Then again…is the general public even aware of Adam’s tweets? No one at work mentioned a word. Guess people just don’t watch the gossip shows so it might be a bit confusing or complicated for them (the Adam Levine/Adam Lambert situation).

I’ve always wondered too. I imagine it would only work at a very very large wedding. The planner asks some guests if they can sing, then try to figure out from those guests who else could fill the bill…networking in private, secretly planning the whole thing, rehearsals, etc. What a lovely surprise to the non-singers and bride & groom, of course.

I read down in the comments on that wedding video, turns out the bride and groom are both composers and performers, so their friends are also in musical theater. But, to plan this, rehearse this, and pull it off shows how much they love their friends. The comments on this video are so sweet.

I have been addicted to Adam’s unreleased song “Hold On” all day today. Finally was able to get it on my ipod.

We have had an embarrassment of riches this last year. I wish the rest of the US knew what Adam has been up to. Even the VH1 Divas and Pretty Little Liars appeal only to a small segment. There are plenty of people who think he is a failure because we aren’t hearing his music on the radio or television.
I rarely go to Walmart, but happened to be there today (got a gift card for Christmas). I walked through the music aisles, and there was no sign of Adam’s albums, not even an open hole where his albums should have been. It was like he didn’t exist. No wonder he’s ready to move on with new music.
I think the first album was for the record label after Idol. The second album was for him, to finally be able to express himself as an artist and sharing his reality. I hope the third album is for the fans–incorporating more of what we like the most:
1. The angsty songs, like WWFM, CLYG, SW.
2. The rock edge, like WWL.
3. Fun stuff, like Cuckoo.
4. Songs that show off that VOICE–thinking of Runnin’ and any of the ballad-style songs.
I like FYE more than TSP. I missed out on clubbing (got married the week after high school graduation, first of four babies born a year later), so I don’t really relate to those songs. They are high energy and fun, but I’m not really drawn to them. I absolutely loved BTIKM–I could relate to that one. Like WWFM that phrase has come up many times over my forty-year marriage.
I’m hoping this year’s experiences yields some really great music for the next album. My wish is that he makes it universal–I want my grandchildren to be able to sing along with his music. They need to know what great music really is so they quit accepting mediocre.
But what is that exactly?
We like so many different things from Adam. Just our small group here has different favorites and different songs that they don’t like as much.
I love FYE, but I love Trespassing more. I think it has a more sophisticated sound.
I might be disappointed in an Adam album that didn’t reach across genres for a mix of sounds.
Anyway, I’m excited for what he has next for us. New music, Queenbert concerts, TV appearances…

As far as making anyone out to be him for sure, that’s difficult since the focus is on Megan.
At 3:17 it looks like him holding her hands, and it looks like his hands, but the picture is not clear.

I would say – guessing, of course – that it’s not him. Voice just lacks the same quality and the smile doesn’t really look like his. Maybe some of the others here will take a look/listen and let us know.

One another note, Johnny Weir was on Guy and Rachels Celebrity Cooking, and was gay as heck, showed his husband, and son, dressed in a corset, and kissed one of the male stars, it was really funny but not in a bad way, just part of the show, and I didnt think it showed being gay in a bad light, they all laughed with him, not at him. You cant figure out what works or not, and this is a cooking show, and popular. Go figure. Johnny needs to step up his cooking tho, he didnt want any fat in his chicken burger because he said he is a skater, and needs to watch his weight, and the people judging said it was too dry, lol.
Also on another cooking show, the Sandwich king, he make barbecue kale chips, he put the kale pieces in the oven, and dried them, then sprinkled a mixture of dry barbecue powder on them, just for your information. Ya Im bored watching cooking shows,
Hi nkd and ulti – Happy New Year to you and everyone here at ALL. I have been MIA over the holidays and haven’t caught up but I watched the clip with Megan. I stopped it at 3:18 and the features seem too sharp – especially the chin – for it to be Adam. Just my opinion – and I didn’t hear his voice either…

Well, I still think it’s him. We do know that he performed ensemble while Megan was Glinda in LA. You can see him in the 5 Fiyeros as the first one performs and Megan is Glinda.

Hi Ellessay, I think this will help you feel better. I was in Target today and while there I picked up two copies of Trespassing to give as gifts. Not only did Adam have a designated spot in the Pop Music alphabetical section for both the Standard and Deluxe Trespassing album, but ALSO a designated spot for Trespassing Deluxe in the “Top Hits in Pop” section, which was a shelf above the alphabetical section.
So I think it all depends on the store.
Happy to say I’ve seen him in the Target stores, too.

I don’t understand why a movie is even being made about Liberace – the whole idea sounds tacky – even the title, “Behind the Candelabra” – almost sounds like a comedy. And “too gay” for Hollywood? Is this a joke? More likely, it’s a dog that both gays and straights will walk away from. Can’t imagine Liberace – who really was a terrific pianist/entertainer – would like his private life spread all over the screen.
