Was at a family party tonight and stated that one of the performers on tv looked like Will.i.Am (the sound was off, so I couldn’t hear who it was for sure.) My husband looked at my sister and said “Who is that?” I said, “He’s a singer.” My sister said, “How does she even know that?” My husband answered, “I don’t even ask anymore.” My sister replied, “Maybe he sang with Adam Lambert.” At which point, both my sister and my husband had a good laugh. I swear I try to hide my Lambert love, but it still seeps out.
I’ll get the last laugh when the new album comes out…

Ha, I can certainly empathize with your mom, Oksana. I try to look at it the other way, though. I rather feel that the whole country is celebrating right along with me. You know, kind of like one big happy party…. LOL!
Speaking of which, my husband and I spent the evening at a club with a great band. The lead singer (female) was awesome. She did all kinds of current pop tunes (Rolling In The Deep, Bad Romance, etc.), and did them quite well. Not easy doing Adele or Gaga. There was a very mixed age group there — a number of 29 year olds like myself (ahem), some older, and some younger. They were even taking requests at which point my hubby tried to get me to request an Adam song. I told him to ask me again next year after his new music has been out. The thing is no one, but no one can do justice to any song originally sung by Adam. It just wouldn’t work!

Happy New Year Adamlive friends. I like many others here spent a quite but happy New Years Eve at home with hubby. Did pig out however on vegetable tempura and shrimp and am having more today. Belated Happy Birthday to all the late in the year birthdays. I’ve always thought it would be hard to have a special day, as a child, with so many other holidays around but I’m sure it is easier for 29+ yr olds. I hope January flys by so that we can get the release to radio and lots of promo.

Enjoying a truly lazy day. Still in my jammies. Made a yummy baked french toast strata thingy this morning, grazing on it all day, hubby and son #2 making yummy sounds. Love that.
Loved that King and Queen link. Loved even more the link in it to Broken Open from MY Honolulu show(s). Suz was just two people away from me, and Adam was THAT close to me, and Goatie, both nights. Adjectives don’t suffice.
Thanks for that memory. Those shows were sublime. The audience was so very respectful, quiet Broken Open, and silent Soaked. And finding out that Leila was literally right behind me, LULZ. I mean, who looks behind themselves when Adam is on stage?

Today, two articles (Spanish and Italian) talked about Robbie Williams’ new album coming out in 2012, with collabs from Adele and Adam Lambert.
He’s a star in the UK, and also a big fan of Adam. He’s the one who said that right now his favorite popstars are Adam and Michael Buble, and if they were in a competition, he wouldn’t even bother to enter.

In my opinion, it’s all good. I personally love that Adam is so well known for his “amazing” notes. For all we know, the comment could have been said in jest and good naturedly.

It is odd, however, like you said that there no one selected yet. I started tweeting and e-mailing them in November about Adam! At first I thought they will probably pick someone “safe”. But Madonna at half-time isn’t safe!
It would be a little strange having Adam doing the anthem and Monte playing with Madonna at halftime.
Way too strange, IMO. Uncomfortable for all concerned. Hope it doesn’t happen.
I thought of that too, glambotgram but I suppose the Glamberts are one of the few that know about what happened. I so wish they could mend fences one day.

If Adam were to be given the opportunity (which I doubt will happen), he would most likely be long gone by halftime. I would never like to see an opportunity for Adam be squelched due to Monte.

Reading Wiki about the National Anthem and the Superbowl. Didn’t know that it was confirmed (a few days after) that Whitney H. was singing into a dead mic and that the performance was pre-recorded. Also, JHud lipsynched. The whole list is interesting – some really good singers and some – hmmmm.

Re the tweet about KC making that comment. KC must have been proud of his note to invoke the name of the guy known for his great voice. I took it as a compliment to Adam. He is the one with the voice!
As for the Super Bowl, I would love to see Adam perform there in any capacity. I think Adam and Monte are professional enough to be in the same stadium briefly. They could possibly never even see each other.
