After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

As Krads said, Johnny is a hot mess. The only saving grace is that when seeing Adam live, you don’t even notice anyone except our guy. And the audiences in South Africa and Bali loved the whole show. I will be eager for HK’s recap though.

With regard to Runnin’ doubt he’ll sing that one – it is, to me, more of a showpiece with its multitude of layered vocals – difficult to replicate on the road, I would think, unless he changes it considerably – and don’t think that’s what peeps here want. Now Map, Nirvana, By the Rules, even Take Back would be a lot easier.

I think perhaps that Johnny is the female dancer, in Adam’s mind. There is a LOT of contrast in their styles, Terrance and Johnny, and some of it is a masc/fem vibe.

But look at this cover and in the words of Sesame Street, look for the one that is not like the other…down in the left bottom corner, a photo of a smiling dark-haired Adam! So odd in juxtaposition with the other photos…
It’s looking more likely that Adam was with some of the Idol contestants just by chance. One if them, Devin I think his name is tweeted that he just ran into him in the lobby. And actually any of those pics of Adam look like hotel lobby pictures.
But, of course, the question is “what was he doing at their hotel”.

A page or so back, chat was about Adam’s covering “Stay.” Got me thinking about all the covers that Elvis used to do. I sleep with Elvis almost every night. Turn to Sirius Elvis station, set the timer and crawl into bed. Elvis must have covered every popular song of the 60’s and 70’s and most of time, better than the original, just like our Adam. I hear an old song and think, “Adam could sing that one better.” I’m giving my age away, but would love to hear Adam do some Elvis, Roy Orbison, Sam Cooke, Al Green or Aaron Neville.
Firsttimerob… Yes that list has been out but I think some people don’t want to know and would rather be surprised. Personally I don’t care. I already saw who won the Bachelor and Survivor but I will still watch the shows in case the spoilers are wrong.
Galady…I so agree with you about Elvis. I grew up as an Elvis fan, I still think his version of ‘Danny Boy’ is the best I’ve ever heard. What surprises me now as an avid Adam fan, is how deep Elvis’s voice was. I have gotten used to listening to Adam and it has become the norm to me. I am often playing Elvis to other people who have no idea he did more than his hits. I still think my fave all time Elvis song is ‘paralyzed’. Really cute and quirky.
OK I’ll play. I had all the 45s of Elvis, in my basement, when I was (young) and I went down stairs and played them dancing around the basement while they played. The record player was just a turntable that my father set up, the speakers went in the other room down there. I never realized that many many years later that I would love hearing another person that is so much like Elvis. I went to see Elvis in concert when I was 20 something, in Cleveland Ohio, and I was sick as a dog, I kept the ticket for many years. My favorite Elvis song is “Its Now or Never”. I wonder how Adam would sound singing that.

Good story miss Chaos. My favourite Elvis record-player story was going to visit a friend and coming back early because she wasn’t home. (In the days when phones were for emergencies!)I found my “Elvis loathing dad” in the middle of the back lawn, washing the car with my portable record player on a long lead, listening to my Elvis records. He was always one who loved an argument, and had kept up the anti-Elvis stance to encourage ‘debate’….Never again!

I am pretty new at this and had no idea about all the media concerning Idol. When watching season 8 first time watcher I had no idea of all the info written about Adam. If I knew I would of been so bummed to read the mean things that were said. At that time all I did on the computer was write a e-mail. In a way I was blessed I really thought everyone loved him like I did. Hard to believe but it is true.
Yes, the battles were pretty vicious, firsttimerob – even “over there” it’s much calmer now – time and the realization that he’s not going away – and maybe the truth of his incredible talent has finally made inroads.
Oh dear…don’t even go over to 24/7. The comments are mostly that Adam & Sauli have broken up. There is one photo from last night that looks kinda suspicious to me. He is sitting pretty close to someone. But I guess Adam’s personal life is none of my business. I would be sad if it’s true, though.

I had the privilege of seeing Elvis at Reno on one of his finale performances–so sad but was thrilled just to see him “sweat”!!! Adam still does that lip curl just like Elvis that makes me hit the wall—Anyone know what happened to Adam and Elton concert in June?????? Was that just a rumor??

That Anoop cover was beautiful. I was surprised. Was it just a coincidence I wonder? I always liked him but he didn’t have the whole package or the “it” factor. Still doesn’t. But I think he still makes a career in entertainment. Good for him.
