I just googled Oscar nominated director of the Best Picture winner of 2002 “Chicago” – Rob Marshall – to see what he’s up to these days.
He’s set to direct the film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical “Into The Woods”.
Back in 2009, Marshall was asked this question:
“Now that you’ve worked with Fergie,[in the movie “Nine”] is there another pop artist you’d like to direct in a film?”
He answered:
“I think Adam Lambert is an incredibly talented guy, and I’d like to work with him very much. He comes from musicals and theater, so I have this feeling he’ll have a big career past the pop world, and that’s exciting. Because I see how he works — he works as an actor when he sings”.
Based on that, I have this little fantasy, playing in a loop, in my mind.
Would Rob Marshall consider Adam for either the role of “Cinderella’s Prince” or “Repunzel’s Prince” for the movie?!

Not exactly the best Sondheim song I’ve ever heard but what an opportunity for Adam if he was to play one of those roles. A supporting role in what’s bound to be a big, splashy musical would be a perfect way to introduce Adam to movie audiences.
Just a thought.
