After a killer Queen + Adam Lambert of a July, the 5-star QAL tour is soon to wind down with only 3 concerts left. It wraps up in Houston, Texas and then the guys have a well-deserved break. Hopefully, we’ll get some more new music from Adam – or it will be the sound of crickets here for awhile – until they get together again for the UK/European leg in November.

We’ve been very fortunate to only have street flooding and no flood waters in the house. We’ve maintained power through everything.
God bless the first responders, volunteer rescuers and public officials and news personnel that have been working round the clock for days now. It’s a dire situation for so many across the Texas gulf coast.
I’ve been in touch with several of you by text or email and that means a lot.
I feel blessed to have only lost sleep. Now to get through the next few days waiting for this to be over. My town has had 24+ inches of rain. 10″ of it in an hour and a half yesterday.
I plan on diving into some videos tonight! Bring it on! Need a little diversion from the worry, Adam and One More Try are a magic cure!

The dam release shouldn’t be an issue for us but it’s raining again all day today although the rains aren’t as heavy, maybe only 2-3 inches per hour. We seem to be draining so far when we get a break in it. Hope it holds out. There’s really not much more space for it to drain.
But I’m fortunate and extremely grateful to be dry in my house. It’s so bad everywhere around me and Harvey is coming back toward us. Won’t be through until Wednesday.

Still here! Keeping a watch on the water tonight. We had constant rain on Monday, approximately 10″ more. Expecting another 5-8″ before Tuesday evening. Just. Stop. Soon!
Thankfully it’s still in the street, I don’t know how. My yard is full of puddles but not rising water, as of this post anyway. Feeling so very grateful.
It’s heartwarming to see the many volunteers, even those that have water in their own homes, helping everyone and anyone, and the graciousness of those being rescued. Texas business owners have gone beyond what is expected. They will have my business!
A local Houston furniture store owner opened his store(s) as a shelter with new mattresses for those having to flee their homes. Amazing!
Texans have boats, big ass trucks and Hummers, and huge hearts!
Also, a huge thanks to all of the out of town/state volunteers and aid!
I kept the night watch…rain has stopped for now, water is going down.
Feels like old times when I’m posting late night/early morning all alone! That was normally about Mr No Pants or the such, not rainfall!
I need August to just be over!
Off to get some sleep, so if you text and I don’t reply, I’m asleep but doing good!
