After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

I knew it was a long shot but I held out for that little bit of hope that Adam/Trespassing would be recognized for a Juno Award which is Canada’s equivalent to the Grammy’s.
It didn’t happen.
It was eligible in only one category: International Album of the Year (sponsored by HMV). All of the categories and nominee’s are otherwise Canadian.
Instead the Juno’s recognized Maroon 5, Mumford & Sons, One Direction, Rod Stewart, and Taylor Swift for that award.
Mr. Bieber received nods for Fan’s Choice, Best Album, Best Artist and Best Pop Album.
It was noted though that a lack of entry for Single of the Year is a big black mark for the “swaggy kid” from Stratford, Ontario.
The only bright spot for me is that k.d. lang is going to be inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame. Perhaps a bit overdue but better late than never and well deserved.
Would anyone be able to explain to me what Adam’s connection is with Clive Davis? Confused at all these different labels. Thanks.

Where’s the smileys?
I’m troubleshooting site slowdown problems currently. This will require temporary deactivation of some plugins (those are components in WordPress that add functions to the site). For example, at the moment I have disabled the smilies which are usually next to the comment box, since that plugin appears to be one of the offenders slowing things down.
I hope to get this fixed asap, but it may be Thursday before things are back to normal due to my work schedule. Hoping I can get tonight’s concert thread posted later on.

Question for everyone’s consideration:
I am still troubleshooting the site slowness problems, but it appears that we may be outgrowing the current level of shared hosting I have. Unlike before on the previous server, there doesn’t seem to be a systematic problem with a bad hosting company. I can upgrade to a higher-powered hosting package, but of course that will increase the monthly cost. Right now my hosting costs about $80 per year, the upgrade I am considering would take this cost to between $250 and $500 per year.
I can afford to do that, but it would mean that I’d be asking for site support donations about once a year. Currently, I have sufficient reserves from the last big round of donations in 2012 that I would not need to ask again anytime soon, but if I upgrade the hosting that will change.
I hate to have to ask for donations more often, but what do you guys think? I definitely don’t want us to continue suffering with this slowness. There are some technical things I can try to speed things up, but at this point I don’t have a great deal of confidence that those will work.

I put my webcam on a tripod, aimed it at my TV screen, and made the video that way. It’s in HD if you adjust the resolution. Definitely need headphones/earbuds for the audio part. It’s perfect in person but audio didn’t record very clearly from my TV to the video.
I thought a couple of you would like to see yourselves in some of the slides that begin the video.
I couldn’t help but let out an audible “Ahhhhh” seeing the SpaWatel Inn again. The dining room table photo, the deck we sat on, the lake, that setting! Just beautiful!
This was a labor of love made by one of the “Fab Five” as they call themselves here in Toronto.

Nekkid, ITA. A weekend I will never, ever forget, and where I met you and Ron and so many others. And the drive with Adamized gave us hours and hours to talk each others’ ears off, and we hadn’t met before, either. And the overnight at the luval B&B and the introduction to Adam Jr., and the stay with ceddies…arriving at Spa Watel and meeting everyone! Ron so sweetly trying to arrange a kir royale for me!…the wonderful dinner…the “night before” concert with nekkid while we scoped out the terrain and chose locations for Adam’s concert, my car troubles and hours at the garage (but let’s forget that part…!)
Sauli going past us down the center aisle, NEW MUSIC, the rainstorm, the “fairy”…sigh of contentment…such a special, special weekend.
