Along the lines of what luval said, I’m thinking at the end Dark Adam will look at Light Adam in the mirror and their faces will be superimposed together, and then fuse together somehow into a complete whole.
Although I do rather like justshootme’s (at MJs) choice for an ending!

This guy works at MTV and just viewed the whole video. He called it “very artistic.”
I almost kind of agree with the MTV guy. Although obviously I haven’t seen it, it will probably not be anything unusual or mind-blowing…which is fine with me. I hope it will just be a nice video and will go to number one on VH1.

Wasn’t it nice to see Twitch and Sasha in that “Trespassing to Hip Hop” video? They are spectacular. I would go see them anytime.
ok…thought about the video again & read more posts on mj’s. I’m leaning more to the light room being a “padded” cell with bars on the window. A prison of sorts. Maybe he committed a crime…of love!!! Anyway, he looks in that mirror and sees himself…the fierce Adam…and wants to be him. So he jumps through the mirror, becomes fierce for a bit, but doesn’t feel right so he goes back to the safety of the light room.

Interesting, Calgary. I agree with him, though, that Adam is definitely polarizing. I think Adam will have a hard time winning over the committed “anti’s” but there is a vast sea of untouched potential fans out there who haven’t given Adam a first or second thought… yet.
ETA: loveroftalent – while I agree that Adam is very sweet and supremely talented, I also think he is polarizing and always has been since Idol. He’s fearless, he’s dramatic/flamboyant/showy, he’s androgynous, he’s gay and not the least bit shy about it, he pushes boundaries, he’s sexual, etc. While we appreciate/embrace/adore all of these things about him, they definitely make some people uncomfortable.

I think alot of the time they are just using the word polarizing as just another word for gay…
Better polarizing than being ignored. Means people care and are aware of him.
Agree with cwm – Adam’s bluntly gay and doesn’t hide the fact that he’s sexual. Definitely problematic for some people.

@ultimathuleI know it’s better than being ignored but some use that word to hate on him…I guess I just don’t understand what it is about him that brings out the hate. I think it just all comes down to him being gay and I don’t think gay is polarizing though…

I actually retweeted Jeffrey and asked what he meant by “polarizing” and he said – he’s the type that people either love or hate… And it’s probably for the reasons you have all mentioned. If the media would just leave the gay thing alone he might get more mainstream acceptance. But at the same time, he’s adding twitter followers like mad. I think he really is an international star – Europeans, Aussies and Kiwis seem to be much more open-minded.

In a way I think that is actually progress. Homophobia should become taboo the way racism has become taboo. Does not mean it does not exist anymore, but at least it is less and less acceptable to display it openly.

Love the way you all think through an issue. I was thinking the other day while listening to a tv personality (can’t remember who) talking about raising money for a charity. In the same sentence in which he is talking about something very generous and kind he made a joke about something being “gay”. I was appalled and realized what a long way we have to go. Hopefully people will soon recognize the cruelty of using the term gay in a derogatory manner.
Adam is loved by so many people all over the world. He also is a visual performer. Sales of his music will be boosted by his live performances, his videos, the release of his music in other countries, and his touring. All good for us!

Great article, Calgary! My favorite sentence is “It notably includes an attitude of indifference to having one’s sexual orientation misread.” I definitely see this change in a good part of the teen generation, although some subgroups seem to cling to old stereotypes more than others.
