After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    Hi Ron, my dumb iPhone did not show the tweet about Ashley. But I just got a call from BestBuy and my pc will be ready tomorrow. But they lost my screen saver…the GN pic with Sleepwalker coat in the “clouds”. Well, maybe it’s time I changed it.

    Did you see on Thehomeplanet last night chunky was fantasizing about Adam singing The National Anthem at the super bowl in Indianapolis. Apparently a few weeks back the official super bowl tweeted Adam “are you going to join us in your hometown for Super Bowl?”… or something like that.

    I love Brian May. Can’t wait for an Adam/Queen concert. I’m positive it will happen.

    We’re quiet today…too much recent excitement, time to regroup while we look toward all the wonderful things that luval just identified.

    I am so pleased that BTIKM is doing so well! I am liking it a little better, still think it is too long, but the opinion of this one cranky fan is irrelevant in the greater scheme of things. I know that there will be something for me later, and I can’t wait to hear Adam do this live. Leno? I’d love to have him start there, there is a lot of Leno love. Ellen can wait a little bit, too likely that she will go to Fingate…I used to think it was weird that she brought up the AMAs, but she obviously loves Adam and I have come to believe that she brings it up to give him an opportunity to wave it away. (shrugs)

    I hope that Adam and Sauli have a quiet New Year at home, perhaps with friends. No need for pap photos of a very likely at least slightly inebriated Adam so soon after fingate.

    Big New Year’s Eve celebration is coming. Lots of things to prepare.

    Quick post:

    Glad ….. that the new band members are introduced.

    Excited…that now they must be practicing the new songs for promos and eventually tours.

    Hope …. that Sauli is on tour with Adam so they both won’t be lonely.

    After each performance, when the lights turned off, all the adoration fans gone, Adam’s adrenalin is still high, he needs somebody there to congratulate and celebrate with. No fun to go to the empty room on the tour bus or go to bars in every town. I know that he has band members with him. But they are together all the time on the tour. It’s different to have a loved one there with him.

    Happy … if they create a job for Sauli. May be a costume changer?!?
    Sauli can keep his regular blog and Tutka on the tour too.

    Totally agree with your wise post, sistasif.
    It is going to be hard during this period for Sauli to keep his own identity and new life in LA that is still under construction. And nothing could be worse for the relationship if he isn’t able to. I am wondering if those things will affect this tour? Fewer concerts, less travel? Perhaps an effort to have fewer larger venues to which fans would travel? (Not that we don’t already, roll of eyes here…) Another seven month 100+ concert tour would take a toll on the relationship.

    Good morning!
    Took my morning run and listened to FYE mixed in with Queen and BTIKM, etc. Can not wait for what will be happening in 2012. Adam sounds so happy, the band situation is resolved. As far as his personal life, hope upon hope everything goes smooth but if it doesn’t, life is not over and you move on. Not easy but it will happen.

    Speaking about iTunes, I know they are saying that BTIKM sold well but geesh, with way over a million twitter followers I thought it would do better.

    Nicki Minaj has over 8,000,000 followers on Twitter yet she debuted at #81 (Adam #76)

    It was proven before that number of followers has nothing to with sales.

    I hope Adam eats his black-eyed peas on New Year’s Day – we want him to cover all of the bases for a great 2012! He needs to be this Angel right now, not this Handcuffs , haha!

    I was in New Orleans for X-mas and New Year once and the family I was staying with had black-eyed peas for New Year. I also had the best seafood gumbo there.

    Is Adam going to have any gig for NYE?

    asif, looks like no gig for Adam on NYE – I think we’d have heard something about it by now. I’m a little surprised, but I guess we’ll just have to be “patient” a bit longer (boo!!!).

    Next time you’re in New Orleans, be sure and visit the Gumbo Shop – so many wonderful varieties of gumbo! I also love the beignets at Cafe du Monde. Why am I starving all of a sudden? Wink

    So, I saw one of my fellow Adam fans at work yesterday. She says “what’s new with Adam?” I ask “have you started going on line yet?” ” Nope”, so all I tell her is that he has a new song coming out soon. She’s like “really?”. She loves him, but, she’s clueless.

    Now, I saw my other fan-friend at work, and all she wanted to talk about was the “arrest.” I set her straight. She’s going on-line this weekend. I gave her a few pointers.

    About the tweets, to me, the most info was that Monte was definitely not mentioned. By occlusion, we now know for sure that he’s out. No more speculation, no more wonder. Now, he just needs to let us know about the dancers. And makeup , and manager. I would love to see Neil again.

    Interesting thought…. I hadn’t even thought of this.

    I have to admit that a little bit of sadness came over me when Adam introduced his new “Monteless” band. Yes, I will definitely miss Monte, but I am ready to move forward right along with Adam. I will be fine!
