second season. TWO guys sang Queen in audition, WWTLF and TSMGO. The judges/mentors were thrilled, but all I was thinking was Adam’s performances. Was wondering have they seen it…

LadyNorth, If I go all that way, I would want the great seats. Otherwise I can watch the vids! The travel time is long because there aren’t direct flights from Tel Aviv to Helsinki, or at least not on the days that I looked. I have to check it out more thoroughly

Some gossip journalist trash-talking about an accomplished person. (I know, that’s what they do.) It’s completely Bowie’s prerogative how he wants to live his life. He certainly made mistakes, but also more than his share of contributions. And there is nothing wrong with looking 65 if you are 65.

ITA turquoise. He’s a legend and as such deserves respect. I just don’t like the new song, and hope the new album has better ones. I saw him on some Unplugged special a few years ago, and he was fabulous. Telling stories, chatting between songs and giving acoustic performances. Very Bowie. But dresses like he was in those photos in NY. Very low key.
