After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

Above we see Adam performing at the Hennessy Artistry event on January 4th (photo courtesy of adam-pictures.com).

Adam will become busy during the second half of the month with 7 shows packed into a short time period, so enjoy the chat here and on those concert threads!

I’m looking at the Glee episode as more of a tribute than copycat as the kids are finding their inner diva.
Will have to wait and see how it plays out.

  2. luval says:

Will probably tape Glee tonight. Either that or Project Runway. Will make a last minute decision. I tried to watch Glee that I taped last week and could only make it through about 2/3’s of it. I stopped and deleted.

Hi everyone! Ron, love, love, love, your new “do”. Makes you look even more handsome. Good for you for being brave!
I don’t mind that Adam is pimping Idol. He’s home and has some down time to enjoy the show. My hope is that he already knows he has some role this season after he comes back from tour. Maybe as a mentor to the finalists….
I am NOT watching this year so my only exposure is when someone posts a youtube of an audition. It ALWAYS seems that Niki is doing all the talking. Is that really the case? Seems like Mariah isn’t earning her big bucks if she is just sitting there sipping on a straw.
Happy Birthday to those peeps I missed and to those that have celebrations right around the corner.
Hard to believe it was a week ago today that we were in NY getting ready for the “gala”. Well, for a bunch of peanut gallery occupants we raised tons of moola for the cause.
Krad, hope you post some additional installments over there. I think the little bump on the big bulge distracted folks from asking you for more.

  4. luval says:

    Hi Adamized!

I am so disappointed in Mariah. She is like a lump on a log and acts as dumb as a pole. She’s probably smart and animated in real life but I am shocked at how useless she is on Idol. I would be shocked if they kept her next season.

Idol is on…take a peek, Adamized!

  5. Kradamour says:

Adamized, you were there and don’t need my recap! but always flattering to be asked to run off at the mouth keyboard! and I am planning to do exactly that tomorrow. Yes, we got distracted by the crotch mystery and I have been working on my book!
But ready to get back to the important things and work on my recap again.
Nice to hear that it isn’t too late for it still to be of interest.
    Heh

  6. milwlovesadam says:

Krads, it’s never too late. Please, more!!

Ron, you are simply divine. Did you have your ears lowered? ( That’s what my dad always called a trip to the barbershop).

So many goodies at 24/7 I simply can’t post them all.

Off to Big Bang Theory, Glee and to skim through Idol.

    Laugh

    What’s a barbershop? Confused

No, I had my forehead raised. Smile

    Adamized! Kiss Kiss Love you!

You’re biased though because we made out on Ceddies blanket in Ste.-Agathe. Wink

As far as not watching Idol this season? I absolutely wasn’t going to watch either. It had nothing to do with Adam not getting the Idol job but everything to do with Nicki Minaj sitting on the panel! To my surprise, and I want to say delight, she’s my favorite judge! Keith Urban is a very close second. The other two, especially Mr. Jackson, I don’t pay any attention.

My enthusiasm for Paul Jolley has somewhat diminished but I still like him. Mr. Askew needs to have his … wink to mils … ears lowered – big time! Complete make over and he might be somewhat, maybe a little bit, even kind of cute.

Glad Papa Peachez is gone! Nice attitude. Sarcasm He can’t sing other people’s songs?!?? He’s going to go far in the business.

It’s looking like an interesting season is taking shape.

Just when I thought I was out, they bring me back in! Laugh

(Isn’t that what Al Pacino said in The Godfather? I think so.)

  10. ultimathule says:

Is Glee always that bad? Watched the Diva section (which was on MJs a couple of days ago – guess that was it). Big bore – bailed out after a couple of minutes. Actors with annoying speaking voices.

  11. ultimathule says:

Watched the Idol hour – also known as the Niki Minaj show. A little of that goes a long way – not a fan. Makes some good points now and then but so larded over with nasal, lengthy commentary as to make me look for a sock. Someone should let her know that brevity is still, one hopes, the soul of wit.

I am so delighted that my girl Nikki is finally getting some love!

It might be the editing of these taped shows that favor her in terms of making her look good.

Or, it could simply be that she IS good!

I like the way that she expresses herself when she critiques a contestant and I’ve come to appreciate her opinions and her personality! They ring true and seem valid to me. In spite of appearances, she’s the real deal.

I did have to laugh out loud at her though the first time I watched the show Kradamour. Nicki’s speaking voice is very, very nasal!! She reminds me of Fran Drescher in “The Nanny”. With that, she told someone who’d just finished singing, “I really love the tone of your voice” while she sounded like a bull moose with a head cold … but that’s the way she talks.

  13. Kradamour says:

I know, Ron, and it always makes me chuckle…she is so “herself” and unapologetic about it!
I even listen to her music.
Girl is talented and no one’s fool.
Can’t help but compare her to Rihanna, the other island girl, who seems to take nothing seriously, actually went to court with Chris Brown the other day and left with him, is obsessed with exhibiting herself to the extent allowed by law (nipple ring and all) and never smiles.
Plus that ample substantial butt is a thing of glory. (No wonder Nikki needs wigs to balance it out!)
    Chic

ETA: I just love your new “do”. Every time I see your avi I think I like it more.

  14. dcglam says:

Mr. Askew needs to have his … wink to mils … ears lowered – big time! Complete make over and he might be somewhat, maybe a little bit, even kind of cute.

I totally agree with you, Ron. I am liking Charlie’s voice and singing style, but he does need a serious makeover like you mentioned. It can be done! I remember how they seemed to work wonders with Clay Aiken’s image during Season 2. He certainly didn’t look the same on the finale as he did during his audition. Wink

I am also surprisingly enjoying Nikki. Although I’m not a fan of her speaking voice, her critiques are often spot on, in my opinion. She is not afraid to speak her mind and say it like it is. I feel she is giving 100% effort to the job unlike a few others on the panel. Wink

I have been working on my book!

  16. ultimathule says:

Peachez didn’t pay attention to the advice – gone – dope.

  17. ultimathule says:

Love the way Charlie looks – strangely beautiful.

  18. Kradamour says:

Peachez (from what I saw of the audition on youtube)was destined to crash and burn. Too young, too full of himself.
His time may come later. (not on Idol, of course, but I suspect he will find a way to be in the limelight. Makes me think of Cheeks. Maybe that is what Adam saw in him.)

    Hey, is there more Husbands?
    Question

  19. mmm222 says:

Well, Adam’s AI pimping worked. I watched it tonight and actually enjoyed it for the first time since Season 8. I really like Nikki as a judge. She’s perceptive and honest without being mean. I also like Keith a lot. Some of the guys had very nice voices. And I said I wasn’t going to watch AI this year…

  20. Kradamour says:

ulti, is there a photo for Charlie?

  21. ultimathule says:

No, Krad – just the unearthly – as I’ve posted elsewhere – pre-Raphaelite look he has at times.

  27. turquoisewaters says:

Yep, I’m still diggin’ Charlie Askew. I think he is one smart cookie and playing this really well. Plays the odd kid, but is fearless and has no confidence issues at all. And comes across much better than Curtis Finch with his humorless ego. I also like Nick a lot. Paul Jolly is on my last nerve. Can’t stand whining.

  28. ultimathule says:

With you, turquoisewaters – also like Jimmy – the cute, blond guy – sort of unassuming – could do well.

And, yes, think there’s a lot going on with Charlie that we don’t see yet.

  29. Ron says:

    Hi asif Kiss

    I like Nick Boddington, too.

I’m really conflicted about this guy on AI Josh/Jada.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMCGIPp_l-s

He talks about androgyny. He’s not androgynous, he’s a flat-out drag queen.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Wink

Don’t you think that Adam can be described as androgynous?

    But society doesn’t accept androgyny.

Let’s talk about androgyny … or maybe not. No, never mind.

I think that Adam has the perfect combination of inherit masculine and feminine traits.

But this guy Jada really irks me and is a whole other story.

    I don’t get irked often.

    Maybe that’s my problem. Laugh

  30. asifclueless says:

    Hi RonKiss

They didn’t show much of Jada so I don’t know much about him.
For me and I think for Adam, too, that Papa Peachez has an androgynous vibe.
Too bad he didn’t make it. I also like Paul Jolley.

For girls, I’d like to see more of Kez Ban.
    Next week then.

    Good Night!

  31. cwm says:

Hi everyone – I’ve been away for the past several days. Never seems like a good time to come in and share sad news amidst all the chit chat here, but I thought I should let y’all know that my dear, wonderful Dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly earlier this week – on Monday afternoon. We knew he had been ill, but we all thought we would have more time and more warning. Ironically, my brothers and I were all planning to meet together at my parents’ house next weekend (a week from now), because Dad wanted to talk through everything with us. But sadly he didn’t last long enough for that visit that he and we were so looking forward to. I’m now at my parents’ house in the LA area with my Mom, dealing with everything. It’s hard and stressful and sad. He was such a wonderful father and husband and a stellar human being. I miss him. And I worry about my Mom.

Please go tell your loved ones how much you love them. That’s one thing I can rest easy about – that he knew how much I loved him and admired and appreciated him. But I wish I could have seen him one more time and been able to say goodbye and “I love you” and “thank you” one more time.

    Cry *tears*

Sorry to post my sadness amidst the cheerful chat, but you all feel like friends. Thanks for understanding.

  32. HK fan says:

aww, such sad news cwm, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. It doesn’t matter what age you are, its never easy to lose a parent.
I know exactly how you feel, I lost my father 6 years ago. I managed to fly back in january to spend a week with him, but leaving at the end of that week was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, knowing that would be the last time I would see him. He died 4 weeks later…

  33. AL says:

cwm, so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to you and your family during this difficult time.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

My father passed away over 20 years ago and whenever I speak with my mother, my last words before I hang up are always “I love you”. It’s not the same as being there with her but she takes solace in hearing my voice and those three small important words.

  34. Ron says:

    Dear cwm

My heartfelt best wishes for you and your family during this difficult time.

    Heart

  35. cwm says:

Thank you, HK fan, AL, and Ron for your kind words and support. I really appreciate it.

    Heart

  36. rs says:

cwm, my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. You are very lucky to have been able to spend time with him during his last months and I know that you will cherish these memories forever. But I know, there is never enough time. Your mother is surrounded by loving children and grandchildren who will give her strength to continue.

  37. glambotgram says:

cwm I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  38. fwachdr says:

Dear cwm, We are all friends here and feel your sadness deeply. My dad died in 1979 at age 65, and I still feel a wave of sadness at times. We can never tell someone enough times how much we love and appreciate them. You know you can always turn here for comfort. Froggie

  39. fwachdr says:

On a lighter note, Ron, I love the new hair…don’t change it!
And…like last year…am not watching Idol (except for clips here) until May or until Adam is on the show. it took two years to realize no one can top Season 8 !!

  40. dcglam says:

Please know how sorry I am for your loss, cwm. May you find both strength and comfort in the love of family and friends. Heart

  41. apal123 says:

CWM I’m so sorry for the loss of your father and you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Losing a parent is so devastating but thankfully you have a loving family to envelop yourself within and to find solace with.

  42. rs says:

Watched this week’s Idol shows back to back this morning and the only contestant that stands out for me is Charlie Askew. He has got the talent, personality, indivuality, and quirkiness that gets me interested and makes me want to see more of him.

  43. TLKC says:

Sorry to hear about your loss cwm. Losing a loved one quickly means that you never get to say a proper good-bye. That is the heardest for those left behind. I hope at least one of your siblings lives in the same city as your mum. The first year is very hard.

Please take care and know that we are thinking of you. Keep us posted. WE ARE FAMILY.

  44. TLKC says:

Makes me think of Cheeks. Maybe that is what Adam saw in him.)

Yes, Krad, and he also looks like an interesting blend of Sauli and Tommy visually. Not surprising that he rang some bells for Adam. Cheeks is the quickest wit on twitter. Did anyone find out who his TV and Broadway exes are?

Thanks for the Glee schedule info luval. Blaine was great on DSMN and the red jacket scene was great. I am on Team Tribute. It was a nice nod to Adam and the Blondes, who must be thrilled at the attention their jacket has gotten.

Still not watching Idol, but I love the re-caps. Sounds as though Nikki is the best of the lot. Hope she stays and R&M leave. Room for Adam and goood company on the panel.

My local radio station advertises on TV and half the singers in their TV ad are judges or former judges: J-Lo, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Nikki Minaj, Mariah. It certainly helps an artist’s profile a lot. Adam Levine was interviewed recently and he said that The Voice helped him a lot because people got to see the person behind the headlines. For most people, still, Adam is just a headline. Even on Season 8, the contestants personalities were kept pretty under-wraps. Most people have no idea how charming and interesting he is.

  45. TLKC says:

Just checked out Jada and I tend to agree with you Ron. I am also annoyed because he says that Pop needs a someone like Prince and Boy George. Well, hell! (Okay so that’s not fair but still…)

Can someone who watched answer a question about this “grip of mo’s”: Were all of the Top 40 “mos'” paraded out this week? Did a section of this week’s competition have the feel of “here are the offbeat in an LGBTQ kind of way”. If it did, I would hope that they march out the country contingent another week etc. Otherwise this is a bit concerning. I do think Nigel’s heart is in the right place but he has put his foot in it a few times on this issue.

  46. turquoisewaters says:

cwm: I am so sorry for your loss. These must be very difficult days you are going through. I can tell how much you loved him. I wish I could give you a hug. Take good care of yourself. Your dad must have been very proud of his daughter.

  47. TLKC says:

Just checked out Charlie and I’m in. Pre-Raphaelite, yes, exactly, ulti. He has an Edward Scissorhands quality about him and he does suggest a young Bowie. A waif with a big voice. Hope he does well. Might watch now.

  48. jlurksacto says:

    Hugs CWM

  49. riskylady says:

cwm, so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is so sad, fortunately you were able to spend quality time with your dad and shared much love. Knowing you the little that I do, I think you will be a huge comfort to your mom and family.

  50. riskylady says:

Ron, you are so absolutely correct about this. I don’t think I have ever seen such a perfect balance.

I think that Adam has the perfect combination of inherit masculine and feminine traits.

Not watching Idol, but I did check a few auditions the other day. So far, the only one I like is Nick Boddington. Heavenly voice! Not sure about Charlie, a little gimmicky. Will have to see if it’s not an act, and more singing prowess demonstrated.
