adam-hennessey

After wrapping up January with a benefit concert in New York City, Adam will have a couple of weeks off before his international Trespassing tour kicks off on February 17th in Seoul, South Korea. This show will be followed by six concerts in Japan, taking Adam and company up through the end of the month. The tour will continue in March through the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Russia and finally to Helsinki, Finland on March 22. Still no word of any additional concerts beyond March 22, so it appears unlikely at this point that we will see a full Trespassing tour here in North America.

Above we see Adam performing at the Hennessy Artistry event on January 4th (photo courtesy of adam-pictures.com).

Adam will become busy during the second half of the month with 7 shows packed into a short time period, so enjoy the chat here and on those concert threads!

Happy Chinese New Year, especially to all my fellow snakes! (Who by the way cannot possibly be 29. More like 11 or 23 or 35 or 47 or 59 or 71 or 83 or 95.) I’m going with 35, don’t want Adam to be the only one getting older. Laugh

Thanks … mils .. for that P!nk’s video. I was her big fan before Adam came along.
Her “Glitter in the Air” and “Try” are still my fav live performances of hers.

Mine too! Glitter in the Air from the Grammy’s takes my breath away.

  12. ultimathule says:

I’ll bet the music biz in general, like Dr. F, knows he should be on the Grammy list. That he’s not is so damn frustrating. “Like bombs goin’ off in my head.”

  13. dcglam says:

Wow…. Two very underwhelming songs/performances from JB on SNL tonight.

  14. ultimathule says:

What did he sing, dcglam? Guess there’ll be vids eventually.

  15. dcglam says:

Here is the first one, ultimathule — better than the second which I’m still searching for. Wink

    Here is the second song…

    http://www.complex.com/music/2013/02/video-justin-bieber-performs-nothing-like-us-on-saturday-night-live

I was surprised to get two acoustic songs from him, supposedly from his acoustic album — was hoping for something a bit more upbeat.

  17. ultimathule says:

Thanks, dcglam – that was painful – almost feel sorry for him. Guess for his fans, though, none of that matters.

Pretty much all the boys on AI the other night were better. Wonder how JB would fare auditioning.

Gotta go clear out my ears with Adam’s Berlin WWFM.

  18. TLKC says:

Hope you had a good time last night, mils. I am a theatre freak and there are an amazing number of truly incredible singers performing on the stage (not just Broadway.) Had Adam decided not to try out for Idol, some of us might have eventually seen him on Broadway or in a touring company offering up the best voice in the world as part of the chorus.

BTW, Crystal Bowersox is going to play Patsy Cline on Broadway. I would love to see her, even though I’m not a fan of country. She should really rock that. Good luck to her.

IMHO, Broadway is an amazing place and it’s an honour to get a supporting role, let alone a lead. Watching and hoping for the best.

  19. TLKC says:

I’m not familiar with JB’s songs but the first one sounds like a good one, the second not so much. Turned it off before the end. He may not be the best singer in the world but they say he was okay in the comedy sketches. It must be hard waiting and watching for your star to appear on SNL and hoping that he/she doesn’t fall flat on their face.

  20. Calgary says:

I got a bit nostalgic last night and went surfing on youtube for Adam on AI. I found a 2-hour long vid with every one of his performances. I watched the whole thing! Then somehow I got onto Siobhan Magnus who I also loved, and discovered that her dad died a couple of weeks ago at only 51. So sad. There are still little kids at home too.

  21. Ron says:

    Good Morning, Calgary!

I enjoyed Siobhan Magnus very much too but only at the start of the competition. Later on, she went for numerous glory notes during a song that didn’t fit and were simply out of place. She did them just for the sake of doing them. One of her earlier performances though was “House Of The Rising Sun” which I downloaded and have kept. I remember her saying that her father used to sing it to her and she dedicated her performance to him. I’ve very sorry to hear of his passing.

  22. Miss Chaos says:

Siobhan was so good at the beginning, they steered her wrong, Simon was in his downfall. I really was hoping she would win, she was so unique. Sorry about her dad, my Mom died when she was 46, my 9 year sister at the time found her dead on the couch, I was only 20, it was such a shock, I still dont know how we got thru it. She died from drinking.
What a nice thing for Crystal. She will do great. Who says AI isnt relevant, look how many people from the show are going on to things that they never would have gotten if they werent on the show, no one from the other shows have gone on to anything. AI is a great show and needs to stay on no matter what the downers say. Look, they got there World Wide Star, HI ADAM!!

  23. milwlovesadam says:

Biebs sucked big time on SNL. I just skimmed through it on DVR. Simply dreadful, on both the acting and the singing. What a waste of airspace and of my time. Although the writing wasn’t up to par either.

To be honest, I don’t want to see Adam on SNL with writing this bad. The show is suffering without Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig this year. IMO

Is there any video of the Friend thing on Entertainment Tonight, or whichever show he was on?

  24. Ceddies says:

Good morning, guys. I liked Siobhan a lot too. Thanks for posting the link, Ron, but it is blocked in our country. Maybe it is available on another link. Will look for it.

  25. milwlovesadam says:

I’m with you Ron about Siobhan. I liked her at the start, but she ruined it by going for glory notes she couldn’t even dream of hitting. They were pimping her hard on the show too, it just failed. Heard about her dad passing “over there” a couple of weeks back. My mom lost her mother when she was 14. It has colored every single moment of her life. She named her first daughter for her ( me )and it is a quite old-fashioned name. Those of you who know me, you know it. And, no, it’s not Mils!!

  26. Calgary says:

Miss Chaos You gave me an idea. Maybe AI should do a special on “Where are they now?” Would I be the only person watching?

  27. milwlovesadam says:

Calgary, I would watch that. But, I would be afraid that they would focus on the kooks and off-beat auditions rather than on big stars who have made AI proud.

  28. Kradamour says:

Mils, I love your name, and the diminutive is adorable.

My SIL was named for a loved deceased aunt, and it is very unfortunate: Mildred.
    Shock

  29. Ceddies says:

My mom lost her mother when she was 14. It has colored every single moment of her life.

ITA mils. Losing a parent (especially early-on) definitely does things to children. My mom’s mother died when my mom was 8 years old. That left 6 kids for their dad to raise back during the Depression. He never remarried because he said he didn’t want another woman coming in and possibly being mean to his kids. He raised good, generous kids–but there was always a sense of loneliness that was never filled.

Didn’t Siobhan have several younger siblings that she had to look out for? Seems that was her situation as I remember it. I’m sorry for the loss of her father. They were particularly close. Here in this video, she talks about him.

  33. Miss Chaos says:

Krad, my mothers name was Mildred, you dont see that name now. Her sister my Aunt was Wilma, what strange names back then. They gave me the name Charlotte, I was called Charlie, because I was supposed to be a boy. I still hate the name, can you believe that no one can spell it? The kids now adays cant spell, you should see what they write on a Starbucks cup, or when we go to a Restaurant I give them my husbands name, cause I get how to you spell Charlotte. Or I tell them, Charlotte, like Charlottes Web, and I hate spiders, all too funny! Laugh

  34. Ron says:

I’m keeping track of the hours until 8:00pm when I can watch an acclaimed singer and one of my favorites of all time. She won’t be on the Grammy Awards but instead in TCM’s airing of “Hello, Dolly!” This will be my 328th viewing, give or take a few. I’ve bought it in all of its released formats and eagerly await for the Blue-ray version.

With Adam’s exclusion, there isn’t anyone that I care for enough to want to tune in.

I won’t watch a second of the Grammy’s tonight. No

I would bet that Betty White’s 91st Birthday Celebration will be more entertaining.

I hope I don’t sound too bitter. Razz

  35. Ron says:

    Hi Miss Chaos!

I LOVE the name Charlotte! It’s one my favorites! It conjures up happy memories for me. “Charlotte’s Web” and going to the movies with my mother and being fascinated and scared watching Bette Davis in “Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte”. I also LOVE the song “Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte” and hoped it would win best song of the year at the Academy Awards.

My grandmother, my mother’s mother, had an old-fashioned and no longer used name: Alma.

I am trying to listen to the energy radio Adam Lambert countdown and it keeps cutting out Frown It is my computer or are others of you having the same problem? Frustrating

ETA, they just said that there have been reports of slow service, so I guess it isn’t just my computer

  37. Miss Chaos says:

Thanks Ron. My 2 bestie male friends were both named Ron. one I cant find anymore. The other who I took over a barn boarding business for because he was out of town delivering hay and had a brain operation, and now moving to California, I have found him in Canada again.
And while we are on names, I bet no one can beat my maiden name or my mothers maiden name, mind being Baillie, not Bailey, can you imagine going thru life, when they ask your name, and I say Baillie, but have to spell it. And my mothers maiden name-Krejci, lol. And I have said before on here my Grandmothers name was Josephine.

  38. Ceddies says:

Wanh!!! Cry I can’t get to the live broadcast. I can get on their site but not “listen live”. I’m guessing that’s because of number of folks trying to listen. Maybe that will tell them how many folks love Adam.

  39. luval says:

I’m having a problem with Energy too. Maybe the Glamberts crashed it. Smile Keeps cutting out. When I get it back it’s repeating the last song.

  40. rs says:

Ceddies , they just said that they are extremely busy and because of that there are problems. He just said that that we broke their stream but that they love us for it. They have a solution. They will be putting up a recording of the the countdown so that we will be able to hear it later. Does anybody want me to tell you what the order of the countdown has been so far?

  46. rs says:

There was a third single, luval

    1. FYE
    2. WWFM
    3. IIHY

The question is why wasn’t there a 4th single?

  47. luval says:

oh…For some reason I never considered FYE as a single but officially I guess it was.

  48. Kradamour says:

My grandmother’s name was Maude. She hated it. Ironically, she was named for her father, Mordecai, whose real name was Stockett but he hated that, and used his middle name Mordecai and then wanted his daughter to have a version of it.

Stockett is one of my sons’ middle names (they each have two middle names, one for each side of the family) but I didn’t saddle either of them with Mordecai…
