What a January – rave reviews for the concerts in UK and Europe; news about a new label, single and record; and of course, his 33rd birthday! Looks like February will just be Queen and Adam as they tour all month long wrapping up in Sheffield on the 27th. Adam won’t have any time to relax though because it will probably be single and album promotion in March and beyond. Can’t wait to hear the new single!

    So, in the afterglow of listening to the stream from today at Wembley, here’s my dork story of the day to bring me back down to earth:

    I got my surprise package in the mail yesterday from jlurks ( thanks again and again, you sweet generous man ) and I quickly took one of the discs out to my car to listen to while driving on my hour long commute to work. Consciously not going to listen to Elvis Duran this morning, was going to dedicate myself to Adam and the BBC show.

    I know, I know, big sacrifice, LOL, not listening to a phone tap and Elvis exhorting people to be kind to each other and then Greg T. roasting his ass on a grill or some such nonsense, OR listen to our guy and have an ear and body massage instead…it was a hard decision, but, when the hard decisions must be made, Adam is always up for the hard work. ** cough**

    So, I happily put my new CD in the disc drive, and it just wouldn’t work. I’m pushing buttons in traffic, and no audio, disk not reading, etc, etc.

    So, I silently cursed jlurks, sorry honey, I blamed you.

    I reluctantly switched on Elvis, and just in time, Bethany was lamenting her dating experiences. Oh goody. Real high brow stuff.

    I forgot all about the facking CD.

    I went to work. And after work, in the parking lot, tried the CD again. And again, curses to jlurks, it didn’t work.

    I took it. I looked at it. I groaned. I groaned some more. I said out loud, OUT LOUD, to nobody there, oh mah gawd .

    It was the DVD. No shit. I’m that dumb.

    Jlurks, you rule, you are unreal, you sent both a CD and a DVD and I was too dumb and stupid to sort that out in the first place.

    So, tomorrow morning, my commute will be ever so much better.

    cait and skaschep, it’s not mandatory to donate to be a member so don’t worry. Eywflyer and most of us prefer donations so the site is not dependent on advertisements to keep it going. Other blog sites do. This way it’s nice and clear with no ads popping up and interrupting our flailing. Maybe you might have noticed that about this blog. Big Smile

    Monte deserves whatever flak he gets from whoever dishes it out. He sold Adam out and very much affected Era-2 releases.

    But I agree he had to be drunk, he also said someone threw a can at him at the show, he said it was for standing up.

    3PM local for the Brit awards – wonder if they are streaming a red carpet. Adam is bound to make a splash. Thanks for the re-visit to his red carpet strut from China, glambotgram. He has changed his look an awful lot since then; so much more stripped down in the make-up and hair department. It will be interesting to see what he does for CD3. He never stays the same for long.

    Axxxel, thanks for that F Word interview. Of course I saw it when it came out, but I loved revisiting it. Adam is so thoughtful and articulate, and I, of course, love what he says about his fans always having his back and protecting him
