Didn’t see this posted, apparently this is what Adam did as soon as he was settled in the hotel (many noticed and posted this LOL):
Re Map, I always thought it would make a wonderful single here, sort of similar to some of Pink’s and Kelly’s songs. Maybe they will release it as a B side. Should include Can’t Let You Go and By The Rules too. I think By The Rules is better than Locked Out of Heaven (copy of Police song IMHO).
Agree, riskylady – good stuff the public has never heard.
Yep, Map is the song I never get tired of. And Shady. One day in the future when people look back over Adam’s body of work, they will not understand how those did not become hits at the time. IMHO.
AQD has an April/June 2012 article by a Luis Gonzalez in a magazine called Evoke about Adam and Trespassing – don’t remember seeing it before. Guy knows his stuff.
Yes – why don’t they release those in the U.S. as B-sides – great idea.
I’m hoping he puts something like Map in the shows, maybe mashed up with Is This Love/By The Rules.
And, of course, Runnin. Please please please Runnin live. Please. Pretty please.
Liked seeing pics of Keisha exercising. It’s good for both her voice and just her in general.
That mirror image Adam picture is simply gorgeous. Was it from Japan last summer when he was our grey fox?
As to musical tastes, we have talked about this a lot before, but, for me, I listen to music pretty much all day, whenever I can. I listen to many types of music, while driving, while exercising, while reading, I just don’t use an Ipod or earbuds of any kind. I want to preserve my hearing, so that I can enjoy music hopefully until the day I die. Our generation, and younger, is losing their hearing at an unprecedented rate, and it is directly linked to the use of earbuds, earphones and Ipods, there is tons of research out there on it. There is advocacy on hearing loss prevention and education in the music industry and in my profession. In fact, my profession was responsible for assisting in the re-design of earbuds and for setting loudness levels that are “safer” on earphones, in conjunction with OSHA and manufacturers.
So, I use old-fashioned technology to listen to music all day, every day. I probably am still damaging my hearing, just not with in-the-ear music devices. Especially when turned up to 11. But, honestly, some music just needs to be loud. IMHO.
My taste runs from Broadway musical cast albums to Il Divo to Pink and Bruno and our guy to classic rock to blues greats to Prince.
I simply can’t stand Mariah, country ( UGH shivers ), rap and hip-hop. I have a visceral reaction when hearing these genres. I simply have no control over it. It is like a primal response or something. Just like we have a chemical or brain response to Adam’s voice.
I have music running through my head all the time. My husband and sons are music-aholics too. My husband is a big fan of ethereal electronic stuff, like Yanni. Me no-likey, but it helps him relax, which is ultimately good for me, lulz. One of his favorites is a guitar duo, Rodrigo y Gabriela. We have seen them a couple of times, they are quite talented.
This is Rodrigo y Gabriela doing Stairway to Heaven, simply incredible sound from just two acoustic guitars, stick with it, it picks up, and wow:

Agree about damage to ears, mils – I just plug the iPod into the great docking station in the house or into the car system – only time listen to radio is classical. Saturday afternoon at the Opera. Today Rigoletto – not one of my favs.
Wow is right, mils – just incredible – watching those hands move over those instruments!
I believe those particular pics were taken in Australia.

Love love love the Better Than I Know Madness mashup!
mp3 download of Muse/Adam Better Than I Know Madness mashup from the artist’s site.

nkd, I remember he had just finished an interview, and they took him to sit on a nice bench and just take a few pics, we had video of it. And this is the result of him just sitting for a second and posing. Crap. That man is so photogenic and camera ready at all times. It is amazing.
Yep mils, must be why he still makes me weak at the knees!
Yes nkd, and he probably had his sleeves pushed up because the words tattoo was so fresh!
Mils, for those who like classic rock, I heard this on CSI New York and just HAD to find it. It’s a new band called Maudlin Strangers, with a lead singer who has an AMAZING voice!!! Haven’t been able to find out enough about them or who is the lead singer but give it a listen. A LOT like Citizen Vein! This song is killer.

ETA Found him, Jake Hays, here he is with acoustic Crazy. Nice voice, not as good as our BB though. Sounds good with his band, though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZH8vBaPkGLc
Yes, that’s good, thanks. They do sound like Citizen Vein.
I often hear music on shows, and wonder who is doing it. Especially at the end of True Blood episodes. I wonder about those songs. So blues/rock. I’d love to hear more.
Adam’s friends Vintage Trouble are so so so good. They have a blues/rock and roll vibe that I like a lot.
Those Australia pics are just fab. How does he do it? How do those female (and male) interviewers restrain themselves from jumping him???? (Well, there is that one from Vh1 LOL….)
Looks like Adam and the gang are finally getting the “We are Glamily” show on the road. We’ll have threads for all the concerts starting with one tomorrow morning at 5 AM EST. And to get us warmed up check out this week’s crossword because as Adam often says “Here We Go! Here We Go!“
So I got my wish after many weeks of whining. This non tour finally has a name. Things are looking up. Next step…We Are Glamily tour here.
But I agree with ultimathuleAs long as he doesn’t come up with a new Glamily version of Sister Sledge’s hit.
ok…I messed up my block quote in last post!
AL….love it when he says “here we go here we go”!!!!!
Mj’s has a thread on the new name for the tour. A couple of posts say they like the “Anywhere But Here” name better. A almost agree but at any name is better than no name.
Hans Haveron gave this to Adam before he left.

Pretty cool!
Sorry but We Are Glamily doesn’t’ resonate since this “tour” clearly excludes the main base of his Glamily, us. #feelingleftout.
Lol I think this is the first time I listened to Map, it doesn’t really grab me.
I love the double image picture, hot.
Wow, nkd….that key I like! Silver & diamonds.
Glambotgram…a couple of comments over there bring up the same thought about us feeling left out. We were the ones supporting him from day one….and especially the Trespassing album. Guess it wasn’t enough. Doubt if he thought about this and with the We Are Family foundation show not that long ago, it just fit for him or it had a nice ring to it.
I think the word “glamily” was first coined by Fantasy Springs I when they dubbed the reunion before the show as the Glamily reunion.
Another pic of the key:

Beautiful.
I think the foreign sales of Trespassing have been quite better than the US ones, as well as the radio play of the singles. All three BTIKM, NCOE and Trespassing have charted somewhat in a large number of countries, going by all the tweets over the months.
Am I the only one that doesn’t agree with most of this post for the thread at mj’s?
“The continued clamoring for a US tour make no sense in the face of Adams and his pr flacks repeated statements that he isn’t doing it and instead will be working on next album. People also seem to forget that Adam spent 2012 performing all over the us- 4-5 full concerts at casinos and fairs; 8-10 radio concerts; a long radio tour w a oustic performances; charity concerts like waff, cyndi lauper, marylanders for equality; the iheart radio concert, mlb fan cave; tv performances ( divas, idol, gma, ellen, leno, kimmel) So it’s not like there haven’t been plenty of opportunities to see him perform in the us this era”
Radio stops, charity concerts (with 2 songs), tv performances to me were not opportunities to see him. I’ve said this before that many people I know where waiting for the “tour”. It’s totally different. And I am sure Adam thought there would be an official tour.
Guess I’d better get over it. I’d post over there but, well, I can’t.
I got really excited earlier as I read Ultimathule’s post at 12:17 a.m. It was then I noticed the coma before nkd. Oh well that will never happen.
@riskylady…WHich VH1 vid…Can you post it, if you have the link..I must have missed that one.
luval, I think that it was a problem that Adam kept saying that there would be a tour – and peeps saved their pennies to go all out for tour mode, knowing that Stubhub would have to be fed and fed well.
I don’t know if he was led on to believe that a tour would happen, or if he was just hoping against hope that TBTB would change their mind if he said it often enough, or if it had been planned and fell apart when sales were poor.
On this blog, we kept saying to see him when you can, radio show or whatever – but that was a lot easier for some of us who lived near the events, or near enough.
Very disappointing overall, but kinda like everything else in this fandom, we are always living on the edge.
Have to say that what makes it bearable is the friendship of our fellow stans.
Yes, Kradamour You said it!!
Another annoying poll (but I voted LOL!!) Adam is way ahead and you can vote as much as you want.
http://popdust.com/tournaments/popdust-oscars-tournament-vote/
@luval..I voted too…I told myself to stay away, but there is no way I want the other Adam beating our Adam..
Aw…Brian London has as story. Read from the bottom up:Brian London @brianlondon
Ironically “she” (the woman that birthed me) played the piano and sang…how tripped out is that.

We will kick off coverage of the We Are Glamily/Anywhere But Here tour tonight with the Seoul thread. Due to time zone differences and the fact that most of us (including AL and myself) are in North America where the Asian dates will be happening very late at night or early in the morning, most of these threads will receive limited or no real-time updates “up top”. We will try to get the threads updated as soon as possible after the show, once the thread moderator is awake/available.
Once the tour moves to Europe where shows will occur during the midday hours in North America, we may be able to provide a bit more real-time updating.
I have to say that it is very disappointing to accept the lack of any North American tour. I agree with luval that the radio shows, TV appearances, charity events etc were not a great substitute for an actual tour, since most of those events saw Adam perform only a few songs. Really the only full-length North American concerts we saw in this era were Pacific Amphitheater, Fantasy Springs, Winstar, and Phoenix. I feel very fortunate to have made it to two of those (the California dates), plus Wilkes-Barre which was almost a full concert with a 9 song set list.
I’d expect a 12-18 month wait, starting in April, for the next album. Gonna be a long wait with very little news to discuss around here.
Adam in concert – Seoul, South Korea Sunday 7:00PM
5:00AM New York 3:00AM Los Angeles
Concert starts at 7:00PM local time. Event time clock – time in every time zone.
South Korea is New York time + 14 hours.

luval: posted something on your (and my) behalf over there. Too bad Adam probably won’t read it.
That was another great crossword, AL! Many thanks for a pleasant break from the tax return!
eywflyer, you underestimate us! We can discuss ANYTHING and we can find “news” in even the most speculative and ephemeral crumbs!
And I think I would call Wilkes Barre a full concert. (And you were there!)
Oh, Brian….
Read that, turquoisewaters and “liked” it. That’s all I can do there.
lol, kradamour….love it when we can make news out of a crumb!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the tweets resulted in him finding more informaton?
Stranger things have happened.
Wilkes-Barre was a 9 song set list and lasted about 45 minutes if I recall. Call it either an extended radio concert set or a very short full concert.
I guess I should say there will be a lack of any hard news to discuss. Also, and I know many/most of you disagree with me on this point, my belief is that Adam is going to vanish pretty thoroughly from the public eye during this next inter-album period. That can’t be helpful when it comes time to promote the next album, especially given that the promo budget/push from RCA will almost certainly be much smaller for album #3 than it was for Trespassing.
If we want to see another full North American tour, I think that album #3 is going to have to produce at least one hit single at the level of WWFM or better.
luval: Too bad you are relegated to “anonymous liking”. I always love you comments. Maybe its time for a reincarnation.
I count my lucky stars that I went to Wilkes-Barre…
anonymous….hahaha. I knew I was an outsider but……lol
So glad too I went to Wilkes-Barre. It really seemed longer than 45 minutes. There was so much love in the air there with the album debuting at number one that week.
With the music industry in such a big mess it will be very interesting to see what Justin Timberlake’s album sells the first week. Bowie too. Don’t like the JT song at all.
In any event, we will keep the fires burning here. Spring is coming. Adam will keep us entertained in some way. Was thinking about David Cook & how he’s been out of the spotlight for a long time with no hit song or album, yet he still has his legions of fans and makes a living at singing. I think Adam’s fans are even more passionate.
It would be nice for something huge to happen, though.
I’m gonna be a post ho tonight:
Tweet from Adam
I just ranted over there.
BTW, how exactly by naming the tour has he “left us out?”
Hunh?
I always thought that Glamberts were part of the Glamily!! Adam loves us!! Talks about us all the time, appreciates us.
Can’t wait to see him wear that key necklace that he was thrilled to receive. It looks sparkly and still masculine.
Hey mils, I gave you an anonymous like! And Axxxell wants to “like” a hundred thousand times!
We thought we’d be bored before TSP came out. We were soooo wrong. He had photoshoots, interviews, red carpets, and more in between the tour and TSP’s debut. We were not bored at all.
Bisexual? I think there are tons more people who fit that bill in some spectrum of it than anybody could count. Most probably don’t come out about it like the article said. Even Glee is dealing with it this year in various couplings.
Anybody watching “The Following”? Bisexual issue there too.
