Another month has arrived, the last one before Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! February will hopefully see Adam’s lead single “Better Than I Know Myself” continue to gain airplay and sales. There should be a bump from the music video which is expected early this month. Meanwhile Adam will likely continue working on promo events in preparation for his upcoming album release, which is slated for March 20 here in the US. Perhaps with more promo being done ahead of the album release this time around, the next tour can begin by this summer? Enjoy the chat!

Update 2/4/2012: BTIKM music video was released Thursday night, feel quite certain we’ll be seeing plenty of it on VH1 in the next few weeks!

    luval, hmmmm, I just looked at an online dictionary where one of the definitions and examples is to avoid something or avoid accepting responsibility for something. The sentence example was “She shirked telling him the bad news that night”. I wonder if it had anything to do with his not discussing the “Queen/Adam frontman” rumor any sooner than he did. Wasn’t there some mention somewhere that he should comment and do rumor control if it was a rumor?

    That’s one possibility of what he may have meant (IMO). But then, I started the teeth thing. So what do I know??? Rolls Eyes

    Ceddies…hi…sounds like a good theory to me. I took a peek at Adam’s twitter link. Still load of peeps tweeting “Adam to tour with Queen” and things like that. They must not read the updates. It really gets annoying there.

    Hey I got another idea. Question, are we (his fans) doing what we should be doing to get the video/song to the top? He may be saying that he has done the song, is out promoting the song/album, and we need to do whatever it takes to get the job done–getting him to #1.

    Oh, hell, there are a million possibilities. We could guess all day and not come up with the right answer of what he meant.

    This is too much for my brain, especially since I just got out of bed. So, Imma leave it to you guys for a while. Gone for my Cheerios and milk right now.

    luval, the Rollingstone article about Adam singing with Queen quoted him as saying:

    Lambert said he had no intention of replacing Mercury, who died in 1991. “That’s impossible,” he said. “The way I’m choosing to view it is that it’s a great honor and one I’m in no way going to shirk.” Lambert’s second solo album, Trespassing, is due in March.

    It’s probably Adam’s way of stating that he never said that.

    Just to clarify, I brought that tweet over from the original shirk tweet. I just thought it was funny since I am sure Neil can afford his own couch. Smile

    I interpreted Adam’s tweet to be exactly that. IMO he’s telling us that he doesn’t use the word “shirk” and he didn’t say the quote attributed to him. Now I do believe that he will not say “no” to Queen, but he is letting us know that the article written in the Daily Star is misquoting him.

    I see Adam and Tommy have some real spikey hair going on, Maybe its time to come home and get a hair cut, LOL.
    I see the VEVO BTIKM viewings are well over 400,000. And thats just in one day. I found it finally on UTube for my TV, watched it a few times this morning. Everytime I watch it I see something different. I hope he can pass some of the stupid videos on there, cant wait for a count down. If it is up for vote next week on VH1 I hope it goes to Number 1 fast lol.

    From all accounts, it sounds as if he really made an impression on those attending. I hope they all know how fortunate they were in getting access to such an intimate performance.

    I think Adam was telling us that he did not say what the Daily Mail article (the source of all the rumors) said he said. Don’t think “shirk” would be Adam’s way of describing the situation. JMHO.
    Have to wonder about the press of the world taking Daily Mail as a serious source of information. But then, they take PH too, so……
    I’m not sure about the Queen thing being good for the video. It couldn’t have come at a worse time, and 6 pages of articles worldwide about it overshadowed the 5 or 6 articles about the new video. Don’t like. Hope they catch up with the truth soon, not like with the Finland thing. Then they can get back to the real news about the video. Hope the local Sony/RCA’s are doing their jobs!

    The Queen rumor was in so many different publications yesterday, it was crazy! I do think it brought attention to Adam, and being associated with Queen is not a bad thing. No Queen-gate!
    That’s attention Adam and the video would not be getting otherwise. I just don’t think it’s hurting. Sure, the focus isn’t on BTIKM, but at least people are taking notice!

    I don’t either. Many of those publications would never write about the BTIKM video, but they write about Queen/Adam because they Queen is such a household name.
    –As I am writing this, my cat trespasses straight over my keyboard and steps on a stack of papers, causing the ipod underneath the stack to start playing “Trespassing”. I was baffled for a second where that came from.

    My take on Shirk-gate is that Adam is telling off the people , journalists, whoever, that they have shirked their professional responsibilities in spreading the rumor.

    This may be a dumb question, but as you know, I know dot about downloading music from the interweb. So – is it possible for peeps to make an mp3 of BTIKM off the video – in essence stealing the song – so that they don’t have to buy it?
