After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). ~~Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.~~

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

Well, the truth seems to be coming into clearer focus and things seem to be calming down. To me, it was a stupid and unfortunate thing for Adam and Sauli to do, and the timing stunk. But I feel like Adam has fessed up and taken responsibility for his actions, is appropriately contrite and embarrassed, and through his tweets, I feel he is trying to handle the fall-out from the situation with honesty, courage, remorse, grace, and humor. Which I appreciate and value.

The other thing that has become very clear in the last 24 hours is that the incident was blown way out of proportion by the media. It’s a shame it became so much fodder for the tabloids and for fan angst. But heck, even the Helsinki police are saying that it was a minor incident and the media made a mountain out of a molehill (or a tempest in a teapot).

I don’t know whether or not Adam has a drinking problem. I hope not. I don’t know whether there is trouble in paradise for his and Sauli’s relationship. I hope not. But that’s for him and them, and for those close to them, to figure out. I’m not going to jump to any conclusions on the basis of what we’ve seen thus far. Mistakes happen; he’s human. And I do believe Adam when he says that he learned a lesson. Hopefully it won’t happen again.

Bottom line, for me, is that I love Adam and his music to pieces, and I want all the best for him, both professionally and personally. I do find it frustrating that just as he’s on the cusp of releasing great music, he does something that distracts from the music. But I do think that this incident was not nearly as serious as it initially appeared to be and that it will blow over relatively quickly. I think he’ll get questions about it in some interviews, but I don’t think it will negatively impact his career in the long run.

And good grief, could the lyrics to BTIKM be any more prescient? This incident really imbues those lyrics with meaning. There’s your music video for BTIKM right there, Adam.

Besides the hilarious “Don’t Hate Finland” video and the story in smileys, my other favorite response to the incident was this tweet to Adam and Sauli:

Adam made my paper this morning as the first article in Show Business news, with the picture from the AMA’s this year. It said that he assaulted two people. But that they were interrogated and released with no charges.

Sheesh.

And, just as I have predicted, I don’t think there will ever be clarification or retraction.

Whatever. It’s time to move on.

So, they were kissing out in front window of the same club? I think it’s all PR.

And every drugstore and grocery store these days has a wall of gift cards for every imaginable store, restaurant, itunes, etc. Give iTunes gift cards. They even have little cute boxes to put the cards in. My grocery store sells gift cards for Abercrombie, Barnes and Noble, Ruby Tuesday, Home Depot, Starbucks and a hundred other places. One stop shopping and one size fits all. No worries!

E network has Adam/Sauli mess still scrolling on the bottom of the screen. I think because of the holidays there is just nothing going on with Hollywood except “what is so and so doing for Christmas?”. So Adam’s news even from a day ago is the only thing different. People at work are now coming up to me and asking me about it. I just laugh it off now.

PR or not, glad to hear they are kissing. Better than fighting!

Hahahahaha Krad! You’re too funny. Well, good news and bad news. My brother decided not to drive down with the kids. Left them with their mom and her parents and is coming down alone for the night. Bad news: I don’t get to see them until next summer! Good news: He said not to get them gifts, that those little SH*#S don’t need anything!

I read an article today that referred to Lambert as a domestic abuser. I think we are just going to have to put on blinders to a lot of this stuff now and as you say, mils, move on. Hopefully, it will soon all go away. We need another big entertainment news story to take the focus away from A & S.

Hi everyone! Christmas eve day. Am off but working tomorrow on Christmas. I generally work most holidays since my small family is scattered around the country. Really don’t mind, though. So I’ll be here tomorrow checking in if anyone wants to get away from your “madness”.

Am totally over the Adam/Sauli thing. I’ve moved on. As many have said I love Adam as a person and love his music. This won’t change. But I tell ya, do not want to hear anything EVER about fights, drunkenness, etc. Wish it would just go away and other celeb news take it’s place. The E “scroll is coming on in about 5 minutes”.

Am going to gift a couple of GN dvd’s to people that I’ve just recently talked to about Adam and are curious. Music lovers that have never heard of Adam Lambert just kill me!! Just wish the hair wasn’t shaved but it’s all about the music, right?

btw…don’t know if I’ve said this but I am totally on the BTIKM train!! Just took a run and on my ipod it sounds amazing. That voice just can’t be beat. Gave me chills and it’s damn chilly outside here today! Can not wait until the album comes out.
