After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    Glambotgram, I’m feeling your quiet Christmas Eve. Both married daughters are with the in-laws, as well as the baby. But I’m with my husband and youngest at my parents, so all is good!

    I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thanks to all for the kind comments, this site is truly a labor of love, and I’m happy that you guys enjoy hanging out here! I’m glad things seem to have calmed down over in Finland, still not sure what the ultimate effect of these events will be but not gonna worry anymore about it for now. What will be will be.

    I want to add my voice to the chorus and thank eywflyer for opening and maintaining this site for us! It’s truly a gift.

    I was thinking about you eywflyer about two weeks ago when I was cleaning out a chest of drawers. This, of course, would bring you to mind, right? Big Smile No, it was then that I came upon the “Agnes and John” thing. I forgot I had it and realized it was given to me during a vacation many years ago in … Key West.

    I’m glad some of you got a kick out of it. I hope some didn’t find it too off-color! I just had to leave several things out of that correspondence because they really crossed the line. So, believe it or not, I posted the “cleaned up” version. Big Smile

    I have visions of sugar-plums dancing in my head which is very odd because I don’t know what sugar-plums are and I think you’re supposed to be asleep for this to happen. Confused

    Does anyone ever feel that they want Adam to be successful so that they can get their life back? Three years for pete’s sake and I’m still here – WTH is this all about – lol.

    This week has been a madhouse, but I’m alone tonight (good) – everyone’s going to Midnight Mass and then back for a feast at a daughter’s house – so I have time to drink and graze the internet – my favorite hobby it appears. Very pleasant. More frenzy tomorrow – but that will be enjoyable as I don’t have to do anything. Keep coming back here to see if anything pops up – sure – like on Christmas Eve. Well, you never know – it’s also the season of ghosts – spooky stories are great this time of year. Ghosts of Seasons Past, Present, and Future (the last the scariest one of all).

    Dropping in to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas–or whatever version of that fits your life. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

    My brother, his wife, and their two sons just left my house (that Mom and I shared). We did okay with the dinner and gifts…then we acknowledged that we missed Mom but that was okay because it is the first Christmas that she and Dad have had together in over 20 years.

    Thank you eywflyer for being here for us. We love what you do for us. It’s a second home for me and seemingly many others.

    Also, I think I missed wishing apall23 a Happy Birthday. Hope it is a good one.

    I know what you mean, ultimathule. Sometimes Often times I feel I am way too over invested in this whole thing, but I can’t keep away. Adam has this magnetic attraction that just keeps me clinging. His last tweet tonight really did me in. I think I need some serious help!!! Any doctors in the house??? Doctor Eek!

    I think, dcglam, I (we) feel Adam is this combination of both courage and strong open emotions which allow him to be deeply hurt – and to see someone so brave be rejected by anything or anyone is painful.

    Merry Christmas, all! Brunch is done and I only have to do salad and dessert (already made!) for dinner so I can sneak on here for a bit. eywflyer my huge thanks too for running this site. It is almost the only place I go to anymore since you are all so good at ferreting out all the news from the farthest reaches on the internet.

    I went to church last night and all I could think of during the “Oh Holy Night” solo was Adam singing it! I guess we’ll know he’s made it when he puts out a Christmas album!

    Gotta say, my husband is a man after my own heart. He gave me an upgraded stereo system for my car – so now I have top-notch sound while I drive! Just in time for BTIKM and Trespassing! Woot!

    Wow. Thanks asif, I’ve been lost in Barbra and Il Divo. I’ve never seen that before. So beautiful. Those voices are stunning. I also love me some Il Divo.

    I have a couple of their CD’s. Whenever I’m with my mom we listen to them. She’s a super fan of theirs. She made me promise her that if they ever come to town while she’s still able to, I have to bring her to a concert. She’s never ever been to any concert. Plays, sure. Symphony, sure. No concerts.

    I’ll gladly take her. I wonder if they tour the states anymore.

    My thoughts about Adam’s tweets?

    They were directed to his fans and to his naysayers. He has used his lyrics before to explain feelings, or even just to highlight fun or naughty ones.

    This time, I think it’s a feeling of regret. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was surfing the net,seeing what a headline this was, trended worldwide, worried about his reputation.

    On the other hand, he made world news, he was mentioned all the f*ck everywhere, so:

    He is known world-wide. His name is known world-wide. He’s a huge f*cking star!!!!!

    This means no more drunken escapades Mr Lambert!!!!

    And, I agree, if he doesn’t appear with Sauli from now on, it will look bad for them both.

    And, one more thing, Adam has been on Sauli’s turf, he can see that Sauli is a huge star in Finland, very beloved, and that has to be humbling. I also picked up on some weird dynamics when they were leaving the AMA after-party. A power struggle or bad vibey thing.

    Jet lag, liquor, whatever, this whole incident is cause for reflection, about the relationship, about celebrity and fame and public relations, and the physical toll jet lag, vodka and stress takes on you as you get older.

    I know from my experience with international travel, the thought of having even one drink when the jet lag is that severe, is enough to put me under. And, he took two TWO huge flights in just a few days. He looked really tired in that photo on the street in Finland, sans makeup, no wonder.

    IMHO. He needs to assess these things, and understand that when he tours again, he can’t party so much and still have any energy left for the stage,or he’ll end up like so many others, ruining his voice, his career, his reputation, and his health.

    My worry, besides the above? Is that he’ll end up on some celebrity rehab show. That will be the end of this for me. I respect him too much to see him keep making mistakes and then apologizing on twitter.

    I love your rant, mils. ITA. Although the “incident” is now past I still feel a bit of a cloud hanging over him. We can only wait to see what will happen on his journey.I would just be sick if I woke up and yet again see more bad publicity.

    On a happier note he just tweeted Merry Xmas.

    ETA: hope mom and dad are supportive although I keep forgetting he’s no kid.

    Thanks, asif, for Metal Lambert. It brought a smile to my face and also got me wondering what Adam’s hair would look like in that dark auburn shade of the guitarist on the left.
