    I purchased a couple of the remixes from the EP.
    Are we supposed to buy singles on this one?
    I don’t really care for most of the remixes.
    The Gorex one isn’t too annoying.

    Well, luval – have to admit when watching GC I skip over Leona to the end with Adam – not that I don’t like her – I do – it’s just that I would have preferred Adam’s singing the song solo – that beautiful first section – so simple and utterly gorgeous – to continue throughout until the emotion coming through at the end – but, of course, it’s made a tremendous impact in this version – so all good –

    Awww thanks for the additional very sweet birthday wishes asif, rs, adamized, cait, cher, ulti, and HK fan!

    Heading to the airport in a couple of hours to fly to Las Vegas for Saturday night’s show. So excited!

    It’s funny, remember how I said a couple of pages back that I was regretting not getting a M&G?

    Well, I finally emailed the venue and asked them if they had any VIP/M&G packages left by any chance, and she wrote me back saying that they did indeed have just two packages left!

    For $700 each! $700!!

    Oy.

    I even talked to my husband about whether or not I should do it. He smiled and shook his head and said, “I’ll pass, but if you want to do it, it’s your birthday. And I’ll only make fun of you a little bit.” He’s such a sweetheart.

    Well, I slept on it, and finally decided that I couldn’t justify spending another $700 on this adventure for 1 minute (if that) with Adam after waiting for probably 2-3 hours, instead of being with my husband, on my birthday celebration night in Las Vegas.

    But, haha, I did write her back today and ask if she might possibly come down in price so that we could both go together – since we already had our tickets and it was the day before the show, I was hoping I could bargain her way down in price. She wrote back that she could drop the price to $625 each but that was as low as she could go. Alas, I passed on the opportunity, but I feel ok about it. I’m glad that I at least inquired!

    As adamized said, I’ll keep my eyes open in the hotel, and maybe we’ll end up in the elevator with Adam! Wink

    By the way, while I was emailing the venue gal, I asked her about the sets, and she said that Adam will be on at 8:00 – 8:45pm, and Rob Thomas will be on at 9:00 – 10:00pm.

    Retjenny and Glitterpatti, perhaps I’ll see you there! I know that tchrsd is going to be there as well.

    cwm, you have your priorities in the right place! Besides, no M&G could beat the time you bumped into Adam at the airport. I will keep my fingers crossed for another spontaneous meetingFingers Crossed .

    Miss Chaos, I can’t answer your question, but I should clarify that the package included a seat in a special VIP section on the 2nd level (we already have better seats than that), and required attendance for the whole time at a 2-hour private party with open bar and appetizers prior to the show (meh by myself), in addition to the M&G with one or both artists (the only aspect of it I wanted). It was tempting but… just not the right fit for me this time.

    I’m sure some M&Gs cost a lot more ($1000 or more); it probably depends a lot on who the artist is and what else is included. Apparently Demi Lovato had some kind of backstage visit with her for $10,000 (that didn’t even include a concert ticket!), which is utterly ridiculous.

    I’ll be super curious to hear about the packages and experiences of our fellow ALLers who have M&Gs next week!

    Regarding the question about the VIP tickets at the Wilkes-Barre concert…they were only $100 for VIP seats, a preconcert reception with a buffet and a photo with Adam. There were also VIP tickets for Rachel Platten and Echosmith for the same price. Such a deal, especially compared with the highway robbery VIP tickets in Las Vegas. The discrepancy is amazing. I wonder how much of this money Adam gets. Clearly he’s not setting the prices.
