    @adamlambert I just think it’s a huge *wink wink* to the country music radio industry! A gay man singing a song that is sung BY a straight woman, about a girl crush that ISNT about a lesbian affair, that many of their stations refused to play because of their own homophobic misunderstandings. Hahaha…hope the irony isn’t lost…

    So many twists you almost need to draw up a diagram. Priceless!
    I had not expected anything and this was just the most wonderful treat ever.

    And speaking of birthday celebrations, YES I’m seeing Adam in Las Vegas in just 3 days! Can’t believe it and can’t wait! I have to work like a fiend for the next two days, but then Saturday morning, hubby and I fly away to Las Vegas for an overnight party with Adam in Sin City. WOOOHOOOO!! My one regret – didn’t get a VIP M&G package. What was I thinking?? The fact that hubby is joining me must have thrown me off when I was buying tickets and I didn’t give into my inner stangirl. Dang it! I’m so jealous of those of you who are getting M&Gs next week!

    What a magnificent thing to wake up to! All the official versions were blocked here, but thanks to ALL I found the YouTube. Adam always said that the one genre that he thought he couldn’t wouldn’t do was country. ROTFL Well, he proved himself wrong. And I loved how he let his voice soar in the end. Country artists don’t do that! The few seconds at the end where Adam and Leona sang together was beautiful. Hopefully they will duet more in the future and let their voices blend.

    Well I have to say that CMT knew what the heck they were doing. Adam can tackle any song and bring it to it’s knees. Standing ovation from the biggest stars in country. Not bad………

    I am so enamored with this performance. It is truly beautiful!

    Do you ever wonder what it is that finally tips the scales? Could this be it?
    I’m not sure of the audience numbers for a show like this on a cable network, but the buzz is generating. I’m betting this performance may be a talking point on many radio stations this morning, hopefully with clips being played on air.
    Wouldn’t it be ironic if Nashville and country music are the catalyst for Adam being more accepted in the US? Not that Adam is switching to country, but that CMT put him on live TV and it is reaching an entirely different audience that either didn’t know Adam or only know of him with more embellishments.

    Maybe this isn’t “it” but at the very least we have another outstanding, gorgeous performance by Adam to swoon over…until the next one!
    Or maybe it’s another baby step.

    Gosh! He killed it! So so good! Perfection!

    nkd It is hard to predict what will tip the scales in the US. There have been other TV appearances which have highlighted his haunting voice and “softer” side. I’m thinking of “Titanium” on AI. This was a totally different audience though and I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be enough positive buzz to if not tip, at least nudge the scales.

    His introduction as a superstar made me so happy. He deserves the recognition.

    mils hope your swelling is under control and that you aren’t too uncomfortable. Sounds like it is pretty nasty.

    And dont get me started on THAT song. Freaking hell he didnt kill it, he crushed it. Totally blew it away. The song is stucked in my head, listening again and again.
    Even played it in front of my trainiee who loves Leona Lewis. Her reaction was so surprising. She said that Leona was good but had a hard time against Adam. My trainiee was totally amazed by Adams voice, the feelings you can hear in his voice.

    That was a really smart move from Team Adam!

    I’ve watched a zillion times again today!
    It made me so happy when the screens opened and it was only Adam walking forward to start the song. Call me selfish, entitled, I don’t care. Leona was beautiful as well but I could have used an all Adam version! I kind of love him! Razz In Love
