Another month has arrived, the last one before Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! February will hopefully see Adam’s lead single “Better Than I Know Myself” continue to gain airplay and sales. There should be a bump from the music video which is expected early this month. Meanwhile Adam will likely continue working on promo events in preparation for his upcoming album release, which is slated for March 20 here in the US. Perhaps with more promo being done ahead of the album release this time around, the next tour can begin by this summer? Enjoy the chat!

Update 2/4/2012: BTIKM music video was released Thursday night, feel quite certain we’ll be seeing plenty of it on VH1 in the next few weeks!

So happy for the adds for BTIKM. I think we all can get a bit impatient, and it’s no wonder with all the naysayers calling a single dead before letting it run its course. There just seems to be a bit of a delay between doing a promotion and the adds coming in. The radio people might have to wait until the suits have their next meeting. I have no idea how adds happen in reality. Do any of you know?

This is assesment of Adam voice by one of the bloggers (I save such a jewels of stupidity for my future enjoyment)

And finally, Adam has terrible singing technique that will eventually kill his voice. He has no breath control, no ability to inject vocal variety, no staying power. He sings like an amateur. I’ve sung for over 30 years now, everything from rock to opera and I still take lessons from an opera master. He could benefit from a few years of lessons. I’m surprised the AI coaches didn’t correct his glaring flaws. There’s a reason he cannot do more than 55 minute sets and it all goes back to improper technique.

There is nothing like an opinion of an expert…

I would imagine that Adam does work with a vocal coach. I remember him doing warm ups in front of a person on the tour. He’d be foolish not to. As far as his talent, breath control, etc. I’ll take Queen’s endorsement before I would listen to the person you “quoted”.

I used to go to mjs and read a lot there. I can’t do it any more. And it’s for all the reasons you stated in your post. Life is too short to be around negative people. And that’s the reason I love this place.

Miss Chaos: I had the same thought. I can’t wait for a funky second single. However, I think it is much better when the second single comes out on the heels of a successful first single. So as long as BTIKM is still moving up, they will probably wait.I don’t think there is anything wrong with having two singles out simultaneously, the second one entering when the first one has passed its high point.

LOL! I just can’t wait to hear all of the songs on the whole album! I’m happy with BTIKM sticking around as long as possible so that Adam’s able to release more singles and so the whole album cycle is drawn out at looooonnnng as possible. With as much as a perfectionist as Adam is, it’ll be quite awhile before we get an Album #3 regardless of how Trespassing does, so I’m all for this one being milked as thoroughly as possible!

When I’m at my computer for my work I have no problem searching out the news and bringing it back here. If you like that I will continue. I don’t want to create any overload or be post ho. I enjoy this place so much and love reading all your comments and the news you find. I don’t want to change the environment here.

Hi asif and good morning everyone! Thanks for supplying the Hollywood Reporter Link and photo, asif. Interesting HR chose to use Adam’s photo instead of one of the others.

Shall we start speculating what Adam is going to sing?

Mr. Durbin will probably want to make his entrance being shot out of a cannon and then set himself on fire while Mr. Daughtry will do his usual up tempo rock number … and I’ll add … to what I’m sure will be great effect.

Adam should therefore sit himself on a stool in a spotlight and perform the plaintive and haunting “Outlaws Of Love”.

Except for Daughtry rocking the room, I know none of the above will happen but I do think Adam should go for the quiet ballad. Maybe an acoustic BTIKM? No, that’s not going to happen either.

I think I may have misunderstood this whole thing. I thought they are all going to appear on the same show … the finale. Are they going to perform on separate shows? If that’s the case, Adam doesn’t have to check with me and he can sing any song he wants.

Hi asif and good morning everyone! Thanks for supplying the Hollywood Reporter Link and photo, asif. Interesting HR chose to use Adam's photo instead of one of the others. Shall we start speculating what Adam is going to sing? :-)) Mr. Durbin will probably want to make his entrance being shot out of a cannon and then set himself on fire while Mr. Daughtry will do his usual up tempo rock number ... and I'll add ... to what I'm sure will be great effect. Adam should therefore sit himself on a stool in a spotlight and perform the plaintive and haunting "Outlaws Of Love". Except for Daughtry rocking the room, I know none of the above will happen but I do think Adam should go for the quiet ballad. Maybe an acoustic BTIKM?
