Another month has arrived, the last one before Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! February will hopefully see Adam’s lead single “Better Than I Know Myself” continue to gain airplay and sales. There should be a bump from the music video which is expected early this month. Meanwhile Adam will likely continue working on promo events in preparation for his upcoming album release, which is slated for March 20 here in the US. Perhaps with more promo being done ahead of the album release this time around, the next tour can begin by this summer? Enjoy the chat!

Update 2/4/2012: BTIKM music video was released Thursday night, feel quite certain we’ll be seeing plenty of it on VH1 in the next few weeks!

As rainbowgal4 mentioned, BTIKM has gotten a bunch of adds already this morning (6 Hot AC and one AC so far)! Looks like Cumulus has decided to add it as these are all Cumulus stations. Only 31 of the 91 Hot AC stations on the panel have reported, so we will likely see more adds later today. It appears that these adds are the actual source for the spin increase we have seen the past few days, rather than “syndicated” spins on a weekend radio show.

BTIKM even got one add on a AC station (WARM York PA), which is the first add it has received in that format.

Elton John is one of the artists I was flailing over as a teenager. I loved, loved, loved Yellow Brick Road – the song as well as the LP. Loved it so much, I bought it in “piano music” form and played all of the songs on my piano (when Mom wasn’t listening, I played a mean “Funeral for a Friend” rather than the Bach I was supposed to be practicing ). A friend and I flew to Vegas a few years back to see Elton perform at Caesars Palace – he’s such a legend, his two-hour show wasn’t even long enough for him to play all of the songs he’s famous for. I’m still pouting that he didn’t perform “Your Song”

And finally, could Katy Perry be anymore precious? I just love her – especially when she’s with Adam!

Hopefully these Cumulus adds will send it at least into the Hot AC airplay Top 20 and help track download numbers as well.

Queen are set to play a series of shows later this year. American Idol star Adam Lambert will front the performances, in place of the late Freddie Mercury.

Adam took part in the eighth season of the TV singing contest, coming in second place behind Kris Allen. The show aired in 2009 and as soon as Brian saw Adam he knew he wanted to work with him.

‘It’s very exciting, we are touring with a young man called Adam Lambert so it will be very different and new,’ he told BBC Radio 1. ‘Adam has made a sensation really and has an incredible voice. I was instantly drawn to him, I tuned in and watched. We went over for the final, they were both great but Adam has this incredible range. Freddie would be pretty amazed.’
