Looks like that crossing our collective fingers has resulted in a summer tour! There’s never a dull moment when it comes to Adam. First he adopts Pharaoh and then the announcement of another pet project: a North American QAL tour! Throw in a birthday party and January proved to be a good Adam news month.     Love James Corden. I have watched him since the beginning of The Late Late Show.

    He is super talented and funny. He can sing and dance. He has done Carpool Karaoke with all the big names and he can hold his own.
    Queen songs are hard to sing and we are used to the superb Adam. So we could hear a few flaw and bum notes from Corden.

    Those of you who came to Toronto for the first Queen + Adam Lambert concert in July 2014 will remember our wonderful get-together dinner at The Hot House restaurant. I haven’t been there since then.

    But, this afternoon, TLKC, M & P, milkywayfairy, Karen, Gil and I will be meeting there at 2pm for Sunday Brunch Buffet. It will be a dual birthday celebration as it was M‘s birthday on February 3rd. Looking forward to a fun afternoon.

    I woke up to find a very nice present from Gil. A few weeks ago, he strongly hinted … practically told me … that he was going to buy me a camera for my birthday. A more than decent camera. So, I was surprised to find an envelope waiting for me next to the coffee maker. I thought, “That’s awfully flat to be a camera”. Big Smile

    To back up to yesterday, I told Gil of my plans to finally … finally! … once and for all, get my passport and permanent resident card and most likely in April but definitely by May. The “PR” card would take a few months to process so I was looking to be able to travel around Labor Day.

    Inside that flat camera envelope though was a card with several $50 bills in it to more than cover the cost of both travel documents. I could begin the process tomorrow.

    So luval … fluff up the guest room pillows.

    I’ll be stopping by, for an hour or two, a lot sooner than we thought. Wink

    asifclueless I totally did not notice the blurred parts until you mentioned it. What I did notice though is that Adam wanted to sing in “Somebody to love” the 2nd sentence “can’t barely stand on my feet” but then he refrained from doing it because James was already starting to sing.

    I also noticed that Adam was about to touch James’ chin but at the last moment refrained from it and held James’ tie instead…

    Also after I saw the sing off of James with Neil Patrick Harris, there were some similarities… James pushing Neil’s face ( but Adam could avoid the physical contact, Neil couldn’t), and Adam and Neil standing briefly in front of James while performing. Also a bit of gayish tones… Adam with James’ tie but Neil’s lick beats them all. But I don’t think Adam can afford to do something like that lick while being with Queen on TV… maybe during his solo concerts he can…

    Ron Happy Birthday, guy and what a present!! Hope you will use it sooner rather than later…and the Duke and I will get to see you after all… as so far we’ve been unable to get satisfactory tickets for Toronto where we had so much fun w/ our Canadian friends! Maybe the Hollywood Bowl???

    As for the Duke and I…we’ve gotten tickets to Phoenix Hollywood, Chicago and Boston and look forward to seeing lots of old friends in many locations…well, maybe not Boston. Still working on Toronto and Las Vegas and East coast…but it will be a long time before additional seats are released I’m sure. I truly believe this was the worst Ticketmaster ordeal I’ve been through. On Friday, the Duke and I had to split up to different locales because Ticketmaster kept blocking us…probably due to same IP address. Firefox wasn’t allowing any access to Ticketmaster and using anonymix (?) didn’t get us very far. Blocked! It appears if you are looking at multiple venues and throw back unsatifactory seats that Ticketmaster is ruthless…and my only crime was being fussy!

It was another tough Ticketmaster day…as there was a Live Nation presale and I was at work with a slooooooow(!) computer and getting nowhere. So a frustrating day coupled with getting older! But looking forward to a great year W/ QAL coming soon.
