Looks like that crossing our collective fingers has resulted in a summer tour! There’s never a dull moment when it comes to Adam. First he adopts Pharaoh and then the announcement of another pet project: a North American QAL tour! Throw in a birthday party and January proved to be a good Adam news month. Just coming up for air from all the packing and renovation madness to watch WWHL. It was fantastic. I have never seen Chrissie before but she seems lovely and didn’t hog the show like the last one did. Adam was his adorable, lovable, funny, honest self.
And one more thing, I saw a few pages ago that asif will be at the Washington show. We have to meet this time, not just wave from a distance. Real plans have to be made.

When I first saw WWHL I have to say I was disappointed. Andy Cohen. Supposed to be a good friend of Adam? Was it an act that he didn’t know Adam had sung with Kiss or questioned whether Adam sang AOBTD on the Queen tour? Maybe an act…maybe not. I don’t think he ever watched This is Us either. Cohen is too involved with his Housewives series where he is executive producer. Doesn’t do his homework.
I even thought Adam was kind of “cool” to Chrissy. To me he didn’t engage that much with her. Chrissy is such a doll and was polite & kind.
But I watched it a second time. Haven’t changed my mind about Cohen but I noticed more interaction with Adam to Chrissy that I missed the first time. And of course it’s never like Adam to be chilly to anyone.

I never thought he was chilly to Chrissy.
But
She was far less rude than prior guests, but she did jump in to his questions a couple of times
And
She was a little handsy. Hand on his thigh more than once. He quickly brushed her hand away. He did not care for that at all.
And
He NEVER interrupts or jumps in to a question that isn’t his.
As far as Andy goes, he’s kind of vapid in every show. He relies on his cards and his phone screens for the whole show.
I blame his team for the ridiculous old themed questions and as far as the vapid look on his face, it’s real .
But
He DID say out loud that he wants to see QAL at Barclay. He almost never does that with other guests.

So, as I sit here having my car tuned up…
A true story I’ve been sitting on :
So. I got back to work after my week in NY, followed by the kids coming home for more celebrations, and another week off, and my son’s over the top Brooklyn Fiddler on the Roof wedding for 500 yes , 5 hundred guests , many friends who came to NY, many meals, including Junior’s cheesecake, which was worth the price of the trip, cuz, OMG Juniors cheesecake, there’s another slice waiting for me at QAL Barclay, aahhh.
Oh my, got lost in my cheesecake fantasy.
Back to my story. Sorry.
So, I got back to work, settled in for a few minutes, and met up with my workberts, looked at a few wedding pics, so nice, and then started to review our ticket buying stories, and how my plane was literally landing at La Guardia at the moment QAL went on sale, and all the frenzy on their side, loving it.
So, they are doing Chicago, and decided against St Paul the next night.
Sad. Awwww. I’ll miss them. They’re only doing one show.
THEN
One of them literally spins me around by the shoulders, and says
“Ask me where ELSE we’re going!!!”
Me:”OH MY GAWD!!#!!WHERE ELSE ARE YOU GOING? ???”
Her. “Phoenix and Vegas baby!!!”
I jumped in the air hugged and high five them .
Had to shut the door so as to avoid getting in trouble at work!!!
OMG
Such a giggle laugh riot ensued.
They are sooooo in. Deep into the glitz.
So proud of my workberts.
Oh, and by the way, Adam follows one of them on Instagram. And he follows a third one, who doesn’t go to concerts, dammit. But now, Ricky fracking Martin follows HIM too.
Can’t get over all of this.

I enjoyed watching Watch What Happens Live – Adam was his cute, sweet, funny, and charming self as always. And looked adorable. And Chrissy Metz seemed sweet and charming as well. I thought the whole show was rather tame though, and could have been spiced up a bit more with better questions and better-thought-out games from the show producers. Could have been more bawdy, more “hilarity”, something – especially with those great guests who had the potential for so many more laughs and surprises.
I’ve always wondered why they have someone behind the bar and don’t do more with them to integrate them into the action. I love Randy Rainbow – he’s very funny and witty – and while he got a couple of moments in the spotlight, he was quite removed from the conversation. It would be fun for the show to be more creative with the “bartender” if they’re going to have one, and integrate them more.
Anyway, it was still fun to watch, and I liked hearing Adam’s answers to some of the questions. And he sure was purty to look at.
And it was definitely better than that time that Beth Ditto totally dominated everyone!
mils – I don’t think that Chrissy was being handsy and that Adam was disliking it. If you watch closely, their feet were in the same geographic zone, and when one of them would moved one of their feet, they would often accidentally bump the other person’s foot. Every time Chrissy reached over to Adam and touched his leg, it was because their feet had just accidentally collided. So I think it was just a reflexive and polite gesture on her part to apologize for bumping his foot, and he was reaching out to her hand to acknowledge her gesture.
cwm, that’s great about you & mmm222 going to both shows! I’ve lost track of how many there are now. But we all know this is not going to last forever. This may even be the last time they’ll be touring. So yes, if you can manage it…GO!!!!
cwm…I thought the same thing about Randy Rainbow. He might as well not have been there. Strange. Randy didn’t seem that thrilled either. On past shows I’ve seen more interaction with the “bar tender”. I don’t know what happened with this show.
