After a killer Queen + Adam Lambert of a July, the 5-star QAL tour is soon to wind down with only 3 concerts left. It wraps up in Houston, Texas and then the guys have a well-deserved break. Hopefully, we’ll get some more new music from Adam – or it will be the sound of crickets here for awhile – until they get together again for the UK/European leg in November.

Never thought about New York, ultimathule. Always thought about London. Maybe keeping a smaller house in LA & a second place in New York. But I can’t imagine he’d do that unless he had “business” in New York.

London….he said many times he would move there. They speak English! But I’m rethinking that because he hasn’t been there that much to look/decide on a place. Not at all lately. He was with that real estate agent when QAL (or was it TOH) played in London last year. But who knows. We’ll find out eventually I suppose.
Adam may already have a place in London, or in NY. Who knows really? Maybe he will give us a hint soon?

Wow that’s a surprise, Adam selling his house. He has only been there 3 years, and just had all that renovation outside. Asking 1 million more than he paid, that is some mark-up.
I wonder if he just feels like he is not there enough? Look at how long he has been away this last year, plus the next few months. And he probably has to pay someone for cleaning, security, upkeep. Maybe he has a big job lined up in NY or London or somewhere else? Inquiring minds want to know.

Wishing Adam a lot of success tonight.
Hoping he channels him well, and doesn’t look too much like him with clothes styling. He has looked so much like him in the past, noooo complaints here, I just wouldn’t want the day after critiques to be of imitation flavor.
Some of his fiercest, most handsome and sexy looks have been a la George.
He did such a great job on that show last summer with Faith and that awesome shirt.

Sooo…a few days…a few pages later…back from a family vacay to my beloved Door County…Google it if you’ve never heard of it or never been there, Cape Cod of the Midwest, great place….gonna try to recap Houston.
So, where was I?
Oh yes, the car ride from Dallas to Houston.
Made memorable also for the stop at Buccee’s . How do you describe it? It’s a farm stand, convenience store, deli, toy store, everything meat and jerky, jam/jelly, Texas tourist and candy store, everything from steer horns to praline place.
Cher might still be in there…
We finally made it to nkd’s house. A lovely, homey and comfy place. Much chit chat, nibbling on goodies from Buccee’s, and changing into Queen attire for dinner and the show.
Went to a place a block from the Toyota Center and met up with some Glamberts. Nice to see tchrdance and ovation impact as well. Had some light fare…and it was on to the venue.
I had a single seat, but…..oh. What a seat! !!!!!!
First row off floor, right in front of the stage right guitar wing tip. OMG. Every single time Adam came there, I had eye contact. He pointed and smiled right at me and did a great thrust another time with eyes baby eyes!!!!! DED. THUD….GDML. I saw it alllll.
Okay. That was me.
Overall, audience a lot tamer in Houston. I was up and dancing and clapping the whole show, but, most peeps behind me were SITTING most of the show! ! WTF???
I actually motioned for people to get up several times.
And this after the usual preshow, getting to know fans stuff.
Speaking of which. The fella sitting on my right was from Oz. A real die hard Queen fan. Quite snarky. Sat with arms crossed tightly. Most of show. Preshow making comments about not bring quite sure about this Lambert chap.
Well crikey . I said they were playing Oz in the spring. He seemed interested.
About midshow he was laughing and smiling. After the show I just looked at him, raised an eyebrow, and he said ” bloody excellent. ”
The show was fantastic, Adam gave his all, Brian talked about the tour, more speeches overall, at one point during STL I could see Adam and Brian exchange a knowing look, and Brian shook his head “no” , because the night before was the cray STL, and so they didn’t do it. Interesting.
On another note, for some reason I’ll never really understand, there were a lot of kids at this rock concert. From ages 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Near me. After GDML, all gone, with their parents.
I have ranted about this in the past, here and at MJ’s. Me. I. Myself. I do not understand why parents bring young children to rock concerts . Sooo many reasons.
The time at night is past bedtime. It’s too loud for young ears. It ruins the rock concert vibe for other fans. The content might be inappropriate. A seat for a real fan is taken by a kid. What ever happened to saying no???
Anywho, there ended up being empty seats near me. Fine. I ended up with more eye beams. Winner winner chicken dinner.
Went to merch table during Brian’s solo. Good thing too, a lot was sold out.
A really cool thing was that they switched up the confetti cannon from gold to Yellow tissue paper in Dallas and Houston and it floated in the air much longer and took long time to fall, making great photos.
After the show we all met up across the street in a hotel lobby, huge Glambert and Queen convention. And eventually made it back to nkd’s house, stayed up late noshing, nibbling, gabbing and giggling.
Next morning, noshing, nibbling, gabbing and giggling stage 2.
On to a great authentic Texas BBQ at Killen’s. Unreal. Meat a palooza.
Met up with callighou from back in the day at MJ’S. What a great gal!!!! How lucky nkd, Texaswannaholdem and she are to all be in Houston.
Spent a good amount of time there, just had a ball.
Then, sadly it all came to an end. Nkd took floridagirl and I to Hobby airport, and Cher went her separate way with Texaswannaholdem to the DFW airport. Floridagirl and I ended up killing an hour at….Pappasitas at our terminal. Lololol.
My flight home was delayed and then delayed. ..and my ride home was delayed….but got there safe.
It’s been two weeks now.
