After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

Above we see Adam performing at the Hennessy Artistry event on January 4th (photo courtesy of adam-pictures.com).

Adam will become busy during the second half of the month with 7 shows packed into a short time period, so enjoy the chat here and on those concert threads!

Thanks for the twitter party twitlonger! I am happy he’s not gonna go bold Big Smile Some people look cool with bold head, but Adam’s hair is too perfect!

A lot of good comments here re touring and success. I agree too that it took such a long time until sophomore album was out that it takes time to get back to the spotlights. Things go further so quickly these days, sometimes I feel like there’s some artist who is “in fashion” and next year it can be someone else. It’s a hard business. But there’s so much praise of Adam everywhere I can’t believe he would disappear! Which artists sell stadiums in US?

Does anyone know, those radio concerts Adam did last summer a lot, were they promos or did he get paid for them? What I have heard, it’s always risky to do big festivals. Fees of the artists are pretty high and you never know how the tix sell. In Finland we have in summer many music festivals (rock/pop, also classical, jazz etc) which last 2 or 3 days and have dozens of performers, bigger and smaller names. You can buy one-day ticket or whole event, not single performers. They are around the country in large outdoors areas that can hold huge number of people. People travel across the country. If it’s cold and rainy, ex tempore goers stay at home. Is there similar ones in US or Canada, was St Agathe like that? I would be very surprised if Adam doesn’t perform anywhere next summer! He has to have a lot of fans in Canada, and he hasn’t done any concerts there during Trespassing era!

luval, good luck with your Casino Smile

  2. LadyNorth says:

The less we get, the more we treasure it. In that sense, Ste-Agathe was a major moment

Yes TLKC, and that’s what it’s like for the fans outside US, all over the world. People wait to see their artists once in every 2 or 3 years. You have seen the excitement of Adam’s fan bases all over the world during his non-tour. And I am witnessing it here in F now. Months of waiting before the concert, flailing in twitter and facebook, all the planning and preparations re concert. I really think that’s a big part of the fun, all the planning and meeting other fans before, after and during the concert Smile

To go along with our recent discussion of the Beth video, here is a very cute fan-made Beth Adam doll…

I love the story of your daughter’s dream, ulti. What a lovely dream!

Last night I had a dream that Rascal Flatts did a cover of Shady at one of their shows. Haha! So random!

  5. rs says:

I just want to see him sing Underneath live…..and Broken English……..and Runnin……..and Nirvana…….and Trespassing……….and, and, and…but I never saw Broken Open live… Cry . I suppose I shouldn’t complain, I saw Who Wants to live Forever, The Show Must Go On, and the rest of the epic Queen/Adam show, twice, but that is different….

My mother used to say, Thank Goodness for Alexander Graham Bell (I lived far away). I will change it a bit and say, thank Goodness for you-tube.

  6. ultimathule says:

Rascal Flatts? That’s so funny, cwm – turn Shady into a country song? Maybe revenge for ROF? lol

And, yes, rs, I bow down to YT.

  7. ultimathule says:

Adam bought the owl and will hang it in his new home according to AQD.

    Hope no tattoo ideas here.

Here’s a veeery nice, totally gratuitous, mention of Adam and his HUGE audience on The Voice-China. Will surprise the targeted readers for sure LOL!
    http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonchang/2013/02/03/china-are-you-ready-for-a-super-bowl/

And speaking of the Super Bowl, even they have tapped into the genius of Brian May. This is a good listen!

Last but not least, Little Dutchess, so sorry missed your birthday, so hope it was a happy one! And, our menage-a-trois pinky swear (you, me, luval) will bring luck to Adam, I just know it!!!

  9. JOJOSIE says:

Yes, LadyNorth, part of the fun is the planning and meeting up with other fans, before and after the concerts. I was so lucky to be able to attend two shows this last year. Phoenix and Des Moines. Both were possible for me to attend due to the fact that I would be meeting up with fans I had met before and new ones I’d only had e-mail communication with. I hope you have the same luck I’ve had as some of these fans I’d met earlier have become traveling companions and roommates and partiers at futures shows. I for one have never had dreams of Adam in arenas just bigger more prestegius theaters. He’ll have a music career, maybe not as a huge pop star but as a respected singer, actor, performer and human. Yes

  10. josephine says:

“Happy Super Bowl” everyone–Go 49ers!!!!!! Watching with family and instead of my football jersey, am wearing my Adam t-shirt—they expect that from me!!!!! my Dream is Adam at the Grammy Awards singing Underneath on stage all alone—–dream on Yes

  11. ultimathule says:

Does Kelly Clarkson sing in arenas? Would think you’d need a spectacle-type concert to do that – Underwood in arenas? Bieber/Madonna/Gaga/Queen/Muse in arenas? Anyone know what the dividing line is? Daughtry? To sing in an arena wouldn’t Adam need a “show” ??

  12. Miss Chaos says:

Jo, my dream too, altho I would be happy if Adam could perform anything at the Grammys, since the non nominated non singer gets to perform. Its only fair right???

  13. josephine says:

I think the “non singer” is headed down the tubes with his choices he’s making lately–friends, smoking ??, cars and cough medicine? etc….time will tell—– Shock Snicker

  14. milwlovesadam says:

ultimathule: all of those you mentioned have played my town at our “arena”, the Bradley Center ( home of basketball, etc ) here, recently with the exception of the Material Girl.

It is the biggest venue in the state. The next smaller is an arena in Madison, the Kohl Center, and then comes our beloved Riverside Theater. We have several venues in town that size, with The Pabst Theater coming closest in seating capacity and grandeur.

The Idols played at the Bradley Center, where I saw and met Adam the first time.

I personally like Adam in a theater setting like the Riverside or the theater in Peoria.

That Grammy photo should come with a warning!!! Jeepers.

  15. milwlovesadam says:

I’m really really really hoping for some one-offs this year while he’s doing other things, like putting out a new CD. I hope it is something I can get to. Like you have said above, part of the whole experience is meeting up with new friends.

    Keeping all my whatsis crossed.

    And the corner ready.

  16. luval says:

Not sure if Kelly Clarkson sings in Arenas (don’t think so) but she did not sell out the local Casino I am always talking about here. The venue holds 5,000 people and I heard it was only about 2/3’s full. And this is when she had her big hit “stronger”. No one in the music business today can sell out much over 3,000 these days IMO. (except Stones, maybe U2 if they ever tour).

  17. ultimathule says:

So Clarkson, then, mils – sings in arenas? From what I’ve seen of YT performances, her concerts don’t look like they’d be in arenas. But her fame and popularity bring the folks in big time?

  18. milwlovesadam says:

Biebs is getting major accolades for his new acoustic CD from Believe. Rolling Stone just gave it 3 stars. But, he is in the news more for his romps with girls and smoking pot. He could crash and burn young if he’s not careful.

  19. milwlovesadam says:

Y’know what? I was wrong about Kelly. But she did just perform here at Summerfest at the Marcus Ampitheater, and did very well Capacity is about 25,000. Daughtry sold that out, and he has played the arena here.
The Marcus Ampitheater has a huge seating capacity, and draws all the major tours every summer. Pretty respectable for my little midwest town, hunh!?
The summer that it opened, I saw: Whitney, Neil Diamond, Paul Simon ( Graceland Tour) , Mellencamp ( Scarecrow Tour ), and…Bowie ( Spider Tour ). What a summer!
All my seats were either first or second row center, thanks to my mom who worked with Ticketron.

  20. luval says:

Who or where exactly would someone contact to book Adam? Anyone know?

  21. rs says:

my Dream is Adam at the Grammy Awards singing Underneath on stage all alone—–dream on

josephine, that was my dream since I first heard that song, and I would imagine it with my eyes closed (except when I was driving, lol) every time I heard it. Then the dream was shattered when the Grammy noms came out. I still dream of seeing him sing it live one day.

  22. milwlovesadam says:

At this point, I’m hoping to hear Runnin’ at one or several of the non-tour Asian shows.

I honestly never imagined that Adam would play arenas in the US. Overseas, for sure.

At the Idol show here, in Gokey-land, the screams for Adam were deafening. He stole Gokey’s hometown thunder and then some. And he was “understated” in deference to Gokey’s family in the front row. I honestly thought at that time that arenas would be possible. But I soon changed my mind.

  23. josephine says:

Also after hearing and experiencing Shady performed by the “Fab” three, wouldn’t that be a Grammy performance!!!! Oh the dreams we have—–will they EVER come true— Dazed

  24. milwlovesadam says:

Y’know guys, dreaming is one thing, but reality is another. Sorry.

Non-nominees with unheard and unsold songs simply don’t get a chance to perform at the Grammy’s. Sad, but true.

I do think he’ll have his chance, someday. But, not with songs we know at this point.

  25. ultimathule says:

I’d prefer a “funkier” type of Grammy performance. The only recent good performance – of any kind – that I remember is Bruno’s “Runaway Baby.” That was spectacular. Would like something that would get the crowd on its feet.

  26. ultimathule says:

Agree, mils – So much for quality.

  27. jlurksacto says:

Read this on Atop. Completely agree.

Stanning Adam (or any artist) should be about having fun and I can’t worry or stress about the things I can’t control.

  28. milwlovesadam says:

Exactly jlurks. Exactly. I’m here for the fun. And sometimes when things get Debbie Downer-ish, we need to bring back the fun. After all, Adam is having more fun than anybody else.

I just truly believe he is on a positive arc. Besides JHud, who else gets more TV and “news” time? More magazines?

Chris Colfer is starting to do fashion spreads too. And, sorry, he’s nowhere near as fabulous as our guy. I do love his voice though, and he can break my heart on Glee.

Next week is the Diva Glee episode. And Smash returns. Yay!!

  29. milwlovesadam says:

Ultimat, I hope Bruno does “Heaven”. Love it. Love him.

  30. ultimathule says:

Easy to say, jlurk – maybe someday.

  31. ultimathule says:

Bruno’s one of the few live performers who can really move when he sings – adds so much to the performance.

  32. milwlovesadam says:

I also love how his whole band also moves. He’s got a great stage presence.

  33. rs says:

Oh, I am not a Debbie Downer, and I am sorry if I came across that way. I think that the Grammy nominators are self destructive idiots who don’t know a good thing when it is dangled in front of their faces, and the same thing goes for the radio stations. They and their listeners are the ones losing out here. Adam, on the other hand, is just getting better and better, is garnering more and more kudos and great respect from his peers and reviewers alike, is having the time of his life, and is surrounded by the most wonderful lover, family, and friends. I have absolutely no fears about his professional success in the future.
Adam has his fabulous career and future, and I have my little private dream.

  34. luval says:

I don’t think any of us should be apologizing ever for a post on how we feel…whether it’s down or happy. I post often as a Debbie Downer and if that’s the way I feel at that moment then that’s the way I feel. I get through it…with the help of many of you. Sometimes I see the light, sometimes I don’t. But I am not going to stop because honestly it makes me feel better just typing my feelings here. No one in my real life understands this Adam thing so I bring it here. Oh well!

  35. milwlovesadam says:

    .

  36. milwlovesadam says:

luval and rs, I agree! Goodness knows, I have brought some down posts here, and started “down” trends. I’m just saying that for me, I am trying hard to be positive about many things in my life, including this site.

I’m sorry if I offended anybody in any way. Not my intent.

  37. milwlovesadam says:

    And.

    Ahem. Clearing throat.

Adam sure was “up” at WAFF.

    ( someday I’ll grow up. When? I hope never…)

  38. luval says:

mils…you really make me chuckle! Don’t ever grow up.

Is anyone watching this season’s RuPaul’s drag race? Tomorrow night is the second episode. Am going to dvr it.

  39. milwlovesadam says:

I DVR’d it too. Haven’t started watching it yet. I used to catch an episode once in a while, but, when Raja was on, I watched every show. It is just so OTT and ridiculous. What can I say? It’s good for sh*ts and giggles.

  40. milwlovesadam says:

The Bowie song is up next on Energy.

Rolling Stone said that the album has a whole different sound than this song. Kind of like our guy with BTIKM. Bowie’s is supposed to have a rock edge. Maybe I’ll end up buying it after all. After all, it IS Bowie.

  41. milwlovesadam says:

This song is growing on me. And like a lot of Bowie, covers are even better. Wonder who’ll cover it? Any suggestions?

  42. luval says:

Thanks for the heads up on the Bowie song. I love, love, love it. So haunting to me. Can’t wait for the album.

Does it seem like Energy does not play much Adam anymore? Guess it couldn’t last forever. Or maybe I just don’t listen at the right times.

  43. milwlovesadam says:

I’ve had it on a lot today while getting things done at home. I love the world music they play. No Adam today, yet.

On a whole different note, dealing with an awful situation here. I think our sewer drain is frozen, it backed up while doing laundry today. ( Calls plumber…)

    And… here’s Shady…

  44. luval says:

    Adam is funny.

    Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert

Thought I’d get some work done. What do u think? Looks natural huh. http://instagr.am/p/VSWwEbuNI4/

  45. milwlovesadam says:

I promise I’m not capable of growing up. TeeHee. Listening to the new Timberlakle song, and all I can think of is his “Dick in a Box” from SNL. Honestly.

  46. milwlovesadam says:

OMG, who remembers which interview that was from? Those lips…

  47. AL says:

It’s from an interview with Sarah Lee of NY’s NOW92.3
Adam Lambert in Studio with Sarah Lee

  48. milwlovesadam says:

Silly me, It’s like an echo chamber here.

I forgot, Superbowl time. Time for me to go shopping…for all you sports fans, have fun.

  49. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks AL. That was Valentine’s Day last year. Can you bring over the pic of them kissing with the lips? Super cute. I’m super jealous.

  50. luval says:
