After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    I can’t remember if I shared this Adam Moment with you guys yet or not (and I’m too lazy to go back and check, lol ), so here I go: my daughter has a part-time job at a burger joint (Mexican burgers – served with refried beans, guacamole, ham, crispy tostada and spicy chipotle sauce – YUM!), and she came home from work the other night and said, “Oh my gosh! They played so much Adam Lambert music tonight, I thought I was gonna go crazy!”. Hmmm, too much Adam? Not possible!

    asif – love the quick shot of Adam’s tapping his foot in time to the music – notice he often does that.

    And, yes, luval – when his voice comes in with “cold as ice” it’s startling – the strength and beauty – after the very quiet opening.

    luval … The person who took Sauli’s photo bathing in the sunset, he not only can sang, but has eye for the beauty as a photographer too.

    For some reasons, this photo made me gasp …and look at it for a long time … My thought was like this …Sauli is not just a pretty face, a smiling face, a YAY ..face that I always see. This one has depth and has personality.
    I don’t know how to express. I love this photo of Sauli the most.

    Well, are any of us still hopeful for a New Year’s Eve performance? I guess we would have heard the details by now. Adam certainly wasn’t referring to me when he used the word “patience” in the fan message yesterday. I can’t believe we still have another month to wait!

    Loved loved loved that roller coaster game! Perfect timing, we went to Busch Gardens Christmas Town last night and son rode coasters…I try valiantly to have December 25 start Christmas instead of end it, as the holiday was intended. The 12 days of Christmas, remember?

    Loved that series of Adam videos…you could almost see him trying to muster up enough oomph to do another one, and he tried to change each one up a little bit – love him! Heart
    I watched them a few dozen times to try to figure out in which order they were recorded…

    We have no idea of the amount of pressure this sweet man is under. You can tell he’s tired and his voice is strained. If this album does’nt surpass the last one, he might not be able to make a third one on a major label. SO PLEASE. Everybody buy it. You can be assured his voice will redeem it even if there is weak material. I’m assuming there isn’t any! I’ve pre-ordered mine at Amazon.com. When he says “I hope you’re not disappointed,” it actually kind of choked me up. He means it.

    Thanks, asif, for posting the link to “Darkside” – it was too late last night for me to figure out how to do it. It seems from Sauli’s blog and pic that he is on the AFL roller coaster (thanks, AL!) for the long haul! Yea! I think Adam really needs him now!

    Just read Sauli’s blog. Brought a huge smile! LA feels like home…Sauli does seem like a person who would need sunny days and an outgoing climate, not rain and cold and a climate that keeps everyone insulated and cocooning at home for a large part of the year. Liking him betterer and betterer. Love how he reassures fans without giving away personal details. Heart

    Kelly maybe feeling the “Darkside” now of fandom. I don’t know what she was thinking but she mention on twitter that she was for Ron Paul, altho didn’t think he’d get the nomination. A firestorm hit as her fans and others railed on her political choice. I feel the man is scary and I feel many others do too. She’s entitled to her opinion but doing so on on twitter is not too smart. Lesson learned I hope.

    Jojosie, I think that a lot of celebrities don’t “get” twitter and its power and influence and ability to create sh*tstorms, or even what is appropriate use. A celebrity cannot use twitter in the same way as, say, @insomniac19.

    Remember the very personal tweets between Drake (remember him? Frown ) and Adam when he first got his twitter account? Adam learned fast and was even part of a panel at the last Grammy awards. I think his use of twitter (to announce recording or performing news, reassure fans, share the personal information that he wants to share, and set stories straight) is nothing short of masterful. A lot of celebrities could learn from him.

    Texas, I was hoping for a NYE performance, but now think it won’t happen. Last year, Adam was coming down off the tour, this year is his first chance to spend this romantic occasion with Sauli and enjoy the lull before the January-March madness/promotion.

    Loved Sauli’s blogpost. It felt real and honest and settled. I too agree that it appears that Sauli is on the AFL rollercoaster for the long haul, and I’m very very happy for both of them. And I adore the last line:

    I have no plans for New Year’s yet, but really all you need is the best possible company. Smile

    OMG how sweet and touching is that?

    And I agree asifclueless— that is an amazing picture of Sauli and LA. Adam is a very good photographer – he has a great eye and a great sense of composition – and Sauli is a beautiful subject. That photo gives him real depth.

    I just arrived in LA last night – visiting family for the holidays. Gotta say, the weather here is spectacular – clear and bright, sunny, and warm! I’ll keep my eyes open and if I spot Adam and Sauli out and about, I’ll let y’all know! Wink And if Adam announces any last-minute NYE performances in the LA area — I am SO THERE!

    asif, ITA what you said about Sauli’s picture. The composition is wonderful, with the city skyline on the left. If Adam really is the one taking some pictures he’s tweeted, he’s really got an eye for composition. Remember the one of the Shanghai skyline at night? I want to believe it is him – I think he’s artistic and creative and has an eye for beauty (well, he’s confessed to that lol).
    ETA: Hehehe, cwm, great minds lololol!

    I loved Adam’s “special message to his fans” about Trespassing. I said this on MJs, but I’m going to copy it here, because I really believe it.

    One of the things I love so much about Adam is that he is full of contradictions and complexities, and that is part of what makes him so fascinating to me as an artist and as a human being. I accept all of him – the light and the dark – and I’m grateful that he has decided to lift the veil a little bit and let us see in a little further. To me, Adam is an artist in the truest sense of the word. As such, he uses his art to explore and express his own heart and soul, and in the process, tap into and express the range of human experience and emotion.

    Combine that honest self-exploration and self-expression with his amazing sense of musicality and his phenomenal voice, and yeah, I think I’m going to be “into it”!

    riskylady, those few tweets were deleted almost immediately…I got the impression that Adam and Drake actually thought they were DMs. The one I remember most was a petulant tweet from Drake basically whining that Adam needed to come home from a photo shoot because he was lonely. Another made a very personal reference to their bed. It was pretty horrifying. (IMHO) It was the very beginning of Adam’s tweetlife.

    Just read his twitter party – hmmm…the last question he answered involved Sauli, then he took off to enjoy the day! Smile

    I’m actually out of town right now and posting this from a hotel computer with peeps waiting in line for me to get off the computer!! I need to be fast. I just have to say that I read Adam’s tweets from Neil’s Twitter party on 24/7. OMG… Could he have been any more supportive of his brother?!?! Adam never ceases to amaze me with his articulation skills and knowing just the right perfect thing to say!
