It’s the last month of 2017 and it finds Adam continuing the NOTW tour with Queen. The tour ends on December 15th after 26 dates. That makes 52 shows this year as they played North America, Eu and the UK. Everyone will probably enjoy some down time as the holidays approach before gearing up for a few more shows in 2018.

Certainly he’s a throwback to when talent counted for something and great performers were truly great.
I think this era just isn’t in tune with him. And I think it’s too bad, because his influence is really very positive.

I have immense love & respect for both sides for the way they’ve handled their collaboration, doubters & all.
Their mutual respect for one another *makes* their performances as much as their complementary talents do. ♥
IMO @adamlambert tends to outshine and/or elevate his performing partners, but obviously neither of these is an issue when he’s with Queen.
If only I had the guts to chunk it all, I’d buy an RV and follow @adamlambert from show to show until the money ran out. A few years of nothing but him and road solitude might get me out of the funk I’m in … ?

So Adam had posted an Instagram clip of his BoRhap about the same time QueenOfficial posted one on Instagram of the original video. I had been comparing the # of views – Queen’s is up to 66.6k, while Adam’s was zipping along right next to the one of WWFM (has over 90k now) and was over 88k when he deleted it yesterday! Don’t know why?!?!? It was quite beautiful.

I’m loving all the recent stellar reviews of the QAL concerts. It’s so gratifying to see music reviewers and Queen fans who really get it and appreciate Adam’s genius for what it is. It’s too bad he’s not getting the recognition he deserves in his own country, but at least he’s getting it elsewhere.
I’m not surprised that they dropped WWFM from the set list when they got to the UK. I didn’t understand at first why they replaced Two Fux with WWFM when the tour got to Europe. I didn’t think it fit but clearly QAL knows their audience better than I do. There were plenty of Adam fans at the European shows and they loved WWFM. Brian also managed to jazz it up a little during the guitar solo. Still, I didn’t think it would go over well with the hard core Queen fans in the UK and predicted that they would drop it. I’m happy to see that I was right. Again, QAL shows that they know their audience.
Hadn’t given the disappearance of WWFM much thought, mmm222, but what you say makes a lot of sense. As far as fitting in, feel TF was better in that regard than either WWFM or GT, but really don’t miss any of them –

Well, I thought Ghost Town was beyond incredible, given the Brian/Roger royal treatment. And the Rock in Rio crowd went nuts for it.
As for current music, Adam is unknown, except for WWFM and GT.
I’m hoping his gold cape makes it to Rolling Stone.Even People. Or Page Six.

mils– I agree. The Rock in Rio version of Ghosttown was incredible, especially Brian and Roger’s bad ass take on the instrumental verses. It was a good show of support for Adam’s solo career and its altered rock version fit in well with the rest of the set list. Also, the song was current and, I believe, charted well in Latin America. I can’t say most of this about WWFM, but it was well received at the European shows. It will be interesting to see if they add any of Adam’s songs to the set list in Australia and New Zealand. Maybe they’ll even do one of Adam’s songs from the 4th album.
I’m getting more and more excited about the London shows as the dates approach. I’m expecting Brian, Roger, and Adam to go all out for the hometown crowd. I also can’t wait to see the reaction of the local audience to their rock gods. We’ll keep you posted!
