After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

Interesting. There is a suggestion that the media managers aren’t being honest about the amount of play and pay due to artists. As he says, the internet makes usage transparent.
When asked why no other companies aren’t trying to do the same thing, he says that Kobalt doesn’t have equity stakes in artists, they have percentage stakes. Those who say it’s not profitable are comparing the Kobalt business model to the existing one. The existing one is more profitable at the moment but it is dying.
The reality is the current business model isn’t going to pay that well for much longer. Essentially, you move ahead or you don’t.
Sounds like a win-win for Adam. They only get paid if they earn.

Fun to talk about signs of the zodiac – whether they mean anything or not. Like Ron, my Aquarius daughter is musical, appeared on stage all through college, produced plays, married a professional singer – just a coincidence, I guess, but a great subjection for conversation.
All six have different signs and match them unusually well – Gemini, Virgo, Taurus, Scorpio, and the youngest Libra (scales) – lol, and she’s a lawyer.
Naturally I’m Cancer – goes without saying.

Hi, ulti – I have many times been referred to as the classic Virgo…and I think it is accurate. In the Chinese zodiac, I am a snake person, which is also accurate. (Snake sounds bad to us, but it is actually a desirable Chinese zodiac sign – I understant that Chinese parents sometimes actually try to ensure that they have a snake child.)
I don’t think I believe in the daily horoscope stuff, but I think that the general charact
eristics of a sign often are remarkably accurate. Whether that is just Barnum effect is another question, I guess.

Ulti, here is the definition of Virgo characteristics from a few websites. Most people who know me would say that you could put my first name wherever it says “Virgo” and it would be about right. Pluses and minuses to this. Sometimes I think it would be nice to be more easy-going and less analytical.
Virgos are very intelligent, they have an excellent memory and a highly analytical mind. They also have the ability to probe into a person’s emotions and they can often see into people and detect what their motives are. Virgos are very good at problem solving, this is what they do best. They are confronted with a problem, they will pick apart the pieces and put it together in the proper order.
