Cait, we all know how you feel. ALL is the safety net for all of us. There certainly isn’t anyone around me who understands. A few people know about my “passion” and mostly think it is great that I have made such good friends, but no one without the Adam gene can understand the depth of the emotions that we feel. That is one of the reasons that when I saw how quickly and hard you “fell” I wanted you to come here to find a safe and comforting place to land
Check out this pic of Roger back then. Pretty!

rs,
I loved to read about your concert experiences. Some of them I have known of course, but not the first ones! What made you travel especially to Florida?
And you should be proud of guiding Cait here – many ALLers have told about their baby glamberts, but I am not sure if anyone has come here?
When I fell I was just alone in youtubes and google for couple of months, I wish I had had some mentor back then! I remember wanting to meet some other new fans to share my current feelings. It was not very easy to join in as a newbie and if the comments are anonymous, there’s unfortunately room for trolls on many comment sites. Never seen any troll here!
Cait, have you been involved in some Queen fan sites during your fandom – when did you fell for Queen? I have visited some but couldn’t go on because of the hatred towards Adam. It made me too sad and distressed. I am happy that some attitudes are changing, at least with those who have been to QAL concerts! A lot of converts aftr every concert
LadyNorth, I couldn’t get to the States during the summer and I was planning to go in the fall, so I had pretty much given up on the idea of seeing the GNT in the States and was waiting to see when they would get to Europe. Then when they added the Hard Rock concert at the end of September, I realized that I could start my American trip in Florida, and with Glambert friends (and another good friend I could stay with), it was perfect. And of course, when the London GNT happened at the end of November, that was a no brainer
RS I really Loved reading your journey through the right concerts. And I think its correct what you said about the unique expierence every concert is. They are giving so much of themselves on the stage so much energy floating around its always Something special.
About Europe and being more free..
Hm I know many Bands love playing in Europe or especially in germany. We tend to be very loyal to our favs groups of the 70s and 80s and always are happy when they come back again. Even younger ppl in their Trend or mid twenties are gone on that music. So its something really special for us to see those Bands live and go a bit crazy on concerts because we never know when or if they come back. In Hamburg Adam pushed we pushed back it was like a loop, going higher and higher till the end. And they have played more and more together so that helps too
I hope that makes a bit sense to anyone else but me lol
LadyNorth not really involved with other Forums. Went a bit here or their. Most of the time on queenonline.com Somehow i didnt felt all that welcome. Some of them made me feel like a wannabe Fan because i havent been even born in the 70s and couldnt understand Queen and Freddie Mercury. It wasnt any place i wanted to settle down.
My boyfriend and I both like classic rock. He watched a documentation about Queen and i was hooked. Loved the music, fell in love with Freddies voice a few days later. It wasnt the hard fast fall like i had with Adam but since then i was obsessed and still am
Cait, do you know about Adam’s tattoo of the infinity symbol? It is the second one he got and represents his relationship with his audience while performing, how he gives to them and they give back to him. Your description fit that perfectly!
LadyNorth, you have to remember that most of the stories about baby glamberts that we hear here come from ALLer’s real life. It is totally understandable not to want to expose this part of our lives to people from work or other parts of rl. It could make for some self-conscious editing of posts here. I found Cait in the chatroom of the concert stream and we got to talking and I referred her here. Our only connection has been surrounding Adam and Queen. That is a big difference. Still, I love being considered a mentor
Still wanted to add rs that I feel exactly the same about Adam’s performances getting better and how there’s something wild and loose in European shows, especially after he got great reviews and feedback in Queen’s home country. You put it into words very well. One thing I think also is GA entry on the floor – the most enthusiastic (usually young and/or hardcore) people who queue since morning are in front rows, which is rewarding to the artist.
I love this new fierceness of his. And the confidence he shows in front of audiences that don’t know him yet. He’s learning and developing to become amazing frontman of a rock band and able to control bigger audiences than before. Most big stars today rely on massive stage show with a lot of dancers, choreos, background video shows, changing stage structures, monsters etc. These QAL shows only need well designed stage and light show, timeless great music, a handful of very talented musicians and one Adam Lambert on stage to be amazing. I rather want pure great voice and music with real instruments, not a spectacle…
rs No didnt know about that tattoo. Even though I adore well made tattoos I havent checked out any of his. Must do that soon!
And I am so glad that we got talking that one night after a concert, rs. Really so glad.
I dont like concerts with too many dancers, choreos etc. There is nothing spontaneous in there. The bands or singers cant react all so well or at all to the crowds, sometimes it is embarrasing to see so called superstars failing in their choreos standing helpless on stage without knowing what to do. Its really awful
Clean shows are so awesome with just a good concept that still leaves the artists so much freedom to react and interact with the crowd.
ET Come back later to catch up !

Today’s Mood. http://instagram.com/p/yzjtxduNJe/
rs wow, you really had the glamily experience…
luval Does it look angry to you? I thought it looked like he is in a fierce, passionate mood
Lol rs, didn’t think about it on that side… That its not that they don’t want to come, more like they are not being told about this I could show this side of me to my friends, they are not shocked, but they just have passions to some other things. And my mother, she is a half bert. I invited her to lunch today and told I have spent my evenings listening to streams of concerts, almost every night. She said she knows the tour program, had googled it. And asked very interested, is it possible to listen to those concerts.. Soon she is there with us. OMG. But I understand people don’t want colleges from work here. Unless you want to break free !
And I think all ALLers are kind of mentors when bringing their own experiences and suggestions here
Cait I have heard that Germans love rock and metal. Many heavy metal bands in Finland are famous in Germany too. As a classic rock lover, you should check Adam’s version of Led Zeppelin’s Whole lotta love. On idols and GNT. Not on DVD…
LadyNorth oh yeah we love rock and metal. We just love to rock totally lol
I already did check it out. First watched the Idol version countless times, then after getting into the GNT a bit more i checked it out on YouTube. Yeah even the whole Amsterdam incl. Purple Haze. Its epic. I love his interpretation of that song. The rock version and the whole little groovy thing. Awesome really.
My family knows about my concert-addiction too. Already planned the next few concerts ahead, rearranging some things…What did they call this tour in America in an interview? Once In A Lifetime? So I think that justifies some rearranging…
My touch of the Glamily experience was as follows…
During GNT cher hooked me up with Hakunamatata in Singapore who was able to get me and my friend tickets for the fanzone in front of the open air stage. So I was able to see Adam relatively close to the stage (10th row but GA) from 11.30 pm-01.00 am. Got a facebook friend out of it, she was more into Maria Carey who performed the next day at the F1. But she liked the GNT-concert.
No All-er during the WAF-concert in Jakarta but at least I got a new Facebookfriend.. She also went to the WAF stint at New Year’s eve in Bali a few months earlier.
So no pre or post concert meetups… just me going back to the hotelroom (Spore) or my own room (near Jakarta) and writing a recap like crazy LOL…
Btw Hakunamatata is in the US now and is also on my facebooklist…
luval ouch.. hope he is feeling well… and getting well soon… sending many warm love-vibes to him and imaginary hot lemon teas with honey…
Hamburg – Frankfurt is about 1 hour planeflight according to Uncle Google…
ETA: I like Cait1602’s interpretation of the image.
Matt Kimes @Matty_Kimes
Hate to say it, but Adam Lambert could potentially be the best rock vocalist in the game right now. Plant meets Rose meets Mercury.
Axxxxel, we are still in touch with Hakunamatata. She came to New York for the MSG show and we finally met her in person. She is absolutely adorable!
Hi Cait….That instagram just looks grumpy to me. Or a creepy clown. Guess he was up at 5AM! Maybe that was it.
rs…loved your post on the previous page about your experiences at the shows.
Oh I see the Frankfurt thread is up. Will be going back & forth with that one. Will bring over the trucks, AL unless you’ve already done that! Love them trucks!
luval hm dont know i opened that image and thought “Wow now thats the mood to get Frankfurt on a QAL high alright!” lol

Hi guys, popping in before many Saturday errands to run, will be missing the show, but will most def be catching up later.
Cait, I just love reliving the experience of becoming an Adam addict through your posts.
When Adam first popped up on Idol ( He had me at Mama ) I had several work friends who were Idol fans and who became instant fans of the man. We Berted and Idoled ourselves a lot at work. To the point where we were afraid of getting disciplined for being inappropriate or wasting company time.
LOL, one time I wanted to share the Detail Magazing pics with a co-worker, and they were soooo beautiful, and a manager walked past, and that was the split second that the pic of him at the models breast was on screen, I had never seen it, we had never seen it, and crap, a manager saw it at the same moment we did!! I thought I would get fired, I thought I would get written up for viewing porn on a work computer!! Luckily, she just laughed and told us to get back to work. Whew. We got a great laugh out of that for a couple of years!!
However, I learned to keep most of my Berting quieter after that.
None of those work-Berts were into it as deeply as I was, dammit.
So, then, the Idol tour came to my hometown.( Because of Gokey. Can’t stand him, but, I got to meet Adam–twice–because of him). I wrote about it on our special thread for how we became Glamberts. However, while at the barricades in the afternoon before the show, I met a lady who was deeeeeep into Adam, and we had a great lengthy conversation about websites, MJ’s, and videos online. I have seen her at area Adam related things, and guys, if most of us are 29, well, let’s just say, she’s 59. LOL.Jojosie and Riskylady, you both are spring chickens. She said Adam made her feel things she hadn’t felt in years. LOLOLOLOL
Cait, welcome. Welcome welcome.
I simply cannot de-cloak and refer my new Glambert friends at work here. I would have to censor myself. I send them links to vids and many pics. All three of them say at times that they have already seen some of the stuff I send them. I’m so proud. I’m a mama. No labor pains and no morning sickness, just glitz, glam and an inhumanly talented entertainer.
I’m in “camp fierce” for the latest instagram. I sort of remember him posing in a similar way some years ago. Oops, can’t seem to post the link, it’s the one where with emo hair and his hands up in “pretend” claws by his face, which has a similar look! Maybe this time?
http://thenetworth.net/adam-lambert-net-worth/
Welcome to Cait! I’m mostly a lurker here too, but it’s great to read your comments, you add such a fun voice to this wonderful site!
We (ALL admin) got a nice email from a gentleman (Klaas) who had been to the recent Q+AL Amsterdam concert, a concert at the Hammersmith Apollo and also at GlamNation in Amsterdam. He provided links to his photos to those concerts to share with everyone here.
I will post them on their appropriate concert threads but here they are too:
Q+AL Amsterdam
Q+AL Hammersmith
GlamNation Amsterdam
Thanks Klaas!
Wow awesome pics!!! Thank you!

LadyNorth I visit the Queenonline.com Forum after our short discussion about Queen Forum etc.
Man, its like a almost war in there. Why do they do it? Its like kicking Freddies legacy in the ass. It makes me really really sad as a Queen Fan seeing something like that. Its horrible
Very interesting. Brian’s guitars on tour!!

Lovely pics! wow!
I didn’t get ill from that pic Adam posted, like all the comments did, but he obviously is…
ADAM LAMBERT @adamlambert · 2h 2 hours ago
Thanks for the well wishes guys! Send me some healing energy, I’ll drink a ton of water and sleep! Sound like a plan?
I kind of agree cait……we went to see Kylie Minogues Aphrodite tour a few years back….she had so many dancers, huge costumes, backup dancers etc that she totally got lost in it all. I enjoyed it, it was fun, but as a ‘theatre show’ not as a concert…
HK exactly. If I wanted to see a theatre show I would go to the theatre. I mean a good concert is also a good show but balanced with the music. If I go to a rock concert I dont want to have any or too many dancers around the stage. The stage needs to rocked by the musician and not dancers
He started following SNL.
The only exception to this would be Gaga. Her Monster Ball was epic.IMHO.
Also, Pink and her dancers and flying are incredible.
However, I did rather enjoy Terrance and Sasha on GN. Quite a bit.
I’m thinking of our dear Oksana, with whom I traded chicken soup recipes when Adam was sick on GN.
I liked Adams dancers on the GNT tour too Mils….because they weren’t in your face, didn’t take over the whole stage, and weren’t used all the time…there needs to be a balance.
Keeping all my whatsis crossed. QAL. SNL. QAL SNL.
Or.
Original High. SNL. And a skit. Original High. SNL. Skit.
Kumbaya time. Everybody hold hands and chant.
SNL SNL SNL SNL…..
Oh Mils you just crack me up and I miss Oksana and Dhunken so much. There was a memorial vid yesterday for Gale Chester the uber glambert that passed away over a year ago. Very touching. He was so nice too. I wish they could have witnessed Adam the rock star. I guess they are seeing him from up above.
I got your hand mils…
SNL SNL SNL SNL SNL SNL…
But I do hope it would be for his music. And skits!
HK fan:
I didn’t get ‘ill’ either from that pic that he posted – rather that he was feeling ‘fierce’.
Now I see that he was ill, the poor wee soul . I somehow feel responsible as only yesterday I was thinking how great it was that, with all the people that he’s been mingling with the last few weeks, he’s managed to stay healthy. Grrrr, me and my big mouth ! Even so, he still must have been taking really good care of himself to have avoided succumbing to anything before now.
It’s lovely to see how the guys take care of and cover for each other – I hope he can find a backup band with similar capability and loyalty for his solo career. I wish he had another day to recover, there’s only 16 hours left ’til the next concert!
Love this tweet!
Ohh, angel, you are so funny. What your dear Scottish soul has is a serious case of Jewish guilt, a “kinehora” where you dare not say anything too positive, or boast or brag, because it will invoke the “evil eye.”
In my Eastern European heritage , if you dare say out loud ” You know I haven’t been sick for a long time.” Or, ” my son got a scholarship.” Or, ‘My daughter just met a VERY nice man…” You simply must say “Kinehora.” And like the Greeks did in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you also spit three times.
My mom, and a lot of mothers I know, say ” kinehora poo poo poo” while holding the lapel of their shirt out a bit out, so as to spit on their shirt. They don’t actually spit, but the “p” on “Poo” is rather pronounced.
The Hamsa that rs and I love so much, is also a Middle Eastern ward against the evil eye. Much like the Eye of Horus.
Okay, lesson over, but, LOL angel, you are so sweet and funny.

This just popped up on twitter – remember this wild FYE?

But I’ve seen it now. Holy Moly.
Loved that FYE! Holy, Moly is right, mils! Thanks, ulti! I know little dutchess saw that performance in person. I was dying to go and combine it with a family trip but couldn’t swing it. LOVED his hair in this video – so full and free – check it out luval – I know you approve!
