After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    It scared me a bit. I couldn’t get on this site after my last post.

    Suz Happy Holidays !!! And thank you for everything you’ve done for us. I always wonder where you are but guess that you’re very busy.

    cwm, thanks for your concern. I’m fine now. My cloudy and heavy heart is all about Adam and Sauli.
    I love mils’ posts about Adam and that’s what I was so sad of the news from Finland. All I could say was, ” Adam .. why? .. why?.. why? .. Adam?”

    Now, all is good. I’m looking forward to new music and Adam Era 2. Hopefully he’ll be on NYE and many TV shows.

    mils ..love your rants … rant more..please. And you’re welcome …glad you enjoy Barbra and Il Divo. I have all Il Divo cds and been to one concert.

    Together at Lax – but uneasy about a fight so emotional and raw that Adam was crying. IMO Sauli said or did something that set him off.

    And didn’t like the vibe of the LAX vid – could just be exhaustion – hope so.

    Those TMZ paps could not be more annoying and rude. Even once they know they are not going to get anything out of Adam or Sauli, they just keep on pestering them. How can anybody stand it?
    ETA: You all are right, the paps could have been a lot more rude than this. Who am I kidding? Fat chance they would just let them go home. The pap’s pseudo-friendly attempts to tease something out of the two in this situation just gets to me. Good thing I am not a celebrity.

    Good to see that Adam and Sauli got home safe and sound.

    ultima – I get the same vibe from this video as I do from any other video where Adam is being bothered by paps he doesn’t want to deal with. Like usual, he tolerates it with mild irritation, mostly by trying to evade and/or ignore them, and giving them very little to work with.

    In this case I think they just wanted to be left alone so they could get home in peace. And I’m sure Adam wants to be able to address the “incident” on his own terms in a proper interview, not in a pap encounter, so he was being extra cautious.

    I don’t get a good vibe either from this video but I’m sure they were just exhausted. TMZ must have their staff (and I used that word loosely) stationed at LAX 24/7. Why is Adam wearing that scarf around his face?

    I’m sure Adam and Sauli would like to sweep this whole insane Helsinki ordeal under the rug at this point. I’m also sure they spent time and energy afterwards doing damage control in Finland with Sauli’s family and friends. Now they have to begin the same thing back in LA with all the questions and comments they will no doubt receive. I’m sure these two “hoodlums” Wink are not looking forward to this part of the trip home. Yes, they both must be so exhausted, both physically as well as mentally. I think Sauli just looked very uncomfortable with the pap. Adam did a good job of being polite, but brief. I think the scarf was just another way of Adam trying to “hide” along with the big dark glasses and cap.
    I’m sure these boys are embarrassed!

    I was in Verona very briefly earlier this year, such a beautiful place. Would love to go there again,especially to see Adam, and my husband loves queen so maybe he’d come too!!!

    I didn’t like the LAX video either, but thought the pap was quite polite compared to many videos we’ve seen.

    Just checking in -am at work this morning- and I, too, feel strange vibes about the video at the LAX airport. It just may be that they agreed not to say anything in any context that they were not in control of or anything “on the fly”. Possibly Adam is feeling the depth of his fans’emotions about the incident, hearing that we love him but are disappointed and concerned and is unsure about how to proceed…especially after the earlier tweets. Fingers crossed…

    As for Verona…I AM READY! As a former Latin(yes!) teacher I have spent a great deal of time in Italy over many years including taking students on 3 occasions as well as many many sojourns of my own. But we haven’t been back since 1987 and had already been thinking about another trip. Once I heard the rumor a few weeks back and now this tweet, I AM READY AND DETERMINED!
    Can you imagine Adam singing in one of those open amphitheaters the Italians are so wont to use for performances-operas, the jazz fesivals, etc. Some of the acoustics are phenomenal…the ancient Romans knew what they were doing! Queen and Adam in a Roman amphitheater in mid summer. Could anythng be better than that??!!

    Adam has always refused to talk about his private life and I’m sure he won’t now. Just a polite “no comment” or “ask me about my album, not my personal life”. Of course if he’s on Ellen she will ask him about it and also the AMA’s. She never fails.

    Little dutchess, I’m at work but I tried to look up a flight schedule to Verona! Gosh, middle of summer… planes will be packed.

    Hi, all. Well, turns out an Italian newspaper was the one that reported the Verona appearance, so an Italian fan wrote to Brian May on his blog (he actually answers many posts) asking him. (There is a jazz festival at that time in Verona.) Here’s his (SAD) reply:

    luval you’re right about packed planes mid summer, but surely we can fly in somewhere and drive!From London(lots of flights) you’ve got Ryannair and Easy Jet that could get us almost anywhere from there. We can do it!! Maybe thru Switzerland is another possibilty. If it were announced early enough it shouldn’t be too bad. Glamberts can make this happen!

    Better TMZ video at the airport.

    Not really bad. Both of Adam and Sauli are tired but managed to smile and say a few words. Sauli also smiled and let Adam talk. The pat in the back is good … It shows that Adam cares and he is a gentle soul.

    TMZ was not bad either. They were quite polite to them.
    Imagine the worst with a pack of bloodhound papz circling around them with all the flashes up to their faces.

    Have watched the TMZ videos a few times. Here’s my take on them. They are exhausted. Sauli is as stiff as a board, especially when Adam pats him on the back…like he doesn’t want to get too close to Adam. The pat on the back didn’t seem right to me either. Sauli’s smile is forced. They’ll have lots of things to sort out when they get home. But again, they are exhausted. What do I know? Not a damn thing. Smile

    I’m really puzzled by peeps that look/hunt for the negativity
    in every action. Is this a half empty/half full thing? Or
    maybe a disappointment defense? If I’m already down, it can only
    get better. I’m thinking traveling on Christmas/Sunday was cause
    getting ready for single push – band pratice, etc. Good things

    haha jlurk…If you’re a Debbie Downer like me you always look for the worst. Smile Regarding the TMZ video, it’s just my opinion. Anyone can disagree or disregard. We’re all different in that sense. I sometimes envy people that are upbeat and happy all the time. I like to prepare for any eventuality so for me it’s starting from the bottom and working up! I like to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Keeps me on top of things.

    I’m sure Adam has to go back to “work” pretty soon. NYE…don’t know. Wasn’t Gridlock a last minute gig?

    jlurksacto, I’m with you when it comes to Adam&Sauli.
    I didn’t detect anything negative in TMZ vid. Boys have 10 hour jetlag, after minimum 15 hours flight with one stop (No direct flight from Helsinki to LA). They must be tired like hell, yet Adam is still friendly to the paps and Sauli is prolly biting his tongue. I think that they opted for traveling on Xmas,cause the airports and planes are the least crowded. Tried it once myself and it was great.
    Other than that, looks like Adam is getting ready for PROMO. I can’t wait to listen to BTIKM live… Smile

    I agree with your entire post, Oksana.

    Not only did these boys have to deal with the long flight, but they also had to deal with all the airport/luggage issues as well — just like the rest of us. From this 55 seconds tape, my read is that they are exhausted and doing their very best to be polite. Adam knows that his comments will be on YouTube for all to see (and evaluate). No worries here — he did a great job of being polite and evasive at the same time. Smart man!! As I mentioned above, I feel that Sauli is still not 100% comfortable here in the United States, especially with the paps. I feel he does look up to Adam for guidance here. These guys are coming back to the US with baggage other than suitcases.

    Hang in there, Adam and Sauli. We still love you!

    I like the sound of Claude Kelly’s “Cuckoo” — I’m getting sort of a Michael Jackson type of musical vibe from it. The lyrics remind me so much of “Sleepwalker” — same theme.

    That TMZ video kinda bothers me. I get the exhaustion, the jet lag, etc. But, the scarf over the face and the boys, um, stiffness, and the pat just seemed tense.

    I’ve never seen Adam avoiding paps quite as strongly. Who knows. Maybe they talked on the plane and decided to play it “cool” together.

    I’m just glad he’s back in the states. He’s got some promoting to do. A video to shoot. A magazine to pose for.

    And a reputation to keep in check.

    Loved that down under post. Very cute.

    Also loved the comparison on MJ’s of Simon vs Adam on the jet ski. IMHO. Both sexy. Both handsome. One open, one zipped up. One ginger, one hairy. LOL

    Hope everyone had a good Holiday. I was rather bored yesterday as we had our Christmas with family on Saturday. I’m not much of a writer, as I don’t post often, I’m more of an oral communicator (in other words I’m a talker). I also have and inquisitive mind so I went on the Internet and looked up Sauli’s family business since Adam was visiting them I was curious. It wasn’t hard to find and if and if anyone else is interested it’s http://www.ra-sk.fi. His fathers name is Osmo. The interesting thing I saw besides the business was that they foster and support sports and cultural activities. Under music was the daughter Saana, who is and artist and singer. There were about a dozen athletes and artist listed. Saana’s art is very modern and different so I wonder if Adam has any of it. If he didn’t he may have now. Not worried about Adam very much, life is too short to waste it. I only really worry when there is really something to worry about. Haven’t found that yet. Can’t wait to see whats next in the “In The Life And Times Of Adam Lambert”. Sounds like a title for a novel or TV show. Thinking
