After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

Aha! I have figured it out! Why Adam isn’t getting the recognition he deserves. Because, like people say, when he sings a song, he kills it for everyone else. The music industry players have to protect their own interests and look after the hundreds of just okay singers in their stables. Adam scares them with his perfection!

TLKC, I don’t have flu, I was already diagnosed for BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) two weeks ago. I got some head positioning exercises. They want to do the hearing test to eliminate some other more permanent conditions. I want to be well by March 22nd!
I am feeling quite blue, maybe because this makes me anxious and I haven’t been able to listen to Adam (or other music) for couple of weeks. Or go to my singing course. I am going there now and see what it feels like. Thank you for your support, asif too!

That Keek is a perfect example. I like Rihanna, but her voice really isn’t that good, it’s kind of monotoney and shrill. Her cover of Is This Love is really not good. And her Stay IS emotional, but not really that pleasing to the ear to me. Some voices are just not suited to some songs, like Adele singing “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” Horrible.
I hope he does this and some other more current songs on his non-tour!!! Everyone else does, Kelly and now Kris and others. He needs to stop being so respectful and go for it. Even though he doesn’t think it’s a competition, IT IS! A cutthroat competition, witness the total LACK of praise for him from most other artists.

Haha, ultima, the comments on that article are some of the stupidest I have ever read. I must say, my opinion of the Brits has suffered a lot ever since reading those first ones on Queen’s site.
I don’t think any of this affects Adam, as it happened back in November and December when he was actively performing in China at THEIR invitation, and his interview on the official TV channel just aired in January, so obviously they have tried him out and found him to be OK. He’s really not a “crusader” per se outside his own country, and doesn’t seem inclined to get involved in local issues. Some might think that is cowardly; I just think it is wise commercially.

I am finding it totally amazing at the amount of press Adam is receiving for his 37 seconds snippet of “Stay”. He is being written up everywhere — all positive reviews!
As a matter of fact, I would say that he is receiving more recognition for this brief cover than Rihanna is for her beautiful performance of this song on the Grammy Awards. Hmmm, I wonder how Rihanna feels about this?!?!

Who needs a Grammy when you’re naturally Glammy?
As an American Idol alum, Adam Lambert knows how to make another person’s song his own. In the last year alone, he breathed new life into Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and continued to impress as the replacement frontman for Queen.
Now, he may have gone too far with an incredible cover of Rihanna’s “Stay.” First off, he one-upped the original artist. Secondly, he did so within 24 hours of the video’s official release. Thirdly, he outperformed Rihanna and he’s only posted 37 seconds of his version so far. Pop balladeer throwdown!
In the video above, you can watch Lambert (in a backwards hat!) singing Rihanna’s “Stay” and giving it more emotion in half a minute than she managed in four. Now don’t get me wrong—I’m a fan of the original. But Adam’s singing like he means it in a way that RiRi didn’t. Watch it above and decide for yourself.

dcglam, besides Adam getting mentioned, I’ve seen many on Twitter saying they bought the song because of his tweet. So many artists are covering each other now: Kelly does covers in EVERy concert, current ones, even Carrie Underwood’s latest singles. Kris has started doing it too. And others, can’t remember right now, but I’ve read it. And, what about Pink, putting WWFM on HER greatest hits album – I mean, she has a writing credit on the song, but I’m thinking Max Martin and Schellback wrote most of it, and she only performed it in concert after Adam made it a hit.

I thought Rihanna was stunning last night, gorgeous and her vocal for Stay was haunting and beautiful. I had the show in in another room,loud, and left what I was doing to see who it was that was actually singing at the Grammy’s. Imagine that? Really singing, not auto-tuned crap and over cooked crap and rap.
But, I still would simply love to hear Adam do the whole song. He only let us hear 35 seconds, and we know he sang the whole enchilada.

That’s what I thought too. But man, what is it about Adam??? Heard Rihanna’s and didn’t feel anything. Heard Adam and it immediately melted me and I thought: Oh this is how its supposed to sound. The gritty parts just put it over the top.
I bet all non-Adam fans would laugh this off as conspiracy theory, but you really have to wonder how much money moves to get certain artists on/off the radio. But I also don’t underestimate the stupidity of the masses to not get over the gay thing, especially the male half seems so challenged in this regard.

I was really struck by this particular introduction in this particular venue (with presumably industry peeps in the audience) by this particular person (a friend who has probably also had his own issues with the suits).
I don’t think San would have said anything that Adam didn’t approve, and probably even they wrote the intro together. I really think it was a message to ???. (Maybe just to us, maybe a veiled message to the suits)
Regardless, I thought it was a very unusual intro in that context.
So the boy’s “under pressure,” Krad – gets more and more interesting – what type of pressure? Fascinating.
