Adam

January was a quiet month for Adam as he was taking a break from touring with Queen. The tour is starting up again this month as they head to New Zealand and Australia for 10 shows there. It wasn’t all rest though as he let us know that he has new music “simmering”. Hope he’s whipping up something that will be to everyone’s musical taste!

    My take on the JCS thing:
    1) I have NO faith in NBC having Adam. He was denied interviews on both the Today Show and Fallon while promoting TOH and allowed to sing only. Many much lesser artists have been treated better. That network has pretty much blacklisted Adam.
    2) When the producer tweeted that JCS will be “different” that to me was a heads-up. Different – like they made Les Miz different? We know Adam hated that. The cast so far is not promising – easy-listening singers. If they butcher the soaring musical numbers and make them blah, he may not even be interested. And if they’re looking at Fonsi, well, I rest my case. I just think NBC will make it unwatchable.

    I’m much more interested in his new music.

    Agree with your post, riskylady. If they want Fonsi they can have him. He has millions and millions of followers on IG & Twitter.I never heard of him until I read about the Despacito video having almost 4 billion views. I hate that song & the video. Think his popularity is mostly with the Latino community worldwide.

    People on twitter assumed Adam had the job just because he was following & liking every person connected with the show. But that stopped with Sarah Bareilles. He never acknowledged her casting. I have a feeling there may have been productive talks with Adam (does he have management?) but it was a “wait and see” or “we’ll decide soon”. Then Andrew Lloyd Weber got wind of Fonsi,met him at the pre-Grammy party (not that long ago!) his popularity, etc and things changed.

    I remember when I first heard John Legend & Bareilles on The Today show the first thing that came to my mind was the lack of urgency…by this I mean they both didn’t think it was any big deal. That it would come together with no problem. It was a concert, of course. Not that they’d phone it in but they won’t really have lines to learn like a true production.

    Now until papers are signed & announcements made nothing is definite but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t this guy. And if it is (or even someone else), I could care less about watching and I’ll be very disappointed and angry! Really Pissed Really Pissed Really Pissed

    I’m ready for Adam music too, but who can deny the joy Q&A bring to so many? The two shows I saw and shared with family were hours of freedom from everyday worries and memories made that I’ll always cherish. Entertainment at it’s very best. I love @adamlambert & @QueenWillRock

    riskylady and luval– Thanks for putting the whole JCS thing in perspective. As much as I would love to see Adam in the role of Judas, I would rather not have him get involved in the show if it’s not going to be a stellar production. He doesn’t need it.

    I’m thrilled to see that they’re scheduling more QAL shows on Europe this summer. Now that’s a spectacular show and truly worthy of Adam’s talent.

    I’ve never thought he’d be in JCS, don’t know why…just thought he would be overlooked again..didn’t want to say though as everyone seemed so positive about itSmile

    I’m glad there’s more QAL shows…the collaboration has such a limited time frame left they have to do it while they still can…
