2014 wraps up this month and what a year it has been. We did not get a new album but many of us got to see Adam and Queen perform live and will see them again in the UK and Europe. Adam still found time to record “Imagine” for UNICEF and starting December 1, also be part of “giveStars“ where all proceeds go to charity. Throw in a Classic Rock Award for Band of the Year and an appearance on the UK X Factor and I would say that it was a pretty good year for Adam and ALL his fans. December will probably be quieter as he prepares for the Winter 2015 Q+AL tour but we have plenty to keep us going until the tour starts. Here’s hoping that some news about the new album will be Adam’s year-end gift to us! He’s the gift that keeps on giving!! And speaking of gifts, how about spending NYE with Queen and Adam in London! What a way to ring in the New Year!!!

What a delight to be part of such a warm, loving, and caring community!
After a long, tiring day at work, it made me so happy to come here and see all of the lovely messages.
Then it was topped off with a wonderful birthday dinner with hubby at our favorite Italian restaurant, followed by a fun text exchange with dear nkd, in which we relived our epic night at the Philly QAL show when Adam sprayed us… twice! And our enthusiasm about it actually made him giggle! *sigh*

Watched X Factor UK results show last night only to figure out about 10 minutes in that something was very wrong. We got Labyrinth instead of QAL!!!
Turns out we are a week behind in Canada….
Trying to figure out NYE plans here. The BBC1 NYE live stream will be radio only. We need a satellite dish. There is a UK pub just 5 minutes from my house and I am pretty sure they have satellite because they have non-stop soccer on all of their TV’s. They might even carry the BBC New Years broadcast since, visually, the place is pretty much a 3-D Union Jack.
They might be open to hosting a bunch of us at the early hour of 6-8pm, as long as we clear out before the serious spenders drop in. And it’s an easy stagger to my house for those of us who might be “a bit too merry”.

Yes, that’s a better description (i.e. the cause is a minor annoyance.) I don’t think he would be annoyed at the paps – all publicity is good after XF – unless they said something to garner a negative reaction. The UK tabloid press is pretty awful.

I just picked up our Krakow tickets from the post office. They are the coolest looking concert tickets I’ve ever seen. They’re high quality with an interesting background design and the Queen insignia, and to top it off, they’re in Polish. All very exciting!
I bought the tickets from Ticketpro, which was the official site handling the fan club ticket sales for Krakow. The site was very user friendly. I used the English language option and was able to pick out my seats, and easily navigate through check out and payment. Even better, the total fee for purchasing 3 tickets and having them shipped to the USA by registered mail was only about $8. Compare that to the ordeal we go through every time we buy tickets in the US… The Prague tickets were also very easy to purchase. Ticketmaster and the even more evil Ticketfly could learn a few lessons from these European ticket sites.
